Here we are on Wednesday

It wasn't like I was trying NOT to sleep.  And I did eat yesterday, afternoon anyway when I remembered that I'd forgotten to eat in the morning.  Am doing better today as far as food intake is concerned.

Stress normally knocks me out, but last night, between the bed hog Thor twisting me into pretzel shapes, and concern, I just kept waking up.

Please spare me the 2X4.......I'm feeling battered enough already.  Have already taken something out of the freezer for dinner for DS and myself, and my evening plans include a nice hot bubble bath and a good glass of wine.....or the whole danged bottle depending on the news from Maine.

Tina, that's a big bummer about the leak. But I also can't help but think all sorts of dirty jokes that could be made about your "plumbing" and how you need a man to come and "fix it." I hope you can share in my immature snickers and giggles.

I can and will share - it's the only way I can keep my sanity!

Cathy, it's not related to yesterday's repair - incoming water vs. outgoing = 2 different problems and pipes.  I just have that kind of luck.

I hope no one asks me to do anything complicated.

So, as soon as I typed that my boss calls me from his car and wants me to read and edit a grant support ltr. He has an IPhone but his bluetooth set is crappy. As I'm reading the ltr to him, everything I say is echoing back at me and a few times he was yelling to stop and edit something. Moments like that really make me want to turn off the lights and go home.

On a brighter note, it's a gorgeous day here. Way to nice to be stuck inside.

I'm proud of myself today.  I decided I MUST start dieting asap, so I had fruit for breakfast, and a grilled chicken salad for lunch.  Dinner will be lean pork chops (I made sure to get the ones with as little fat as possible), and asparagus.  I sure hope I can keep this up!

I really want to ditch work early today.  It is so nice outside, I just wanna go home and play outside with the dogs.  It is a travesty to be stuck indoors on such a nice day! Stick out tongue

Glenda, good thoughts coming your way.  Callie, I hope the cellulitis flare up doesn't mess up your trip.  Cathy, if you're still feeling crummy tonight, have someone make you a nice big mug of hot buttered rum.  That should clear up just about anything. It's really nice out here, too.  A tiny bit overcast and the temp is in the mid 50s.  I have lots to do and I can't make up my mind whether to start inside or outside .... which means at the end of the day I most likely won't have started anywhere.

A sort of good news update on MIL.  According to hospice, she's perked up a bit since this morning.  Enjoying a visit with step son, and looking forward to DS and DH's arrival.  Since they are within a couple hours I can *almost* relax that she's going to make it until they arrive.

Teeheeee!!! Dat's cute. Seriously. My dh would love that...big ole geek he is. He finished Mass Effect last night and is now looking forward to getting 2 and then finishing the first Uncharted. I hear some of the women there put the ones at car shows to SHAME. OOOH....personal request? If anyone is dressed like Dante from DMC and looks HAWT...please take a pic for me??

Gina: are you speaking English? I didn't understand ONE word of this, LOL.  I must be way older than I think I am.

I am addicted to cheddar cheese Quaker rice snacks

I am in a funk of late - life is just too darn difficult at times.  Thank goodness for the above and a vast variety of lovely alcohol infused drinks.

Beautiful evening here going to BBQ some shrimp, summer squash and have a nice salad

Bugsy caught a morning dove 10 minutes before I needed to leave this morning.  I am convinced that morning doves are intellectually challenged. I've lost track of how many times he has caught one - thank goodness he doesn't even disturb a feather.

I am truly mindless and have much to do this evening

Yup - he just prances around with them.  The funniest was when he was really young he caught a wren - which he completely had in his mouth - when I finally got him to open his big old mouth it flew out LOL

    Amen! Yes

Random observation...do not attempt to remove a fake fingernail yourself.  It is not pleasant.

I need to have a serious conversation with Sammy.  He has this habit of walking, pooping, walking, pooping, and so on.  So instead of one normal pile, there are little bits scattered all over.  My yard is a minefield...

Yes. WAY. lmbo *running to hide*

Basically...people dress up at video game conventions...like they do at the Star Trek ones, as characters from their favorite games.

I have a particular character than pushes my button, Dante...from the video game mentioned. IF someone dressed up like him and looked REALLY GOOD doing so...I wanted a pic. LOL.

    BTW here he is...BOO-YAH!

OK, I can breathe again.  They guys got up there, spent some time with MIL and are heading out for a meal without a dashboard in front of them while she rests for a short time.

Now if I could just get the station equipment to work......

Buffy does the very same thing. She starts out in the flower bed, then keeps walking and pooping on the walkway and then on to the grass then back on the walkway. It's crazy to watch. Sassy finds a place, stops and doesn't move until she's done.
