Bwahaha, exactly what I was thinking. "Look out belooooooow!"

Dawn, hope things go well for your test!

    Deb, that sounds delicious!!!

Karen - HOW DO YOU WATCH HULU ON THE PS3 OMG!!!! I do Netflix on the PS3, but Hulu? I too do not "watch TV" (we don't have any TV service), but I watch tons of TV shows on Netflix and Hulu.... :)

BF's mom is setting up an Easter egg hunt for us "kids" (ages 28, 29, 25, 24, and 22, lol) in their house. So cute! She does it every single year.... I think mostly to tempt us, to make sure we go home to visit. ;)

We're having about 6 people over for dinner tonight to play Arkham Horror. Eeeek, gotta clean!

I read that some church near us is going to be dropping Easter goodies from a helicopter tomorrow. Surprise I may have to go check that out. lol

Jackie, wear a helmet, just in case.  Stick out tongue

    LOL!

My hummingbird cake is cooling and it smells....soooo.....good.....

Three Girls, can we have more Jackson pics?  He's a seriously cute puppy, and I'm so picture deprived.

It sounds like everyone has some fun stuff planned!  We get today off from work, and yesterday they did a little easter egg hunt at work.  I found an egg!  Got a free casual day (to wear casual clothes) at the office.

Around time to leave yesterday, I got my biggest suprise of the day though.  I figured out that I was wearing my butt-ripped-out jeans to work.  OMG!  No one said a word, even managers.  In fact, someone told me that I looked good today O_o.  I think b/c my underwear kinda matched my shirt, they thought it was deliberate??  I was so embarrassed.

Today, I need to mow the lawn, and get some things planted.  And let the dogs go hog-wild in the pretty weather!  lol

My gosh, all the talk about yummy food and now I'm starving. Oatmeal and yogurt probably isn't going to satisfy me now either.

It's brrrrrrrrr cold this morning. Supposed to rain today and Sunday too. We're going to SIL's for Easter dinner and they live up the hill a ways. They've been known to get snow, so I'm really hoping Sunday isn't one of those times.

I don't want to work today but have a lot to do, so hopefully it'll go by quickly. I was going to take Monday off but my boss set up some meetings for that day and now I can't. Oh well, maybe the following Monday.

    Here you go link

I think DH paid $40 for it and then a couple of days later it was on special for $15 LOL that is his luck.  But he loves it and never stops Hulu'ing

I have such strange allergies - I get a horrible rash from some strawberry preserves and yup you guessed it the Organic Kirkland one has my skin so irritated.  Sure wish i hadn't just had some on a PB & J but I needed to see if it was the culprit.  yup it is scratch scratch

Hope everyone's doing well!!! I'm doing a horrible job of keeping up with things..

    Me too!  On both accounts.

I won't be seeing DD and GDDs this Easter weekend.  But I did send the Easter baskets this week and they arrived Wednesday.  I always make my 32 year old DD a basket too.  Why, you may ask?

    Because guilt riddles me yearly.

When she was 16 years old, I figured she was too old for Easter baskets, so I didn't make her one.  O.M.G.  I never heard the end of it.  LOL

So, from age 17 until she turns 60 (doG willing); she will get an Easter basket from me.

Actually, adult baskets are much more fun to make.

DH took the day off today...he gets a 3 day weekend...which he NEVER does.  He needs to take more "me" time.  I may be able to swing a half day today...we'll see.

I, too, am th inking about you Glenda.

OMG i remember the first year I didn't get one, I think i was 17, I was soooo sad!! maybe I'll make my BF one. I think he'd like that. lol.

wow, day 5 of p90x for meeee!! yayeeee! have a nice little routine now - my BF & I take turns making breakfast in the morning now. Kinda nice!!

Proud of my BF today, we did abs after the first workout - there was one that he could not do the first two times we did that DVD, this time he could actually manage to get a couple in!! So he's noticing improvement already.

Wore my puppy out last night! OMG, she was actually snoring. I made a homemade puzzle toy with a muffin pan & tennis balls, Zoey loved it. Bella & Amber couldn't figure out to pick the balls up so they just nudged them until they got the food.I have a vid I'll post in the pic section. Then we played keep away with all the tennis balls LOL, Zoey loved it and she was getting very fast!! and caught alot of them mid-air. it was fun.

Lately Amber has been egg hunting, the chickens sometimes choose to lay their eggs somewhere else besides the coop. so Amber has been finding them & having a little 'snack' LOL

Heather what is a hummingbird cake????  You guys are making me hungry!

Havent heard from Hubby yet but we were hoping he and SD would be able to come back to Arkansas today.

