Cathy... read you comments about the thyroid levels and wanted to recommend a good naturopathic doctor in addition to your regular dr. if you are still having symptoms, they treat the whole person and the symptoms, not just the numbers. I tried that and finally have some relief from my thyroid issues (I am hypo).

Thanks Karen. I'm hypo too. When looking for a good naturopathic dr., what do you look for? I'm guessing my insurance won't cover a visit?

Cathy, feel free to PM me so we don't hijack the thread ;) Some insurance covers it, some doesn't... mine is a POS and didnt' but it was worth every penny. My doctors ignored the comments about being tired, brain fog, etc and kept me at a higher level than I knew made me feel better. The naturopathic doctor, in addition to suggesting supplements, listened and believed me about still having symptoms and upped the thyroid meds to a point where I felt better! It can be very frustrating when they treat the numbers, not you as a person! I choose my naturopathic dr. through recommendations from friends and research online.

There is no way to hijack MC! Sorry to hear about your deer accident :(

    Bugsy, BEHAVE!

Some of the other petsitters I work with and I are going to a new Olive Garden tonight - YUM :) We can't talk the boss-lady into going, but I bribed her with a glass of wine and she said maybe.

Cathy, I know how you feel. I feel the same way when they talk about law enforcement officers on the news - ugh. Being married to a public servant has it's perks and drawbacks.

I have had the worst craving for pasta lately that I could really do some damage on one of those never-ending pasta dishes. I love their salad and bread sticks too. Oh, and their hot artichoke dip is wonderful.

I worry about DH in general with his job but the ladder climbing thing freaks me out. I get nervous on a step stool, so it's beyond me how they can do what they do.

Karen thanks for the added info and as Meg said, you really can't hijack this thread. I've never had any of the symptoms of being hypothyroid until I had my hysterectomy. I'd been attributing the brain fog, fatigue and joint/muscle pain to the surgical menopause, but I'd read that it could be the thyroid, so I asked for a retest and I'm glad I did.

Tina, I never saw the original "hot surfer dude", but will Mathew McConaughey suffice?

If not, here's something called the Bad Day gift - looks like gummy sharks:

But that doesn't seem like enough, so, this was the closest thing I could come to chocolate and puppies together in a basket:

Happy Friday everyone... Hit a deer yesterday on the way to a meeting. I'm ok but out of work for a few days on muscle relaxants and painkillers:(... deer died instantly thank goodness, my car... I find out today if it's totalled. Not sure if I want it to be or not, I have a one thousand dollar deductible! But I loved that car and must've jinxed myself talking about it a day or two ago saying how nice it is to have a trouble free, paid off car!

OMG! So, so sorry to hear about that! It's always a traumatic experience. I've hit one as well, about 15 years ago. Totalled the Ex's truck. that was the only good that came from it. I felt horrible for killing the poor creature, although they are totally overcrowded here in this region. I'm always VERY cautious when it comes to critters on the road. In 18+ years of driving, I have only ever hit the deer, a bunny, and a bird flew into my windshield once. Ugh. Got stuck under my windshield wiper. Ick!

Hope you have a relaxed afternoon.

    hugs...

Well, thank goodness for the hot surfer dudes to distract me from that picture. I'm so glad that there are people who aren't as wimpy about heights as I am.

    Hugs for Tina and Agnes!

Oh my Karen I am so glad you were not hurt.  Even though I watch out for them and know all there crossing paths they are just notorius for coming from no where and jumping out at you!  ICertain time of the year, I am so aware of the deer that I will almost imagine I see the eyes in the dark, I know people probably hate to drive behind me on all these hills!

Well my Hubby is finally home from Tulsa, he was so happy to be home and the dogs were attached to him all night, they really missed him.  I finally have the van back to take Hot Shot to the vet and the vet is at the Sale barn today soooo we take him in tomorrow morning.   I am glad, he is doing better but I just need the vet to check and make sure I am doing everything right.

Steph, I just wanted to tell you that finally after almost 9 months my daughter's divorce got signed yesterday!!!!  Woohoo!!!! She called as soon as she got away from the Judge.  She said when the Judge said, "Divorce granted" Tears welled up in her eyes....I told her did she explain they were happy tears and she said No I said Thank You Sir and got out of there as fast as I could before someone changed their mind, lol!  I know you have been having quite the battle too so this is to assure you......it does happen!!!!

Shiloh and Sheeba RIP, hugs to your humans!

This has been one of the most exhausting weeks I have had in a very long time...I am soooo glad it's Friday!!!!!

Did someone mention Kaluha and ice cream yesterday????  I'm in, cant wait for my weekend treat of Bailey's and Coffee on the front porch!

OK everyone that posted hot surfer dudes is EVIL!! LMAO!!

holy crap how long did it take for friday to get here? and stop talking about pasta!! haha nom nom

been really tired this week, mostly because of Sheba. I almost feel like there is a weight off of me - I was stressed the last few weeks over her. I'm happy that she's not in pain anymore. I know it just made her mad not being able to do ANYTHING.

Zoey graduated puppy class last night!! She got a squeaky stuff that matched her ( zebra stripes lol) She had a hard time focusing on training last night lol. Did some little agility things, and all she wanted to do is mob the trainer with kisses!! she's such a people dog. We grabbed something to eat on the way home and a lady that parked next to us was getting in to her car - she was pressed all the way against her car!! she was afraid of Zoey!! I couldn't believe it!! so was her kid!! So sad, cuz she loves people & probably would just kiss them to death. Zoey had a good time hanging her head out the window on the way to & from class. Its like all of sudden she just discovered it.

Somehow she lost her tags!!! So I guess I gotta make her another one! Good thing I didn't put on her rabies tag yet or else that would've disappeared too. Probably somewhere in the yard.

I can't believe it but the BF is cleaning today!! I told him I wanted video of him cleaning the bathroom. I swear he never does it and he claims he does. So if that toilet is scrubbed when i get home I"m going to be shocked!!

My sis is most likely going to move in with me, she got a pink slip. So the plan is to most likely get outta the city & move in with me this summer. I'm half excited half bummed, I know she liked living in the city & next to the beach. But stoked that I get my sis back in a way. I feel like i never get to see her enough. She's worried she'll get on my 'nerves' which is ridiculous, she's my sis!! ( we've always had a great relationship), I'm worried about her coping living with so many animals!! LOL Can't wait to hang out all the time and probably work out together!! finally a workout buddy!! ( besides my pups anyways).

I want to enter Zoey in another class, Sr. PUppy or Agility for fun, but I think i wanna get her spayed first.

I just read about Sheba and I'm so sorry. I do totally understand about how it can be somewhat of a relief after spending so much time worrying and stressing about what to do or not do. She's free from pain now and you are free from her pain too. :)

I've the self-clean running on the oven and it smells almost toxic. I know it just high heat that does the cleaning but why does it smell so awful? It wasn't even that dirty, so it's not like there's a bunch of stuff to burn off.

Check out boomerang tags! They make a 'collar tag' that doesn't hang, it slides onto the collar so it's harder to lose it :) Plus, I just love that company. I forgot to put 'I'm deaf' on Tiki's tag when I ordered it, so I emailed the company, thinking I was screwed, but the owner himself emailed me back by the next morning and said it was no problemo! Now that's service :)

I cooked all the stuff for the pup's food, but I haven't run it through the food processor. Even all congested, I can still smell liver. Gag.
