Here we are on Wednesday

I'm sitting in the woods waiting for dogs to find me. I think its going to be a long night. I am hidden pretty well within some pine trees. I'm starving too!

Speaking of starving, I am with you on the losing weight / eating better thing. Its long past time!

Glenda so sorry you are going through such a tough time. I hope you can relax enough to sleep tonight.

I am picturing bugsy holding birds in his mouth and having them fly away. Too funny. He is one of a kind!

I was on the road today for 5 hrs for work. Bleh.

Come on dog, find me already! Maybe I should jump up and down and make noise :p

LOL, Cathy.  So I'm not the only one who girds up for poop patrol!!

You should've brought a cheeseburger with you. It'd take care of your hunger and the scent would surely bring the dogs around.

Speaking of cheeseburgers, that sounds really great right now. I'd settle for a fast food type but I'd really like a gourmet one with all the fixings. Fries too. :)

whistle for it ha ha ha ha- oops did I whistle like that Stick out tongue

I am excited to say that after a thorough inspection I do have a few blades of baby grass - not bad for 80lbs of seed Angry

Yes Cathy Bugsy is a huge baby - he remains very puppy-esque which people comment on when they meet him - you just don't want to be a mole ha ha

And yes when he opens his mouth the birds fly off - only once a dove didn't, DH said it looked like it had a heart attack.

LOL - can you imagine being a bird in Bugsy's mouth? You'd definitely think your life was over.

Itd be like us being in the mouth of a whale. I'm surprised the birds don't just die of a heart attack!

Sorry, but I have to laugh at the few blades of grass comment. You sound like me last summer! Course, it'll be me again in a few weeks no doubt :/ maybe I should cheer you on instead of laughing. Better for my karma

Sorry, but I have to laugh at the few blades of grass comment. You sound like me last summer!

Each year I tell DH you need to do so and so with the lawn and he gets grumpy and says, "who put you in charge of the lawn?" and "leave it with me."  So I did big mistake - a) as a native of northern England he isn't too up on southern lawns, b) is isn't a yard work/gardening sort of guy - so now we have a huge lawn mostly of weeds.  IF he had done the aeration and seed in the Fall as I said it would be awesome by now with all the rain we had.  Ah well, now I just have to try and get something established prior to the real heat getting here.

As for Bugsy and the birds I always think of Sylvester and Tweety

You do realize that talking about cheeseburgers and fries to a person who is on a diet, AND stuck in the woods while starving is like dangling a ritz cracker in front of a lost person in the desert!

I am not the only one who has noticed that just about the only "down" time you've had lately, to come here and check the forum,  is when you are in this position.... Just sayin'.  lol

I am flying here, so no real time to post, but hope all are well, and good thoughts for those who are not - especially Cathy and her ongoing sickness (poor C!) and Callie with her trip being affected.  Will post more later.

Yeesh, I know. What was I thinking? I guess I was thinking if I was a hungry dog wandering around the forest, that's what would get my attention.

Thanks for the well wishes Paige. I hope to at least sleep thru the night tonight. I don't have hot toddy stuff or even know what it is, but I do have some chardonnay. :)

You have grass? Even baby grass? Misha and Yuri run around like the fiends they are and destroy it. Hmm

I have a 6 page paper and an exam on Shakespeare all due tomorrow. Then I rush home (1 1/2 hour drive) and do laundry and pack for a flight time of 10 am. I'm hoping after I get my teeth out I'll get to chill with a Misha-dog.

Today my parents said that they could keep him if we couldn't find an apartment to take big dogs. I basically told them I didn't trust them to take care of me, let alone my dog. Hoping I can finish his reconditioning (afraid of people, but getting better!!) and get his CGC this summer.

Glenda -- glad the guys made it there okay, and had some time with your MIL.

Not on a diet, per se, but I can't have cheeseburgers anymore (just turkey burgers, which are okay) ... so I'm totally envious of any one who's talking about cheeseburgers, let alone eating them around me. I'm starting to salivate now!

I too would like to see a dove fly of, it sounds like it belongs in a magic show. Misha carries his eggs around, dropping them on the ground to break them... I'm wondering when he'll figure out that he could just bite them. Confused

LOL! Ok who has the 2x4?

Paige, this is why I don't complain about hiding in the woods for a couple of hours. It gives me time to sit back and catch up on the forums :)

OK ladies (and various mothers).....DH is tucked in for the night, as is DS.  When she was being transfered to hospice, the gal at the hospital called to be sure they would put here in a room with a sitting room and bathroom for guests.

I ate two meals today, which is about normal. Veggies and all.  Even ate some fresh strawberries.  And I even remembered to take my meds tonight.  I'm going to bed and do my best to actually get a GOOD nights sleep!
