    Thursday m/c

I have officially progressed to men my own age.  Normally I am very popular with the 60 and up crowd.  Last night I was asked out by a guy who was probably about 40.  The downside was that he was developmentally disabled.

    Yeah, I've still got it.

     Awww Tina!!!

My back feels better today, thank goodness. I'm just happy the SO was kind and caring enough to wear Ari out last night, so I could just lay down and keep immobile. The hot bath with Epsom also did wonders! Now if only the bruising would go away...I swear if anyone saw the amount of bruising I have, they would think bad thoughts about my SO, when in truth it's my dog that's abusing me lol!

I have so much work to do today, it's not even funny. But, my dearest friend dropped me an unexpected email and was asking when she could come up for a visit along with a mutual friend of ours! That made me happy, so I'll just keep looking forward to finalizing those plans.

    Go Tina!!!

The word of the day is "hangover."  I need a nap. Sleep

    • Gold Top Dog

There you go Tina!  And hey, those older men CAN be charming.......

This not sleeping at night is really getting old.  I sleep like a rock, or the dead.  The past several days I'm awake several times in the night and not getting any darned rest.  I need a nap, but I'd probably keep waking up from that too......

TIna - that's better than not being asked out.

I am on a hunt this afternoon for a tricycle for Riley for her B-day on Tuesday.  You know, the classic Red Flyer ones.  Well, looked online for a new one and they upwards of $70!!!!  WTH!!!  So I am off to check out a few tonight that I found on Craig's List.  The pics look pretty good.  I would be willing to spend more if I knew if she would like it.  But alas we shall see.

DH's parents made another excuse why they couldn't make it to the party.  Although they will be down state that day, they have too many appts. already and need to back up north.  Speechless is what I am when it comes to them.  On the other hand, my brother and wife will be flying in from AZ (not just for the party, but they coordinated so they could make it).  Amazing how different our two families are.

Riley's progression on the potty appears to be more sporatic...me thinks we will have to resort to potty training boot camp this summer.  4 days of fun!!  LOL

She is doing a solid "OK" in swimming.  She still cries/whines through class but from what the teacher tells me as soon as she gets her turn she is all smiles and happy.  They definitely want to keep her in the class so I am good with that.

My parents bought a brand new loaded Mustang Convertible (I completely gave them poop for not buying a GM!!).  It was my Dad's Mother's Day gift to my Mom.  She is sooo excited.  She didn't learn to drive until she met my Dad and then she always drove the hand-me down cars (usually with 100K+) miles on them until I was in college.  She had the top down with the car seat in the back with Riley...hot Nana is her new nickname.

    Have a good day everyone.

OMG I am sobbing - I decided to go on Craigslist to look for raw food for Bugsy (lots of people do this but I am not sure where it is listed) I wound up in the pet section.  Good gracious how can so many people be giving up their dogs???  Oh and of course there are all the listings that people put up saying these three dogs will be put down tonight at so and so shelter if unadopted, one was three owner turn-ins, I am just completely distraught.  What is wrong with humanity????????

    OK - gathering myself

Tina that is a little funny, sorry LOL Any updates on Agnes?

Lisa how did Riley do at the eye doctor? I hope you find a nice tricycle!

I am meeting a friend for lunch today at my favorite pizza place - this makes me happy

OK I really need to put myself together

    Cackles...Tina you are TOO MUCH!

I have a wild hair this morning...much too frisky. I was singing to my game hens earlier and dancing them around like Peter Gabriels "SledgeHammer" video. I think I need to settle down...LOL.

Picking up the kids early today to head over to Eli's eye appt. Here's to hoping we can gain some new insight. I think the kid needs bifocals LOL.

Don't worry, I'm chuckling.  When I was in high school, there was a man in town w/ Down's who had a crush on me (small community, his parents knew my mom).

Agnes, her breathing is no better.  She seems glad to eat and go for a little walk, then is completely exhausted.  She seems to be losing weight, too.  I told her the other night she doesn't have to hang on for me, that I'll be okay, and that she will always be with me.  So, one day at a time.

That is FH's word of the day as well. He had a friend over last night and they decided to play the James Ready board game (JR beer, the caps have board game ridiculous sayings and you either move forward a few, or back, etc and each case comes with a game board). I went to bed around 10:30, but they stayed up, I woke up at 2:00am to the sound of water running, and I freaked out, looking for the dog, thinking he was peeing on the rug, nope, turns out FH was PEEING in our laundry basket. So, I yelled at him and made him clean it out and go and start the laundry before I would let him back in bed, he was so confused. It was a combination of him being drunk and asleep while he was doing it. This morning, I find the whole thing pretty funny. He took the morning off work.

Tina, I am giggling at you. I mean....with you.

I am still half dreading FH's family reunion this weekend and half looking forward to it. I am REALLY excited to see the "fun" neice and nephews. I have 500 water balloons in preparation of seeing them. Muwhahahahahahaha. 'Cept there is a chance of SNOW. Yuck. Glad we are not camping over like everyone else, we get to go home to a warm bed.

Oh, this really got to me.  You're the best, Tina.  It will be a sad, sad day when Agnes goes to the Bridge but she found the best dog mom on the planet for a while.  Keep on trucking little brown dog but don't worry about your mom.

Karen, I just can't and don't look at craigslist's pet section.  I either get so furious, I start shooting off emails or I dissolve into tears.

Jackie I don't think I will ever go back to the pet section - that wasn't a good thing for my soul

OMG - that is too funny and you can get a LOT of mileage out of that for years to come Big Smile

Tina - I kind of feel about Buffy the same way you do about Agnes. I just see signs of her aging every day and know that one day she won't be here but she's had a very good long life. Agnes may not have had as much time with you, but what time she's had has been very special for both of you.

Don't you find it especially hard to understand why anyone who rescues a dog would then allow it to have an accidental pregnancy? I just find that mind boggling but I've seen it a couple times on the ustream videos. "Watch our rescue chi give birth to chi/pug puppies" Super Angry

Appt. went OK.  They weren't able to give her one of the tests since by that point she refused to open her eyes, but they did the important stuff.  Thanks for asking!

I don't understand it, because it's not an accident. They did it on purpose, period. They probably "rescued" their Chi from the PET STORE, too. Wink
