I am going to look at/test drive a motorcycle at lunch today.  DH has been wanting a bike
I saw this yesterday outside the Subway - so weird.
My friend has one of those. You've seen our ural right? its rad.

Nope.  When you say ural, I think of the Ural Mountains, since I'm studying Russian geography.

    Here it is!

Loads of fun, we get smiles all the time, especially if we have one of the dogs with us.

Bean has two RAE legs, now, and I have a sunburn! She rode around in my friend's dog stroller, all weekend, and now I have to buy her one. She LOVES the stroller! I didn't even zip it, all weekend, because once her butt was on that pillow, it stayed there. She thought it was pretty GREAT to ride, when all the others had to walkBig Smile Did someone say "spoiled"?

I joined the Tiny Trackers Yahoo group, and I'm about to go out and lay her first track. She is great at using her nose, and I think it will be a good confidence booster, for her. We may or may not compete, depending on what she does, and whether they ever hold tracking trials on mowed feilds...

That would crack me up!!  I bet they have Doggles, even! lol

I got a little more details on Mayday's progress.  Her mom is struggling to see Mayday is not the same live-wire who LOVED to jump (my word, that has always been her life-juice in the rings - you had to consciously steer her away from a jump).  Knowing Mayday was essentially paralyzed and yet has come so far as to be walking and standing on her own is a lot to digest, since it doesn't seem she'll ever get back to running and jumping.  In her mom's words:  "Every time I think Mayday is having a set back, somebody tells me how awesome she's doing. We were at PT this Sat and I was thinking about how her rear wheels are still off and her Therapist was raving on how GREAT she was doing. The fact she can poop, pee and walk around the house is fantastic. The fact that Mayday can shake the rain off her almost sent the poor woman to the moon. I guess I still see her as that dog who use to kick ass over the jumps and run, run, run."

Edit to add: CONGRATS to BEAN and JENNIE!!!  Yahoooooo!!  Did you have big classes?  (Man, the RAE is so expensive, but if the dogs love it... I just can't imagine the people who go 20 and 30 and 40 times!)

    • Gold Top Dog

No, there were 5 or 6 entries for each class. Novice B had 12! LOL It was a quieter show. It was very annoying, though, that there were people with dogs out, talking and laughing LOUDLY within 3 feet of the ring gates. She enjoys it, and I enjoy it. As far as I can count from Events and Statistics on the AKCs site (not including 09), there are only 2 CCs with RAEs so far. Not many people do stuff with them, and I don't get it! They are soooo much fun!

Em had an RAE, and NQd at least as many times as she Qd. Wanna talk about expensive? LOL She REALLY enjoyed it, though, an her NQs were almost all her clowning around to get responses from people.

Aww, sounds like Mayday.  I think it took 9 or 10 trials for her CDX. Gotta love the spunky girls.

Yay that Mayday is doing so well, and to Jennie and Bean, and to Harley for getting adopted.

    Tiki!  Be careful :)

    Sorry about the bite Tina.

I finally was able to talk to the lawyer today (after leaving at least one message every day last week.  The process server told her that he tried 12 times to serve the STBX and was 'unable to make contact'.  I really don't know how that's possible, he's freaking broke all the time, he can't afford to go anywhere.  Every time I drive by both of their (him and the g/f) vehicles are there.

And on top of it, he texted me again about the taxes.  How dense can he be to not get that I think he's the biggest POS on the planet, and that if I am ever to run into him, it will probably not go well?

I hope all is going smoothly with Jan and baby.

no update from Mr Janice yet

I broke down and decided to take B to the lake for a swim - it is nearly 70* and so lovely.  Guess what it was closed - been closed on Monday's since October LOL Another government cut back.  I could have driven around the back way that we walk in decided leave it until tomorrow.  B not so thrilled with that decision, he started spinning when I asked him if he wanted to swim. Surprise Oh for his enthusiasm

Ari says Bugsy can come swim in the river with her. Ari does NOT care that it only recently hit about 40 degrees lol. She rushed right in the river, when I relented to led her down to the beach. A bigger flat coat smile, I have never seen.

a photo of a beautiful baby appeared on Jan's facebook page Smile

And then facebook promptly errored while I was trying to find more.  Gah!

Squeal!  Rushing off to FB to see the new addition!

Way to go, Jennie & Bean!!!

Paige, I'm so glad that Mayday is improving!  The fact that she can't do all of the things that she used to, is a very tough thing to get used to.  I feel for her owner.

Steph, when you get the tax refund, arrange for the process server to meet you when you meet the STBX.  That way you know, for a fact, that he's been served.

Baby Sonja has arrived??? I want to see pics too.

I've become addicted to another ustream cam. This one is from So. Cal. GSR group and they took in a pregnant mom who delivered the very next day. The puppies are adorable and totally addicting. They're at the playful stage and just decided the pee pad would be more fun to play with than to pee on  LOL.
