Mindless Wed

    Mindless Wed

I woke up thinking today was tues. My days are all messed up this week!

I was up until 3 am last night. So, I need a coffee injection STAT.

Abbie is doing really good, I have to remember to call the vet because there is a little bulge, almost hernia like, near the front end of her incision line. I'd hate for there to be an internal complication going on. She acts totally normal though.

Well, I better get moving. Don't want to be late for work!

Glad Abbie is doing better.  She really had us Aussie fans worried.  Sending vibes for no incision problems.

Hmmmm, seems everytime I start a chat, someone beats me to it and I have to delete!  maybe the universe is telling me something!

It does NOT feel like the middle of the week already.  And I don't have the typical markers everyone else does!

But, I'm feeling positive today.  About things in general, not specifically a job.  Just positive, and that sure can't hurt!

    Have a great day everyone!

Glad Abbie is doing well and hope the bump is nothing.

Continued good thoughts for jobs for Glenda and Paige.

My guy friend from back home called me last night!  Said I could visit him at any time.  I told him he'd have to invite me first.

Credit union called me yesterday.  Apparently my credit card has been compromised, so am cancelling it and filing a fraud report.  Fortunately it was only about $700 and they will refund me fully once I get the form sent in.  I haven't even used the card since April 29th, so wonder who got hacked.

Amanda, very good story about your trip to the vet yesterday!  Glad you spoke up to both those morons.  I hope Brutus is feeling better soon.

I am glad to hear Abbie feeling better.  Did the vet, or anyone, ever figure out what happened?

Glenda and Paige job vibes are still coming at ya :)

I know I'm a few days late with this news, I can't seem to stay caught up on anything...but....on Monday we were planning on going to 6-Flags but everyone pretty much decided it was going to be too hot, so we didn't go.  Instead, I got a NEW CAR!!!!!  We'd been talking about it for awhile.  And as much as I LOVED my truck, we really needed something better on gas and w/ more room inside so we can haul both child and dogs somewhere (that was rough in my truck).  So no more truck Sad but I now have a 2010 Toyota Matrix!!

Oh, and it's already been dubbed the "GhettoMobile" b/c on the way home from the dealership, the thin, cardboard, temp tag they put on CAME OFF!! So we got home and Uh Oh, no tags.  I called the salesman's cell (dealership closed before we got home and he'd left for the day, thankfully he had put his cell # on the back of his card.  He said to put a piece of cardboard w/ the tag number from the registration on it.  So we did and now I am driving around w/ brown cardboard on the back of my new car, where the tag should be.  Awesome.  The sales guy is supposed to be calling me to let me know what they want to do about it, but no call yet, so I'm calling him today.

    W/o further adu...pics!

ETA: Glad to hear about your friend calling you back, Tina :)  And now I'm off to read yesterday's thread and see what's going on w/ Bru.

So Tina, did he formally invite you?  It sounded like an open ended invitation to me.

    Cute car, Steph!!!

I was woke up this morning at 3:30 by something hard poking me in the butt.

Get your minds out of the gutter, ladies!  Somehow, the tv remote had ended up in bed with us.  I'm not sure how it happened since we don't have a tv in our bedroom.

Boo is gettting around a little better this morning.  He was really stiff when we got him out of bed, but once I got him moving around, he seems more comfortable.

No, but when he asked why that was I said I didn't want to show up to discover he wasn't there or worse, he had company.  He laughed, said wouldn't be a problem, just give him a couple hours notice so he could make sure the spare room was straightened up.  Since I don't own a cell phone, I told him he'd get at least 3 hours notice if I call before I leave home, but it'd more likely be a couple of days so I can make arrangements for someone to check on the cats.

    Steph, nice car!!  Congrats!

Speaking of cats, Moose must be part dog.  Last night after work I took him and Missy, the other cat, outside in the backyard.  They have little harnesses and leashes. (yeah, I'm that bored, or nuts).  So we make the loop around the lot and end up over by the spot where Agnes had half buried a pig snout I'd given her.  Moose sniffed it, then picked it up and carried it a short distance, then set it back down and started trying to chew on the edge of it.  Weirdo.

