I tried that last night, Cathy, and it HURT!

I've taken some sudafed and ibuprofen... it's better, but still 'foggy' feeling, but not as much pressure. I hope its not a sinus infection... I think that's what it's starting to feel like :(

Hope you feel better soon! Cuddling with your dog is always a good way to feel better. :P

Took Simba to obedience class today and it was fun, minus him whining when the attention wasn't on him. *Facepalm* He's too smart for his own good, he knew a new command after two tries, didn't have to bribe him with treats. :)  It's warm and muggy and cloudy here, yucky.

Thanks, me too! I'm opting for some more sangria on the beach tonight. That always helps Smile

My liver is not going to like me single... haha!

Wow!  1PM and I'm still clean and so is the house.  No more "explosions" from Thor, thankfully!

Had to go for dog food today, so hit the $ Tree while we were down there and got Corky a few more duck mats.  This is the ONLY $ Tree where I can ever find them, and I've looked in a ton of them. They are a 15x20" "bath" mat, but not of any fabric I've ever seen used for bathmats......most of hers are getting pretty worn and this poor little gal needs all the traction she can get with her handicaps.  The crate gets lined with paper and then the paper, which is slippery, covered with duck mats.  And then the whole mess gets cleaned out daily and we start again.........

Thankfully it is REALLY windy here today so the humidy and heat don't feel any where near as bad.  I think I'd really enjoy someplace like Coastal Carolina (where there does happen to be a job open) since we'd avoid the extremes of Southern summers.

Hopefully Amanda will have a chance to post those Corky vids soon.......I wanna show off my duck!

Tina, I'm glad your trip went well and you didn't have to deal with crappy weather.  Glenda, you need to go back to bed and then start this whole day over.

It's windy again today, but definitely getting warmer ... but no *muggy* stuff.  We CA kids don't do *muggy.* Big Smile

My neighbor's *Run for the Roses/May Day* party was a lot of fun.  She had it set up so everyone got a paper with the names of all the horses on it and about 10 questions to answer.  It was *pick your horse to win and answer the questions* for $5.00.  First prize winner got half the pot, second place winner got 1/4, third place got a nice picnic basket and 1/4 of the pot stayed with the house to be donated to the Yolo County food pantry. And ... I found out what a Scarlet O'Hara is ... cranberry juice with Southern Comfort. Yum.

Corky videos! Omg I can't wait!

I'm at my sisters graduation ceremony. I didn't know she was graduating from a catholic university. Wow. take normal commencement stuff and add in a catholic service. No offense to any practicing catholics, but man. Just shoot me now.

Tell me about it!  No offense taken here. Big Smile When I was in high school (Catholic) the Bishop used to come once a month for a traditional high mass.  I thought they'd never end and to this day I can't stand  the smell of incense.

now that really did make me LOL!

Just got back from Target and found a bunch of comforters reduced 75% - I bought a twin for $15 that is for Bugsy.  Cheaper than dog beds or blankets and he loves them. Been looking for new blankets as his are really worn now

The VERY first time I went to Church with DH and his parents was the midnight mass on Christmas Eve.  It was a high mass.  That's pretty intimidating for someone who grew up in the Methodist Church and had already heard that the LAST wife fell asleep at midnight mass!  Yikes!  Between that and FIL's funeral, yeah, agreed, I've had enough incense to last me a lifetime!

    • Gold Top Dog

Me too, Glenda!  I got A's in HS Latin, but that did not help one bit!  It's a logical reason to fall asleep!  I did think it was kinda pretty to listen to, but completely unmeaningful when you can't understand a thing!

    • Gold Top Dog

Thank you, Karen! I'm going to Target!

    • Gold Top Dog

Well, yeah, no kidding!  And of course you don't get a "program" so you know what the heck is coming next....or rather, it is written in such a way that CATHOLIC people understand it, but not the rest of us poor scheps!  Oddly tho, when DH indicated that he and I should not take communion, FIL insisted that yes we should.  Me, the non-Catholic and DH, the "sinner" for having his wife take his child and move in with another man and then divorce him.  And FIL was really, really Catholic.  To the max.

I've got the giggles now about poor Tyler laying there minding his own business and getting hit with a liquid poop bomb!  Gosh, some of those would be handy on trips when people tick me off!  Devil

I want breakfast food, even though it is lunch time..so I'm heading off to one of the places where I can get tasty breakfast foods.

Newt is being adorable and spry today. She's had about 5 sessions of zoomies

Well, the boys had a great time at the river (as usual!), and now they're both crashed out on the couch.

After the river, BF and I went out for Mexican food and I ate a burrito, which is undoubtedly NOT on my diet, lol.

You jigsaw puzzle fans, have you ever seen the Daily Jigsaw on shockwave.com?  A different one every day.  They're a pretty fun alternative to the real thing. Smile

Oh Glenda - that is just plain gross!  I am sort of giggling though, since it didn't happen to me Stick out tongue

We got a lot accomplished here yesterday.  The lawn is all cut, the dog run is cut, the trimmer is fixed and the edges of the gardens are all trimmed, the flowerbeds are all weeded except for two, which barely need weeding, the deck is pressure washed and FH made a ski rack for the wall downstairs to display all of our skis on while we are not using them for the summer.  Oh and the shed is cleaned and organized!

We went grocery shopping this afternoon which we never do on weekends, but I do feel rather relaxed knowing that I have all my groceries for the week and don't have to worry about them.  We also just finished watching Avatar, we downloaded it last night and it was great!  I quite liked it Big Smile

I should probably go and fold and do another load of laundry.
