Here we are on Wednesday

    Here we are on Wednesday

Hoping for a positive update on Jamison.

Glenda, did your men make in to Maine safely?

Washing machine draining normally, but.....now the cold water shut off valve going from the supply to the washer is dripping big time.

Why is it that everything seems to be leaking in my house?  LOL

     Aww Tina that's sucky!

My second interview went VERY well yesterday. If my current employer today doesn't announce today that we're moving to home based operations, and a job offer comes through from that interview - I'll take it. It's a very interesting job, and aside from no experience in that industry, it's an entry level job at a good starting pay, with lots of room for advancement. They want someone eager to learn, train, and eventually supervise someone else to do the entry level work.

    Why isn't it Friday yet??

Tina, I hope your drip is just a minor problem.  I bet sewer guy would LOVE to come over and see if he can fix it for you. Wink

Sharon, I hope your current company does offer the work from home option but it's good to have some back up offers, just in case. :)  Good luck, either way.

Kind of a drizzly gray day here today with possible storms.  I need to get busy and get some of this paperwork done.  Charles is feeling good and is getting bored at home.  That's a sign of someone getting better. :)

Glenda, thinking of you and hoping your men get to MI safely.  We're here if you need us.

Well, I'll have to go one up - to a plumber.  So save it until I report back about him, okay? Stick out tongue

Well, I'll have to go one up - to a plumber.

Wow, Michigan must have a union for everything. lol  Here a plumber and a sewer guy are one and the same, for the most part.  I'll be waiting for a full report on the plumber. :)

    • Gold Top Dog

I don't know if it's a union issue, but it's definitely a licensing issue.  Anyone can auger drains, but plumbers must be licensed.

Plumbers can auger drains, but some choose not to.

I can only hope the guy doesn't show any crack.  That, in my book, would be a plus!  LOL

Tina LMBO! I used to work in a place where there was this guy who had chronic plumber's crack issues (he was a research scientist). He also had several other issues, such as asking me out (he was married), drug abuse, and an all around unstable personality (when they finally fired him, we had to have a police office stationed at our office for a few days since he threatened to kill us all)....One of these days I will write that book about that place (all names changed to protect the guilty of course!)

Tina, fingers crossed that the leak is minimal & easily fixed.

Cathy, I hope that you're feeling better today!

I am getting ready to leave for the day.  I am pickup Bev up this afternoon, & I've decided that I really want to do a little shopping this morning.

When I talked to the guys two hours ago, they were in PA approaching the Tapenzee Bridge

I have called Hospice twice this morning and been unable to speak with MIL's nurse so I'm getting nervous.  Of course, it could be another patient who is having issues, but, please God, let her hang on to say goodbye to her only child......

The nerves are shot.  Certain bodily functions that are supposed to be solid are now liquid......and sleeping is an exercise in futility.  I was awake more last night than I was asleep.

The coffee definately needs to be IV this morning.

Oh man, you guys.  Glenda my thots and prayers are with you and the whole family -- worrying about someone getting TO something like that (on little sleep and way too much worry) is worse than being the designated driver.  But most definitely am lifting that whole situation up.

Sharon -- good luck girl -- may you get blessed with the best of ALL things!!

Jackie -- tell Charlie that in his case "boredom" is like the itch that accompanies a healing scar -- it's a GOOD thing but it can make you crazy!!

Amanda -- give Bev a careful scratch from me and tell him I think he's the awesomest dude of ALL.

Tina -- sorry, but "crack" is illegal in most states so I hope ya don't have ta deal wif NONE of it!!  *grin*   It always makes me yearn for a squirt gun ... oops. Or maybe just duct tape?? LOL    You've got a leaky Agnes and a leaky pipe.  You don't need any more leaks!!

I'm trying to finish getting everything at work so I *can* leave for a few days.  I didn't even get a chance to post yesterday.

David and I are going to NYC for the weekend (big deal -- ain't been nowhere in almost 2 years since we got Tinker) -- soooooooooooooooooooo guess what?  Callie winds up with cellulitis AGAIN (haven't had it in about 3 years dagnabbit)

I nearly wept (no joke) when I got this diagnosis Monday.  My homeopath did all he could but he really felt like I needed to also be on antibiotics just to prevent any huge explosion of pain while I'm away.

