Mid-week musings

I hope that Julie, & Abbie are doing ok.

Tina, I have ZERO success with peonies.  ZERO!  Half of them won't come up at all, & the other half wither & die long before blooming.

I am drained.  I feel like a load of things have snowballed me, & I've reached my breaking point.  I am seriously considering taking Bev and the kayak and spenidning the day paddling.  Maybe I can paddle all of my worries away.

Jersey got the 2014 Superbowl !!!!

Menu for Memorial Day weekend:

A mess of grilled garlic chicken wings.

A mess of BBQ'd spareribs.

A mess of grilled sausage, peppers and onions.

A mess of potato salad.

A mess of cucumber salad.

2 tomato pies.

I think that should keep every busy so I can enjoy the beach !!!

The baby birds are alive this morning.  Good idea about the duct tape, Amanda.  I should have thought of that. :)  I'll have to give up my redneck card if that happens again.

My yard seems to contain every type of critter native to NC - I suppose this is a good indication that it is a friendly habitat BUT it does make for interesting gardening.  Like last night when I was pulling a weed up and two snakes came out from under the bush I was pulling the weed from - good think I like snakes

Me too...Abbie and Julie are at the top of my mind this morning.  I went to bed praying for her; and woke up thinking about her.

I woke up not wanting to exercise.  Bleh.  So, I'm calling it a rest day.  Working from home today...yay.  Friday is medical day.  Going for the annual well woman exam, bloodwork and mamogram.  Yay me.  Its going to be a busy one, because once I get back from Houston for all that; I'm driving Mom 1/2 way to Austin.  She is going to go stay with my sisters for 2 weeks.  YAY...some privacy for a couple of weeks.  I just may walk around naked all day Saturday. 

 I am so tired today. I think it is because my sister was talking to me entirely too late. I stay up that late all the time, but I'm usually just sitting around watching tv. I think having to think at that time of night makes me more tired in the morning.

So, I was wondering yesterday, and my dad isn't home to give me the answer and the diplomatic way to ask this question. I was assigned the Tuesday group, and now asked to move to Thursday, which is what I preferred to begin with. However, Tuesday is now the known entity. I know who I will be with. I don't know about Thursday. I would like to ask and see who that will be. The chances are strong that I will not know this person, and I actually have heard bad things about very few people. Maybe I do know the person though, and maybe it's someone I like better. I don't necessarily like the known quantity, but I know what it is, and I am ok with it. If I choose to change, even though I may not be thrilled with the present situation, there is a chance I will like it even less than what I already have. So, what's the diplomatic way to ask who the other person will be, without saying to the person asking me to make the change (who is the person I get if I don't change) that I don't like her?

It has been HOT here the last week or so. It is nice though. On Monday FH and I went to the beach down the road - the water is FREEZING, but it was nice to put our feet in for a bit, until we couldn't feel them anymore. :| I do love Georgian Bay, but it is never really swimable until Julyish - but I like swimming in cold water, I like my swimming to be refreshing, so I start swimming in June usually. LOL.

Timmy starts agility class on Thursday. We are dreading the first lesson. LOL. I think it will be a LOT for him to take in at once, all the other dogs and such. I think that once he gets used to it - he will love it though.

I feel so bad about poor Abbie....I really wonder what is causing it, because that is scarey how quickly that happend!

It's HOT and HUMID here. Ugh. My hair looks like a big frizz poof and I'm sweating doing nothing. Apollo is groggy still and ate a very little breakfast but was very thirsty. He just wants to rest- good thing! I took the day off to spend with him just lounging, dropped Pat & Mo off at my Moms. No exercising today for me today- w/ the weather & Apollo, I just don't think it's going to happen. DH has been working 12 hour days going on a month and a half now Mon-Sat so I haven't seen much of him. We're looking forward to Memorial Day because we both have it off- yay for 2 days (Sun & Mon) in a row w/ DH!

We continue to wait.  DH got an unknown request for info last night.....wierd, but someone who is obviously being ultra careful so we shall see.  At least there are jobs showing up as available recently.  Please continue the good vibes, thot and prayers.  Our lives have to improve soon.

Tired this morning, for no particular reason.  The heat zaps me tho.