I got the first mowing in these last few days, I got 3 acres mowed but left a small area last night...was too dark to mow anymore.  Rain is coming in and my body is already feeling it....lol.  First time around takes a lot longer cause you have to get off the mower and pick up all the limbs that have fallen over the winter.  That ok though it was just so nice to be outside for a change.

I cant remember anything about what was said here cept' for the food part, Embarrassed

So I hope everyone has a good weekend! Happy Easter from Arkansas

Ummmm Deb, do you have any leftovers you can send to Arkansas, lol!

Driving right now but I just have to make this announcement.......We have BLUEBONNETS!!!!!!!!
    • Gold Top Dog

Deb, I wish I was coming to the shore for the weekend with your family.  The food sounds great and I could give Jamison some serious smooches. lol

Amber, that's so funny about your jeans but only because it didn't happen to me. lol   We have no plans for Easter other than donning our helmets and watching the little kids get splattered with goodies. :(

Ginger, hope hubs gets home safe and sound.

Heather, don't forget to save me some of that cake.  Good for your bf to make his own chore list.  Did he actually do any of them or was he exhausted from making the list. lol

I don't remember when we were considered too old to get Easter baskets.  I'm so old I forgot. lol  Courtney, I would pay money to see all you kids running around looking for Easter eggs.  That's so sweet that she does that. :)  Do you get into fights when two find the same egg at the same time.  We did when we were kids.

Does anyone ever buy those beautiful sugar eggs anymore?  The ones that are half hollow and all glittery sugar?  I'm probably the only one who knows what I'm talking about.

Karen, sorry you are itchy, itchy, itchy.  I love all things strawberry so I couldn't stand it if I were allergic to them.

I'm still at work but once the mail shows up, I am out of here.  Charles said they worked him hard again today in PT for an hour and a half.  I would have been begging for mercy after twenty minutes.  I so need to get back into my exercise routine.  I keep saying it but that's not getting it done.

    .......We have BLUEBONNETS!!!!!!!!

They've been blooming around here for the past two weeks. Funny how that 60 miles makes such a difference.  All the wildflowers are outstanding this year.  The best I've seen in years.

That's the funniest part - BF's mom charts out how many there are of each whatever, and how many each person gets. So everybody gets 2 blue eggs, 3 red ones, 4 yellow ones, and an Easter bunny, or something. No fights, but lots of bartering. Have I mentioned I love BF's family? They crack me up!

Amber, you poor thing! That happened to me once in high school, but fortunately someone let me know and one of my friends drove me home at lunch so I could change. It's the stuff of nightmares! That and unexpected exams...

Glenda, hope you get a little bit of Easter cheer this weekend, in whatever form that may take.

Jackie, maybe you and Charles should do exercises together? He will be an excuse not to slack!

I made ginger-shrimp rice balls for lunch today and they were sooooo good. Pretty easy, too. If anyone wants to know how to make Japanese onigiri (rice balls, usually with some sort of stuffing), hit me up! I'm so glad I taught myself how - they're my new favorite snack.

Cleaning, cleaning, cleaning. Oh, company... you give me such a good reason to clean, but make me so neurotic about it... just spent 30 minutes scrubbing the bathroom, so I sure hope our guests have to pee tonight! Don't want my work to go unrecognized!! Stick out tongue

Oh wow, I did it wrong all these years!! I separated the eggs evenly and gave each child a different floor of the house to search. No fighting, everything was even...

Hmm, maybe I should change that this year...

You betcha Jackie!  I'll save some for you and Amanda, since she never gets to have it with nuts.

Yes, he did them!!  I am so proud.  I think he wants to impress his mama...how sweet.  He is actually at the grocery store right now picking up a few last minute things for me.  I really wonder who this helpful guy is and what he did with by BF....

Ginger, hummingbird cake is your standard cake batter ingredients (flour, sugar, eggs, etc), but add in cinnamon, crushed pineapple, mashed bananas, and chopped pecans, and has a cream cheese frosting.  This is the first time I've ever made it, and if it tastes anywhere near as good as it smells, we're gonna have a hard time waiting til Sunday to eat it!

I saw a recipe for that cake in one of my magazines this month and thought it looked really good. It reminded me a little of carrot cake but with bananas instead of carrots. Sounds yummy.

I made it to the gym today but I had to really push myself out the door. It's getting really windy and very chilly. I guess small white stuff is blowing out of the trees but for just a second or two, I thought it might be snowing. That would be really cool to see.

Jackie - I think I remember the candied eggs you're talking about. They weren't a favorite of mine but I did like any kind of candy there was when I was younger. My aunt always gave us those big eggs from Sees candy store. They usually had like a fudge filling and they'd last for a long time. They were a favorite of mine.