Karen, did you see Saturday's "Marmaduke"?  Marm was sitting in a chair in front of a computer and the husband & wife are peeking around the corner.  Husband says, "why can't he just play with a squeaky toy?".  Priceless.  And totally Bugsy!

Ooo, I love the new car! Best of luck with it!

Steph, since when did you live in PA, and I am assuming on the Eastern side of the state since you were going to go to Six Flags?

I went to work this morning, but I am so tired. I took entirely too much allergy stuff last night, and feel totally wacky now.  I think I still need to sleep it off.

There are like a million Six Flags, aren't there? Maybe not a million, but I remember there being one in NJ, and I think there is one in VA, and Texas...maybe.

When I was just a girl.....many many years ago there was only one Six Flags and it was Six Flags over Texas!!!!  LOL!  Awww such fond memories our 9th grade class trip... haha!  If it hadnt been for the fact that my parents were the chaperones mmmmmm no tellin how much more fun I could have had Devil  Oddly enough Mom and Dad said they saw all the other 30 some odd kids several times during the day but never saw me once, hummmmm, wonder how that happened Wink

Bru I am so glad you are feeling better today!  Jackie how is Belle?

Sweetpea - he already did. Wink You're making him work hard here, and does he even know if you're ready to date yet?  (rhetorical question, none of my business to know the answer.)  Three hours notice sounds good. :)  I especially like that he'd make up the spare bedroom for you.  AWWww!

Patrick is such a beggar, it drives me insane... he begs from the other dogs.  Henry will beat him into submission, but Gracie will take it, then shriek out for him to back off.  He is so persistent.  She has a bone and he will not leave her alone, despite me sending him into other areas to go lay down.  (Not much of a stay command on that old fart.)  If he didn't open doors on his own, I'd stick him in the bedroom.  He's going outside alone if he keeps this up.

Amanda - I have to say, whenever I hear stories of your vet visits like that, it reminds me waaay too much of Animal Cops Houston.  Of all the Animal Cops locations, Houston seems to have the most infuriating people who do the most blatantly revolting things with/to their animals.

Hope Brutus is feeling better today... poor buggaloo.  Sad Fingers crossed for the acupuncture to relieve the pain.

Glad to hear Abbie is doing well.  Hope the vet gives an ok for the suture.

They have been jack hammering something since 8am this morning in my backyard.  (Technically, just over the fence, on the neighbor's side.)  They have bags of concrete stacked up, which tells me they're going to fill in whatever the take out.  Hmmm... I feel nosey.

    Edit to add:

    - and one in Massachusetts.  You can go to the site and they say there are two in TX (a third seems to be a subset of another), two in CA, plus DC, Atlanta, St Louis, Chicago, Louisville, New York.  AND - one in Montreal,  one in Mexico City, and, get this, one in Dubai!  Who knew?!

Steph, I'm jealous. I'm really really really want a Toyota Matrix.

I'm having a day in which nothing seems to be going right. I drive to work today for our meeting. I planned to just work at the office and I brought in my personal laptop (I typically JUST need the internet to do my work). However, I forgot I have to bill out my clients today which requires Excel, which my laptop doesn't have. AND I recalled I had scheduled a 2pm call with a client and my phone is at my home office. So, after the meeting I skedaddled out of there. I come home to my home internet being down. I managed to fix it. How, I have no idea. Then I check my new emails and find my crazy client is back to being irritated. In truth, he's right. However, he doesn't know the internal issues I'm struggling with that are making it near impossible to run his program effectively. I expressed my irritation to my boss, who thankfully fully understands that I'm not just trying to lose a client and that I'm doing all I possibly can.

    Whose got the vodka?

In good news, I'm back in my PJs working from home lol. Ari is being somewhat bratty and I told her to behave or it's the kennel for you!

Hi there everyone! And yes- a mindless Wednesday. Lindsey is acting like she is coming back into heat, and right on schedule.

We have been painting the kitchen to finish this renovation. The whole house smells like fresh paint.. LOL
