Nope, never driven in Boston, but was almost hit by a 747 at Logan airport while on a shuttle bus from one terminal to the next.  Travel

Still, nothing beats Boston and outlying areas.  NOTHING.

Twenty years later DH still talks about going to Boston with me! Never did get the hand prints off the dash of my car Angry

Clearly you've never driven in Boston.

That was a special Middle Finger to the drivers, but it was 95% completed by the end of 2004.  Work still continued and they say the final ramp was in like 2006.  A pretty map for anyone interested: http://www.massdot.state.ma.us/Highway/images/bigdig/completion_lg.jpeg

News flash from Charles this morning!  He's trying to get his different therapists to give him a "pass" to come home for a few hours on Sunday!  Woot Woot!!!!!!

Haven't read all the posts but hope everyone's ok.

Groan.  IN DC, around DC, on the beltway.  In NYC, in Boston, in and around LA.....I really hate driving in the big cities.  And since I hate flying I'm kind of screwed if I need to go anywhere....I pretty much have to drive.

So, not really, but good morning all!!  Been a rather busy morning, but that' starting to be the norm.  Busier than normal because the boy is here, but that' too cool so I'm sure not complaining.

We're supposed to have sunshine this weekend!  Yahooooooo!

Yahoo!! That's great news and I'll bet it would do wonders to boost his spirits..and yours. OMG, the puppers will be thrilled too.

I think I need to borrow the 2x4. I really want to hurt one of our teachers for being such an idiot. It's a good thing he works a couple hours away. Grrrrrrrr..

    I'm thinking Jackie's thinking otherwise.

Yay Jackie that is so awesome!

Bummer about the beach house Amanda.

Courtney, I hope something eventually happens to make the grad school stuff better.  I can't imagine how rough that must be right now.  I'm sorry to hear about your g'ma.

So my brother and I had that huge blow up the other night.  We ended up in an email exchange.  I intentionally wrote mine 12+ hours after receiving his so that I could calm down and respond clearly and without anger.  He misses every single point.  All he wants to do is continue to whine about people doing things that are so negative to him.  I tried to point out that the things he's whining about where done b/c of his thoughtlessness and hostility to anyone who says anything other than 'oh you are awesome and everything you do is wonderful'  I give up.

FH read the responses and said my brother is acting like a ghetto skank "Im bout to to wash my hands o yall fur reel"  Which cracked me up, b/c, sadly enough, he was pretty much spot on.

STBX and I filed taxes together, b/c financially it made the most sense to do so (this was also before I found out about Dusty and Pooch).  He keeps texting me about the $.  I answered him once, I think it was last week, that he'll the the $ when I get it.  He has been texting me every day this week and I do not answer him.  I have nothing left to say to him.  So day he called my work phone.  The first time I told him 2x I have nothing to say to him and hung up.  He called back and left a message, saying that I'm being childish, and that he will be suing me for the $.  Maybe I am, but the only thing I want to do is tell him what a complete waste of space he is, and I've done that already.  I see no reason to respond and be pulled into some drama with him.  I would be highly amused if he were to sue me.  Mostly b/c he would be wasting money b/c I haven't gotten the refund back yet.  There is nothing to give him right now, and if he went to the IRS's website he could find that out for himself.  I fully intend to write a check out to him when the $ comes and give it to his mother.  I have no interest in making contact with him.

FH wants me to give him STBX's # so he can talk to him.  Tempting....

Jackie - that's fantastic! I hope they let Charles come home for a bit :)

Cita and Amanda, I'm sorry to hear about the grad school troubles and not getting the beach house.

Well.....FH and I met with the trainer last night, we sat in on a class and we liked her, so come April, Timmy will be in beginner's agility! hehehe. He will LOVE it. I think he will do really well with it, once he gets over the whole excitement of being around all the other dogs.

What about Amanda's idea to have the process server come with you when you deliver the check so you can be sure he's been served the divorce papers?  I thought that was a really good idea.

I think its a good idea too.  Perhaps ACO can tag along as well?

Yay, Jackie!  I hope Charles is able to come home for a bit this weekend...that would be fantastic!

It is a good idea, wishful thinking on my part that he'll will have been served by the time the $ gets here.  I guess it will be a big merry group of us.  I was hoping to be able to avoid having to see him.

I hear ya... maybe the ACO could join you, too!!  Hooray!  It's a PARTY!  Or something uglier.  I'm sorry.  You sound so dejected (understandably)...  Handing over Cadbury Mini Eggs... laced with arsenic for the STBX to consume??  Wait, let's keep the chocolate safe for you to consume, and I'll send over some *potentially* salmonella-contaminated pepper!  (our latest recall at work)

Jackie, that's great about Charles!!  How nice would THAT be?!  I know I keep saying it, but it's just so incredibly awesome that he's made such progress.  I wonder if being home will help with any lingering memory issues.  Hope all goes smoothly and he can spend some time relaxing away from the rehab environment.  (Shoot, I wouldn't be surprised if all he wants to do is sleep in his own bed! lol)

Amanda, I forgot to say it - sorry about the house... you never know what may come up in the future, as you know.  Hope you get a place you & the boys can enjoy by this summer.
