Tina thanks for posting the update I'll check that before leaving and so glad you retrieved Harley.  See now if Bugsy were there he would have caught him and kept him near him (he likes to keep track of the little ones )

So sorry to hear that Mr. Jackie had to have more surgery.  Keeping my fingers crossed that he comes through this latest little setback.

Well, my sinus infection finally got the better of me so I stayed home and took a sick day.  I'm going back to bed soon.

 It's freaking snowing/raining again here!!!  Go away winter !!!!

 Just had an idea but no time to research - is there a way to send Jackie a food basket or do an online shop for her and we could chip in to cover it?  I am out all day and busy until after 8pm tonight, I'll check back here, start a thread or pm me if anyone has ideas on this.  Food gift baskets aren't the comfort food I was thinking of, what ya think?

Late last week, I sent her a week of comfort food dinner meals from DineWise - it should be getting there tomorrow,  There are plenty of websites that offer different meals available for delivery.  I hope she likes the stuff I sent - I pretty much chose lots of "stick to your ribs" type meals.  I just hope she actually takes a little time to EAT them.

I just got a cute email from FIL - this is the same man who claims to "not like dogs" - they are in Australia visiting SIL and travelling around a bit - his email says that he found a Sadie! He took a picture of this dog he found while on a walk, and emailed it to us :) hehehe. He's funny, you always hear him mumbling about the "darn dog" and making fun of them, but the dogs absolutely love him and whenever he thinks no one is looking, he cuddles and loves on them.

 No news. Off to my doc appt...

I'm sorry to hear this but I'm hoping that someone picked her up and is taking good care of her. Did she have a collar on with any ID or she micro chipped?

Tina - that sounds like one crazy walk/run you had last night. I could almost see a commercial being made out of the scene and then showing you taking a Calgon bath or something afterwards. I'm glad everyone was okay.

Karen - if you come up with an idea for Jackie, let me know. I'd be happy to chip in.

Deb - you're an angel for sending the meals to her and I'm sure she's going to appreciate it.

I was so hoping that Charles wouldn't need that surgery. My dad had it and then developed a nasty infection. He recovered but it was a scary time. Hopefully Charles will do better and he's definitely getting the most attentive care in ICU, so that's good.

I have a dental cleaning at 9 so I got to sleep in a little.It's pouring though and I don't want to even get dressed today.

 That pothole I hit yesterday... $700 for the necessary repairs to the stinkin car! AAAHHHHH!!! Can I file a complaint with my county or something?

We had an article in our newspaper about that... really, you would have to show they had previous knowledge the pothole existed, and you would only be eligible for up to your insurance deductible, and more than likely they would take you the full way to court, so it wouldn't be worth the effort.  Maybe by you it's different?  The article was in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, so you might be able to get it online if you searched.

Tina, sorry to hear about your adventure, but glad it ended well.  Poor Agnes, getting dragged around in the middle of it all too.

Today is a blah day.  I was at a work conference all day Monday (we had to drive so we left at around 4:45am and didn't get back until around 1opm) and I have a midterm today.  Ugh. 

My word!  Harley!  I am so thankful you live in an area where people would stop and try to help you catch him.  Poor Agnes. 

I'm really bummed for Jackie about Charles needing surgery.  Poor guy is probably more than sick of being cooped up in the hospital, only to have to have another surgery which will slow down his ability to walk around the way he was doing last week.  That sucks.

Deb, that's so great that you sent her meals!   Karen, I was thinking the same thing.  So, what else could we do?  Home cleaning service?  Esp since her sister is coming?  I don't know.

So far, I'm getting a box together with sleepytime tea, bubble baths and other snacks and things that she will hopefully like.  I thought maybe she needs some time to kind of relax, and take care of herself too.

Excellant Idea!  I sent her a card with my secret bathtime recipe.  I would have much prefered to send her the essential oils but this is a tight paycheck for me and we are footing the bill for the trips to Dr.s for SD.  When my hubby broke his neck this bathtime recipe was shared with me and it was basically what got me thru the next couple of months...no more like years, I highly reccommend it.

Harley you naughty little weiner dog, dont be scarein Tina like that anymore!!!  We are becoming very fond of you and we dont want any harm to come.   You must stop and think about Agnes too, she cant keep up with you, so you need to watch over her!

We are supposed to have sunshine and 49 degrees today....in the 50's tomorrow, whohooo!  Bring on the spring!  I will try to send you some sunshine Ms Deb.  Hope you are feeling better soon.