Walk-in clinic wouldn't diagnose it because I was gonna fly!!  There's always the slight possibility that it could be a blood clot rather than cellulitis ... sooooooooooooooooooooooooo yesterday morning I had to go to another doctor who could prescribe a Doppler *rolling eyes* (and here I am not having near enough hours in a day ANYWAY).

Shoved a syringe of antibiotics in my behind (now I can say I found something new to be a pain in the ...), handed me a script and sent me to the radiologist.

It was ALL CLEAR thank heavens -- but dang, what a time suck!!  So I didn't get to work til noon, so I wound up staying til 8:30 p.m. to get done all I need to get done.

Today my head is spinning just trying to get all my stuff done.

Of course NYC is supposed to have a COLD weekend (so had to buy new clothes to be warm - thank heavens for online shopping).

But going to the dr. will be worth it all if it helps this pain in my knee go away.  It hasn't been typical cellulitis (which always feels like you got horse kicked) but dang I'm sick of gimping around.

Glenda, all I can do is tell you what you and everyone else was telling me when I was so freaked and scared about Charles.  Try and take care of yourself because you can't get rundown and get sick.  I have a similar tummy reaction when I'm stressed and I so understand what that is like.   I know it's hard to sleep and do anything but worry but you have to try or I'll have  Deb get after you with her 2 X 4.  It hurts, let me tell ya'. lol

Tina, we license plumbers here too and maybe some plumbers here don't do sewer drains either. I hope the guy isn't like the last plumber we had.  Cigar butt chomping, crack revealing, non stop talker who looked like he had just crawled out of a sewer line. Ewwww.  He was like a caricature of all the plumber jokes you've ever seen.

Callie, we must have been posting at the same time.  I hope your cellulitis doesn't mess up your trip.  Have a great time and don't do anything I wouldn't.  That pretty much gives you license to do anything. lol

Is cracking up at how her stupid Google toolbar will tell her various pages "are in Indonesian, do you want to translate" when the pages is TOTALLY in English. lmbo.

Storms are looming,,,due to start RIGHT when I pick up the kids from school of course. blah!

    • Gold Top Dog

Callie - I hope you have a wonderful trip and the shot in the rear did the trick.

Tina - Sorry about the leaky hose now. I'm assuming that wasn't related to anythng the guy did yesterday but just bum luck?

Amanda - I'm super excited about Bevo coming home and I know you must be too. I haven't had to leave either dog overnight at the vet and I'm not sure how I'd handle it. Actually DH would be the one who'd want to sleep in the car in the parking lot. :)

I hope Jamison is doing okay today.

I feel as yucky today as I did yesterday. I woke up at 3:30 and my throat was really hurting. After I laid there for an hour trying to go back to sleep, I got up and took 3 motrin. It helped but it's still sore. I'd have stayed home but I have stuff to do for our Board mtg tomorrow and my Dep Dir is flying in this morning. I hope no one asks me to do anything complicated.

Glenda, sending you tons of soothing thoughts! When I get anxiety-related digestive distress, pepto bismol tablets really help. Also making sure I don't forget to eat, and having lots of small, healthy snacks throughout the day (lest the stomach sit empty and try to digest itself).

Callie, that stinks. Have fun in NYC!!! The weather around here is GORGEOUS right now, though a bit cool-windy. Bring a good jacket!

Tina, that's a big bummer about the leak. But I also can't help but think all sorts of dirty jokes that could be made about your "plumbing" and how you need a man to come and "fix it." I hope you can share in my immature snickers and giggles.

Erica, I didn't say so yesterday, but I'm very sorry about your tiny kitten. I know it happens, and is part of life, but I'm sure that doesn't make it much easier. But I bet the little one was very grateful to be in such good hands while he was here!

Cathy, sorry you're still feeling icky.

BF and I are going to Boston this weekend for a big videogame convention type thing. I've never been to anything like that before - should be interesting!!
