Stacy...I'M giggling about it now!  And still have the giggles about poor Tyler, who was NOT thrilled about being dragged into the shower with me!

I've got the coolest thing going on in my hanging asparagus fern.  A bird couple built a nest IN the plant.  Not a "normal" nest, but a little cave type nest.  I *think* they are sparrows.  But, I'm having a great time watching them flit back and forth with little bugs and worms.  They used dog hair that I left for them, and even a bit of DH's after I cut his hair on the front porch.  I took some pics.  If anyone wants to see them I'll see if I can pester Jackie into posting them for me.

it was great to see him too. I just love when you run into people you haven't seen in a while!

One of those things that happens when you get out of the rut of being with someone and doing the same things all the time. LOL

Brought Henry to PetSmart - he's so much better behaved as an only dog.  Nobody to guard/bully.  Since Gracie got left behind to keep Patrick company, I decided to take her to the park when we got home.  She was very happy to meet a 5 month old yellow Lab named Floyd.  They were very sweet together.  I think she's tuckered, now, tho.

Off to the grocery store.  Going cold turkey on no-soda has been kind of a pain.  I like soda - but diet soda is essentially a can of chemicals, and regular is all that, plus a bunch of sugar.  So, iced tea it is.

You jigsaw puzzle fans, have you ever seen the Daily Jigsaw on shockwave.com?  A different one every day.  They're a pretty fun alternative to the real thing. Smile

I do!  I used to do those on a website for pictures, I forget what it's called.  But then I switched jobs and didn't have a computer with the right program (flash, probably), and got out of the habit.  Thanks for the reminder.

I rented the Blind Side. Fantastic movie - highly recommend anyone watch it! I've watched it twice (well... I started last night, fell asleep, watched more when I woke up, since it just kept replaying. And watched the whole thing through just now.)

I'm in love with the song Bulletproof. IN LOVE. It's on constant repeat in my car (well, in rotation with Breathe, by Ryan Star)

I barely survived the commencements. Holy cow. I actually got kind of offended at one point. They didn't have ANY student speakers or any speakers at all to give the new graduates a pep talk. Instead a nun gave a short speech and then some guy from china who gave his speech in CHINESE!!! Nobody could understand him. His speech was 15 mins long too. He probably was up there saying "thank you for letting us take over your country. Too bad you just spent $50k on your education. you won't be able to find a job. In 10 years you will all die of cancer from the lead and arsenic in all the things you buy from us.  Amen"

If I would have graduated in that class I would have felt ripped off!

We had student speakers at my graduation, but they were totally dumb. The undergrad speaker was a devout Muslim, so she talked about that. It pissed me off that they picked her to do it, because she was a piss poor student too. I graduated from Temple, and we didn't have Bill Cosby speak. Not that I would have wanted to hear that idiot.

I have no idea what the deal is at Simmons. I want to go look at someone's pictures though and see what the hoods looked like. At Temple, we had science yellow, instead of education blue, which was disappointing to say the least.

I have no idea what I actually came in here to post about now. That's just great.

    LMAO!!!!!

Glenda, I am trying to get the Corky videos working.  I am having issues, but I am still working on it.

I have felt like crap all day, so I spent most of my day napping.  DH took the boys to watch the Horns play Baylor.  They had a great time, & I had an almost quiet day of napping.

Be CREATIVE!!  Don't be "typical American" *grin*

Yes, I love iced tea (and please heaven DON'T put sugar in it yuck!!!!)

However -- try chamomile tea iced .... try peppermint tea iced (you can sweeten if you wanna but I never do).

Try (and this is my favorite herbal drink of ALL time) -- spearmint tea -- but brew it with just a piece or two of licorice root in it.  that sweetens it just a bit but man I love it.  And drink it hot or cold.

BEST THO is either San Pelligrino or Perrier -- and I like to add my own lime (better than lemon for me).

I virtually never drink pop/soda or whatever you wanna call it.  And the less you drink of it the more you'll like other things.  When I go to a restaurant I nearly always have sparkling water (and yes, I'm weird -- I order a glass of ice so it's COLD) and I get lime slices to add.  Most of the time David and I will split a big bottle.  Not as expensive as beer or wine, but 'special' and it makes food taste better to me.  Not boring in any event.

There are zillions of herb teas out there now sold right in the grocery store.  If you want it sweet -- try just a bit of honey (less than you'd think) and then try it cold.  I like the ones with lots of lemon flavor like Red Zinger, or the mint ones.

ONe of my favorites is Constant Comment tea iced.  Now that's black tea (caffeine) but you can get it decaf if you want.  But I love it both hot and cold (and no I don't sweeten that either but that's me)

Yes, I drink green tea (and I do it iced) and white tea too.

If you want to make yourself feel special check out Stash Tea's website.  -- if stuff is interesting it's easier to get excited about drinking it.

    Sorry -- pet topic. LOL

I remember what I was going to mention earlier. I feel like *** for brains some days. Actually, very many days I feel like *** for brains. I need to write my mentoring evaluation. If I had hated it, I would know what to write. In this case, I loved it, so I feel like what would best sum this up would be to get out my crayons and draw a big picture of a heart. I mean, it's supposedly anonymous, but I am pretty darn sure one of the people who reads it is going to know this was me. She can narrow it down to three people most likely, because I did choose to write the name of my mentor in, and I had to say what semester of mentoring it was. So, since she had three of us in that were doing semester 3, they'll know it was one of us three. Also, if I turn mine in at a certain, I think they can figure out who it was, unless they were to mix them all up in a box or something. She's still going to know it was me, not that I care. I just need to figure out what to write on this thing though.

The person sleeping on my basement floor last night was actually my sister. It was too hot upstairs, so she has now moved into the basement until it gets cooler.

    LOL!

Callie, I drink spearmint tea cold too! Num yummy.

Lately, I can't get enough Greek yogurt and honey. I just recently discovered it. I know, get with the times, eh? I don't know why I never tried it before. I guess I didn't really know what it was. But I found a coupon and gave it a shot. Lots of protein and no fat!

The kids and I both have a cold. Sore throat, congestion. Bleh. We've also been sneezing, so maybe it's allergies? Either way, there are way too many boogies in our house right now. Stick out tongue

I was just made aware of a big recall on kids/infant medicines like Motrin, Benedryl, etc.  It's not all the kinds of everything.  But, here's the FDA note and if you click on that link you will see the whole list.  http://www.fda.gov/NewsEvents/Newsroom/PressAnnouncements/ucm210441.htm

Thanks, Lori. I buy the generic Walgreens kind. Because I'm cheap like that. Geeked

LOL,  it's probably the same stuff!  My friend actually said that Sam's club called her to notify her.  I don't have kids but she wasn't sure what I gave Willow, LOL!

I just can't do Greek yogurt...I tried and I made it a whopping spoonful and a half
