    Chat - Sunday version

Made it to and from the memorial for Grandpa Green with little problems.  The rain was ahead of me as I drove down, it didn't rain when we were at the cemetary, and the trip home was good.  Got to see a lot of "family", so that was great.

Agnes did fine at home, pet sitter reported no problems.

Friday night around 8:00p the mgr from the track called to see if I could work for Derby day.  Nothing like waiting til the last minute because you know I can just drop anything for ya'.  I obviously said no, going out of town.  Try to give me a few more days notice next time, m'kay?

Raining this morning, so am working on laundry.

I'm sitting in the kitchen of our new house eating breakfast before heading out to our AACR screening.  I'm so not a morning person, that is all. Wink zzzzzzzzzzzzz....

Glad that your trip went well Tina.

I had such a pleasant start to my morning.  Thor was laying beside me in bed.  Suddenly excited and Tyler jumped up.  A little odd, since Tyler doesn't usually get in bed with me.  And then the smell hit me.  Hopped out of bed and found myself standing in a puddle of hot liquid poop.  Tylers bed was covered with hot liquid poop, and oh, Tyler was too, which meant so was MY bed.....Apparently poor Thor got hit with the screaming demand to go and Tyler got in the way.  Now that is truly a crappy way to start the day!  Especially at 5:30!

I'm glad you had a good trip, Tina.  I'm happy that Agnes was ok while you were gone.  What is 'ttfn'?  Did you sneeze? :)

I did some dreaded clothes shopping yesterday.  I am not a good clothes shopper and had to force my self to try things on instead of my usual "that looks like it'll fit" method.  Found some good bargains at Kohl's and also found a really pretty shirt at Coldwater Creek.  I don't ususally buy anything in there but I had a gift cert which eased the pain. lol  All in all, I had a successful shopping expedition and got home in time for a short nap before the Derby.

Today, it's the grocery store and house cleaning.   I've about got the laundry done.  I ordered more jigsaw puzzles from Amazon and they came yesterday. :)   I had also ordered a book called 'Overboard', a True Blue Water Odyssey of Disaster and Survival, according to the cover.  I love that kind of stuff.

The weather is nice here but gradually heating up toward our normal hot and muggy summer weather.  Have a good day everyone.

    Congrats to Finn and Cher!

DH and I had a fun night out last night.  The weather broke long enough for the afternoon Tigers game.  After that we went to the Casino (won $50) and then out to our favorite Mexican restaurant.  My sister doggy sat (since we were gone for almost 10 hours) and Riley spent the night with my parents.  It's raining this morning but I hope it stops so I can get some work done on the landscaping!

    Have a good day everyone!

My sister's boyfriend is asleep on our basement floor. I should note that this is an un-carpeted concrete floor. The idiot chose to sleep across the path I need to get through in order to get out. It would have been nice of him to sleep not across my path out of the basement. I guess it would have been nice if the futon cover hadn't been barfed on by Luke the other day. Still, we have a couch up on the main floor he's slept on before, so I have no idea why he didn't sleep there.

Not looking forward to working today. Client's mom discussed taking him down to a place he really doesn't belong at. I guess it's sorta like Chuck E Cheese the place. It has a climbing thing like the McDonald's Play Place, a Bounce House (that is labeled for toddler's) some little bumper cars (tiny, only 4 cars on it), laser tag (that might be appropriate, but he won't wear the thing to play it or get the idea of the game). The rest is arcade games, which he doesn't understand how to play. He's 12, so the things he likes, they're not appropriate for a 12 year old, and the rest of it, he either doesn't use appropriately, or doesn't use at all. But then again, this is a parent we had to explain to that no, buying him an Elmo at 10 years old, even if he likes it, isn't cute. We're still working on the fact that public displays of affection (hugging, kissing) aren't appropriate with your 12 year old. If you're typical child would be mortified by you doing it, you shouldn't stigmatize your disabled child with your behavior.

Ok, squeaky clean bed, squeaky clean floors, and squeaky clean me!  Had to totally strip our bed and the comforter is still in the dryer, but clean sheet are back on, all the floors are scrubbed to within an inch of their lives, doggie bed cleaned and I got a shower and then cleaned the tub.  Blech!

