    TGIF Chatter

Ari woke me up at 4:15am for no other reason than being bored. I never did go back to bed, and instead worked a bit from home - so at least my day at the office will be a little easier! I do wish I slept more. I like sleep. Sleep is good. If she weren't cute, *shakes fist*

On a completely different note, for someone who doesn't have television service at all, I've become a TV show addict. Thank you Netflix Instant viewing and Hulu.

    Ari you little stinker!!

I'm up because well I pretty much always wake up early LOL

I have plenty to do and the more I get done now the less I have to do this afternoon when the weather is due to be hot but gorgeous!

ha ha ha I was laughing last night because I told DH about how you can watch Hulu through the PS3 and he's never looked back.  And then he added Netflix and I never get to see anything I want anymore Wink

as an aside I bought B the Luna ball by Orbee and it apparently smells too minty.  He seems a bit freaked by it - a definite first for him to not love a toy immediately.  When he left it on the lawn last night it started to glow in the dark - then he was really like whoa this thing is weird.  He just stayed right next to it but with an untrusting look.  It was funny

Why does my body insist on waking at or before 5AM every freaking day??  So not my idea of a good time to get up.  6 would be fine.  5, no so much.

Still don't know when DH is coming home....sometime this weekend.  When is anyones guess though.  With the station done, it's not so crucial, but, I'm tired of carrying everything alone.  I guess I'm just tired, period.

And whiney this morning.  Yikes.  Hate that in myself!

We're (well, the dogs and I) are early risers also. It just makes the day go better I think.

Everything went well with DD's glucose test. We managed to find her the prettiest wedding dress yesterday and it's being subtly altered to fit!

My ac is broken and I'm dogsitting for my mom for today and tomorrow. I am not happy about this...

On a good note, Jackson has fallen in love with the bumble ball AND has learned how to turn it on and off himself!! Is it wrong to laugh so much when he's holding it in his mouth and his whole head is vibrating because of it??

Hope everyone's doing well!!! I'm doing a horrible job of keeping up with things..

I don't have to work today, I don't have to work today (imagine me singing and dancing around the house).

We do have a busy day planned though, consider it is supposed to be 80 degrees and sunny!!!!!  WHoo Hoo!.  First we are picking up the car this morning, then off the park with Charlie and Riley.  Then it is off to church for Good Friday.  Since it is so amazing outside we are planning a wine and cheese night out on the deck.  DH brought up the patio furniture yesterday so it is officially spring/summer in the Johnson household!!!  We are fully aware that it will be 50 degrees next week, but we are taking it while we can get it.  We actually slept with the window open last night and boy did I sleep well!

My parents come home on Easter from their 3 month winter jaunt in Palm Springs.  I am so excited to see them and excited to get our babysitters back.  On Saturday, I am going to stock their fridge and get everything ready for their arrival (turn on the water, air out the house, wind the grandfather clock, etc. etc.).  Hope everyone has an amazing day!

My garden spots are ready! Yeah!

The boys are both on vacation next week and so am I...yeah!

OK, the only down side and I am trying to be positive here is that I have several medical tests scheduled for next week.

    One is a stress test.

I'm scared, no reason to be, but scared non the less. The reason, some strange pains, elevated blood pressure. This all started the weekend of the 6th. My EKG was fine in the doctors office, so I guess this is just a precautionary thing. But I'm still scared.

So I plan to work on the garden all weekend and enjoy myself and try not to think of it.

    Glenda, I'm thinking of you.

    Me too!  On both accounts.

I won't be seeing DD and GDDs this Easter weekend.  But I did send the Easter baskets this week and they arrived Wednesday.  I always make my 32 year old DD a basket too.  Why, you may ask?

    Because guilt riddles me yearly.

When she was 16 years old, I figured she was too old for Easter baskets, so I didn't make her one.  O.M.G.  I never heard the end of it.  LOL

So, from age 17 until she turns 60 (doG willing); she will get an Easter basket from me.

Actually, adult baskets are much more fun to make.

DH took the day off today...he gets a 3 day weekend...which he NEVER does.  He needs to take more "me" time.  I may be able to swing a half day today...we'll see.

I, too, am th inking about you Glenda.

Lisa, I pm'd you, but will post.  Got the diaper sampler yesterday.  Tried them on Agnes, first she froze, and when I called her to me, her back end fell over (she's weak in the rear legs).  We are going to have to adjust things around and see what I can make work. It was sort of funny - almost like she was drunk the minute the diaper went on - her rear just swayed back and forth and then she was headed to the floor (I caught her though).

Other than that, she had an okay night - no coughing.  She got up 3 times for pee trips, but still had wet areas on her bedding.  She's been eating well, just going really slow on our short walks.

Even when I don't have a dog, I'm always up at 0500.  The cats sometimes think I need to get up earlier; I don't free-feed them, but they certainly aren't starving.

Annie, glad you are pretty much over the crud you had.

Leaving work at noon today.  I won't be gardening, but have a gutter and garage to clean out.  After that, who knows?

     So not awake yet.

I can't believe how Easter just snuck up on me this year.  With everything going on with Jamison and the stupid flooded basement I'm just in denial about all the stuff I need to get done before we go down the shore this evening to Mom and Pops.  Kate got home yesterday, so at least I can send off to shop for her little cousin's Easter basket stuff.  I have to make seafood crepes and an egg and fontina cheese charlotte in addition to mini banana creme brulees to take to Mumsy's.  Can anyone say leave work early????

    Can anyone say YUMMMM?!!

Yesterday when I told BF that I was taking today off, he decided it was a good excuse for him to stay home too, lol.  And what is more surprising, he made his own To Do list for chores today!  I am flabbergasted.

Ugh, so much to do today before BF's mom arrives, and I am seriously dragging out my "no work til I finish my coffee" philosophy...

Yeah, and that's in addition to the 9 thousand things Mumsy will be making.  My family knows how to eat, I tell ya.

Dawn, I had a stress test, in addition to some other heart testing, several years ago.  I was scared too but it wasn't at all bad and I actually found it very interesting.  I am fascinated with how the body works and focused on that part rather than the fact that it was MY heart getting checked out. I'll be thinking of you.  I will need pictures of your garden as it progresses and I sure hope you don't get rained out again this year.

Glenda, I wake up early every day but I like getting up early, mostly. lol  Thinking of you and hoping your DH gets home soon.

Tina, I'm glad Agnes didn't cough all night.

Susan, good to hear that DD's glucose test was good.  Yay on finding the wedding dress!!  Jackson, wish I could see your cute little head vibrating!

I hope to get off early today.  We'll see.  I tried to get some pictures of the dogs in their new Dublin collars but they were all outtakes. lol  I ordered these collars before Charles had his brain boo boo but hadn't even taken the tags off until yesterday.  I'll try again this weekend.

    Deb, have fun this weekend!

Barb, I think it's so clever of your DD to figure out how to get you to send her an Easter basket every year. lol  I read that some church near us is going to be dropping Easter goodies from a helicopter tomorrow. Surprise I may have to go check that out. lol
