The joys of the weekend are finally upon us!!!  Here in iglooVille it's supposed to go all the way up to 16 today!!!  Is it summer already?  Should I be getting all my hard work done now?  Flowers?  Shrubs?  Heck, who can work with this nice weather!  I actually got to sit on the deck this morning to drink my tea without shivering!!!

I was really looking forward to attending a seminar by Dr. Dodds this month but come to find out the kennel club up here *forgot* to organize the event!  Damn organizers.  Now she won't be coming till early next year!

Hope all is well for everyone and their furkids.  All I can think of this morning is Cheesecake!!!  Yeah...what the hell!

I think a nice L  O  N  G hike is in the plans for the day also!

    Cheers.

Another perfectly beautiful spring day here, too!  I definitely plan to take advantage and have some fun with the dogs today.

Johnny, yardwork, schmardwork.  I say you just enjoy your nice weather, too! Wink

Very short summer.  It hit 70 on Thus, shirt sleeve weather.  Sat out in the yard after work.  Next morning , in the 30 degree range.  Sat AM, ice in the fish pond again..  But it keeps the beer cold.

Mid-70s here today and for the rest of the 7 day outlook, so I'm happy about that. If I plant a bunch of spring flowers now though, the weather will definitely change. It's tempting but I know better.

I slept really well last night for a change. I have some cleaning to do and then might go do some shopping. I really love having 3 days off.

I hope everyone has a great weekend. I know it'll be extra special for Jackie and Charles. :)

Rainy and mid 30's here. Looking for some snow tonight. We need to figure what's for dinner and then go and get it before the roads get crappy.

GORGEOUS day here and I will attempting to make a dent in the 10 cu yds of mulch sitting on my driveway - sigh.

Woohoo Bugsy didn't knock over the elderly guests Big Smile Unfortunately they had their 12 lb doxie with them who was mean as a snake, B was bringing her toys and doing his best play bows and she just snarled and snapped.  We wound up keeping them apart because she was really after him.  Poor guy in his own house no less, LOL.  They left a bit ago and he is ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Missed a bunch of stuff glad Bev is OK and Agnes too.  Sorry about Sheba and Shiloh need to read about that

Yea for Jackie & Charles - hope the weather is wonderful for you

    OK mulch beckons

Johnny, are you talking 16 Celsius or F? Either one is unacceptable to me. It's back in the 80's here - whoo!

Today is BF's first day actually working as law enforcement on the beach. I'm a little worried about him - it's the first day of Black College Reunion, plus it's still spring break, and it's been really busy in the zone he's in...he said he just wants to come home with the same number of bullets he's leaving with. Oy. Why am I marrying a cop?! This is too stressful.

I'm working from home today, whee!

Sheesh, I forgot to say ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND Mr. and Mrs. Jackie!!!

Also, am I supposed to send thank you cards to people who send us 'congratulations on your engagement' cards?? Anyone?

Ditto to Mr & Mrs Jackie!

I would think send a thank you card only if they included any sort of gift (money, gift card, etc) otherwise, probably not.  I mean, it could go on forever if they send you a thank you card for thanking them for their card -- right?
But, I don't think I know all the etiquette rules, so maybe I'm not the best judge here.

Yay for being stuck in the library all day when it's 70 outside.... boo hoo.

Mini rant...warning, momma bear in full swing.

D and I had a wonderful day yesterday.  Just awesome.  Then SHE called.  She calls when the new live in boyfriend (oppps, seems to have forgotten that she's still married) takes the dogs for a walk.  Dear heaven that girl is such a little witch and I really, really need the 2x4 and maybe someone named Vito to wield it.  A totally wonderful day just shot to crap.  He was on his cell phone and I was in the kitchen doing kitchen stuff and could STILL hear her screaming.  Let's just turn the screws a little bit tighter.......

Off for the day......I may take his cell phone away from him so he isn't tempted to talk to her should she call raising heck again today.  She got EVERYTHING she wanted.  Why the heck can't she just let him have some peace and time to heal??

Its back in the 30s today and snowing a little. Thankfully it'll be warming back up next week. This just gives me an excuse to stay in bed and nap ;)

I'll be thinking good vibes for your BF's first day. The worry does diminish some with time...until you hear something crazy on the radio or they have a close call of some kind. :(

I don't think it's necessary to send thank you cards for congratulatory notecards unless the cards included some money. I hope you got lots of those.

Glenda - sorry about your son and the nasty ex. It may take some time but your son will probably get tired of the drama at some point and ignore her calls.

Getting ready to plant my garden, need to head to walmart to get 2 more topsy turvy's I already have one and it actually worked I grew little tomatoes in it last year. It's not time yet to grow my pumpkins or watermelons at least I think it isn't lol.

I went to the dermatologist on Wednesday, I have a keloid scar the doctor said for about a month or two to press hard on it and rub it for 5 mins a day with some cream and it should go away.  I said ok then he says or I can give you a shot which will make it go away faster.

I said well what will be cheapest because I don't have health insurance so I'm paying with cash, he then said I'll give you the shot for $60 and not charge you for the visit. So I took the shot and wow it went down the first day.  Very nice doctor to not charge for the visit wish more doctors were like him.

I must go get soil now, I love the idea of planting and having a garden I just hate making the holes lol

Have a good day everyone Smile

We both slept great last night and didn't wake up till 7.  That was really nice.  A big thunderstorm blew thru about that time with wind, heavy rain, and a light show with sound effects.  The dogs took one look out the back door and crossed their legs to hold out for better conditions.  It didn't last long and now the sun is shining.  It's windy and supposed to stay cool but very nice.  I have all the windows open and it feels so fresh and springlike.

Johnny, I hope you get some warm weather soon.  Sheesh, you'd think you lived in Nova Scotia or something. :) Give all your puppers some lubbins from us.

Karen, I'm glad the visitors weren't knocked on their bums.  Mean little weiner dog to spurn Bugs sweet play attemtps.  Good boy Bugs, not to eat the little snapper dog.  Enjoy your mulch moving.  You will feel it tomorrow, no doubt.

Meg, I would be worried sick in your shoes.  I hope he stays safe and comes home with tales of dumb drunks and sexy girls.  He's in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm off to fix lunch.  This low residue diet is the pits.  Low fiber, no raw veggies or fruit.  No whole grain anything.  No nuts, no CHOCOLATE or caffeine.  I did find a nice flounder at the store this morning and will grill that for dinner with some fresh green beans.  Of course, the green beans have to be cooked till they are very very soft so he can eat them.  He has to limit dairy and no spicy food.  It's very boring but it won't be forever.

    Have a good weekend everyone.