Of course DH's reaction to a 5:30 wakeup call with me standing in a puddle of poop is "well, WHY are you standing in it??"  Ummmmm, because I don't want to move and track it further??  Maybe grab me some rags or paper towels??  And watch where you step on your way out??  It's mildly amusing now......will be downright funny at some point!  BUT, one heck of a way to get him out of bed earlier!  LOL!

And some little kitty decided to do a random upchuck on my bed in the RV, so that needs changing now too.  If I didn't know better I'd think there was a conspiracy of some sort!  At least my duck isn't adding to the mess!

Thank goodness this isn't a Monday!!  Monday always gets a bad rap, and if this had happened on a moanday, well........

I had a great night out with my best friend, and some of her friends. And then an old friend stopped in for a while - it was great to see him too. I just love when you run into people you haven't seen in a while! I'm very, very surprised that I am up this early though.... Huh?

We were thinking of spending some time on the beach today, hopefully it's not too hot!

Any ideas on how to get my ears to 'pop'?  They

ve been pressurized since yesterday, my allergies were out of control!

I would like to go back to sleep. But I have to leave soon for my sisters graduation. Oh well, it should be nice anyway. Tomorrow starts another round of work traveling. I hope my contact lenses get here before I leave! Must have sunglasses for long days on the road!

    I survived Derby.

My list for this dreary soaking wet day is read and sleep. Ok, so I will make something for dinner and do a load of wash, but if you need me I will stretched out on the bed with my nose in a book or snoozing.

Jackie, have you ever ordered puzzles from Bits and Pieces? I love putting jigsaws together as well.

    Have a good day everyone.

Looks like a hot, muggy day today here.  We're supposed to get some storms overnight tonight, and it's already really muggy.  Going to take the dogs to the river this afternoon, so that'll be fun.

    Hope everyone enjoys their Sunday!

Jackie, have you ever ordered puzzles from Bits and Pieces?

No, but I'm going to check them out. :)   Have a nice lazy day, Dawn.  I hope someday the rain stops in your neck of the woods.

whew hot and muggy here too! Bleck!

I just finished 2.5 hours of scrubbing down the kitchen and wood floors. Then DH announces he is going to trim the shrubs - once again on the hottest day of the year in the middle of the day and after I cleaned.  So I left him a change of clothes in the garage - hopefully he'll get the hint or he'll be redoing the floors this afternoon. Angry

No tennis today due to my hamstring issue, bah humbug.

Bugsy is desperate for a walk but will have to wait until this evening when it cools off.

No great plans for the day.  I need to find a Mother's day gift and a birthday gift for my niece

    Have a good one

I really lovw jigsaw puzzles too. I'm going to have to find a place I can work on them.

It's sunny but cool and super windy again. I don't usually have problems with allergies unless it's windy like this. Claritin helps though, so I'm grateful for that.

Erica - for clearing the ears, you can try plugging your nose and tighten your lips and gently blow. It usually works for me.

We've went to the gym early, stopped and got groceries on the way home and now DH has gone for a run. I'll make a big breakfast in a little while to counteract the workout at the gym ;)

Oh Glenda -- that is a TOUGH way to get your bed clean all the way thru.  yuck.  And that *feeling* knowing you can't step ANYWHERE??  *sigh*

Hope all the dogs (and the cat) feel better and you get to stay clean for the day??

We had dog training at 9  -- and since we're way over 90 already (and humid as heck right now) NEXT week it's gonna be at 8 a.m. (and it's 45 minutes to get there -- oh joy!!)

Neither of us are morning people -- but we like the results we're getting with Luna and Tink both so it's worth it.

THEN I came home and defrosted the fridge, cleaned it and did some laundry (I have a ton of hand laundry right now to deal with the psoriasis -- things that just can't be washer washed).  So by 1:00 I've accomplished a ton LOL

Good thots for all those travelling and attending "dos" of various kinds.  HOpefully the rest of today is gonna be restful.
