Mid-Week Chatter

    Mid-Week Chatter

Ari tripped me going down a hill yesterday and I landed flat on my back. She then pounced on my stomach. Today I have two distinct paw mark bruises on my tummy, a bruise on my butt and a sore back. At least my back isn't that bad. I was worried about that more than anything else.

OWIE!  Ari, don't you know you're not supposed to hurt your mom like that?  Glad you're okay, Sharon.

Continued prayers for Dawn and Talus and their respective families.

Ernie Harwell, great announcer for the Detroit Tigers, passed away yesterday.  When I was a kid, my dad used to listen to the game on the radio and I remember Ernie's announcing very well.

    Deb, what time is dinner?

ETA: from yesterday, Erica, it's okay to give the ex back the stuff.  I am a throw-out person.  If the items were not specifically his, they either go in the trash or got donated.  Gotta wipe that slate clean.

Ouch Sharon!  But isn't it just so much fun to have bruises from your dogs?  I constantly have bruises that aren't explainable!

Continued prayers for Dawn and Taulus.

Sad that the voice of the Detroit Tigers is no more.  I used to listen to him myself.  And it's a darned shame that his bid to save some of Tiger stadium didn't work.  That would have been an outstanding tribute to the man.

I'm making some headway on the puppy shopping.  I'm corresponding with an excellent breeder in Belgium.  Normally I wouldn't consider it but he is well known and honest, you don't need a broker to handle payment and shipping like most European imports.  Also his price including shipping is the same or lower than many breeders in the US.

    Good morning, everbuddy!

Sharon - ow!  Can you soak tonight in a tub of Epson Salts?  You gotta be stiff. ow

Am still thinking of Dawn ... and now Talus again as well.  Good thots and prayers for all.

Erica, I'm with Tina -- I'm a throw out person in that case myself.  Man when my ex left I "gifted" him with all the sheets blankets and the BED.  If it had a memory tied to it and he didn't want to take it with it got TRASHED (and frankly that part at *that* time was fun!!) -- it was where I worked up a little righteous anger finally.

Have a good day everbuddy -- it's gonna be another one of those days when I can't stop (once the boss gets here it's cra-zy)

Ouch...your story reminded me of Daffy Duck, you know where he says "I bruise like a grape!" lol. We use that all the time here at the house when Eli is being too rough...hope you get to feeling less sore!

I emailed the cat Rescue to let them know it's time for the kittens to move along. Neuter/spay and vaccinations need doing and Flopsy is DONE with them...she hides from them at this point but they always find her and make her nurse...poor dear. They need to go on to their new lives. Flopsy will be going in to be spayed and such soon too, then we'll foster her til she's adopted out. Looking forward to less litterbox duty!

I need to clean Cleo's ears today as she's scritching at the one...probably gunky and needing some blue stuff.

Other than that I need to clean the kitchen and living room at LEAST...today. Hopefully I can motivate myself enough to get that done LOL.

dh has had a rough couple of days at work...co worker gave notice and that might lead to more work for him...his 1yr is coming up and he's not thinking a raise is forthcoming because the Bank isn't doing well right now. They won't be replacing the dude leaving for the same reason....and his friend/co worker might lose her job. She made some error that cost the Bank about $60K...and her main job was servicing the guy who's leaving so..yeah...her days have probably been worse than his! LOL. That's helped us keep things in perspective.

Oh....ETA: HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO!! Immigration laws aside...I bet plenty of Americans will use today to justify getting drunk off their kiesters...funny how that whole acceptance thing works eh? LMBO! CERVEZA!! VIVA LA RAZA! Beer

I need to plan my day and get on the road soon.

     Just lounging around.

Since we're into the, is it ok to do this stuff, is it ok to invite someone who is not invited to the wedding to the bridal shower?

Also, do you think it's ok if I call or text my mentor on Friday before I go in to my exam? She's sorta part of my superstitious pre-exam ritual now, but I feel like that might be annoying. I mean, I know full well the series of things I will go through on Friday are completely superstitious and have nothing to do with the exam (sleep in the commuter lounge, call and/or text a few people, pace the hallway, and eat hopefully eat Swedish fish. If they have them in the machine. I have no clue where I picked up all these superstitious behaviors, but now I feel compelled to do them. Also, I am surprised that sorta is not a misspelling.

I got bit in the boob, courtesy of Cher.  We were playing tug this morning, & on an attempt to grab the toy, she missed & grabbed a mouthful of boob instead.  Luckily, she did realize that it wasn't her toy, & she let it go immediately.  That doesn't make my boob feel any better though...

I have a ton of stuff to do today, & short of taking Cher to the vet, I doubt that I'll do any of it.  I'm ok with that.

If it is a destination wedding then it'd be ok. Any other type of wedding, I'd say no.

If it is a destination wedding or a family only wedding, then yeah, it's ok.  If not, no, it's just rude.

Careful there Amanda!  I always wear a fully padded pushup bra when training or playing with Nikon.  Tucking a ball under the chin or armpit is just asking for a mastectomy but thankfully my bra has saved me every time.

If you pick out a locking thermostat cover from a picture I send you and ask me to special order 15 of them, please don't tell me they are too industrial looking and can you get something else after we've installed them.  Sheesh.  It's a commercial building, people; you don't need a color coordinated thermostat cover.

Busy as heck and not motivated to do a darn thing.  Yesterday we had a meeting with some guys from the city.  What a time waster that was.  Nothing that couldn't have been handled with a quick phone call but we wasted over an hour.  To some people, it doesn't count unless you have a meeting.

Amanda, any luck with the Corky video?

Ditto on the bridal shower invite without an invitation to the wedding. Not cool. That's like saying "we don't want you at the wedding but we do want a gift".

We are working on a new jigsaw puzzle.  The excitement at our house is just over the top. lol   Amanda would die of boredom.

Deb, did you OD on guac last night?  Stick out tongue

LOL Jackie, for some reason I started reading your post still with dogs and boobs on my mind and thought, "a thermostat cover....that could work...."
