Mindless Chatter Saturday

    Mindless Chatter Saturday

Up late, so why not :)

Think I'll bathe a dog or two later today. Aesop needs it the most, but I'm not sure I'm up for fuzzy tumbleweeds of hair all over when I dry him. So, we shall see how the day progresses.

Also need to pick up supplies for the rats' mix. They just finished the last of their container of food. The last batch lasted two months, so not bad :) Tinea (the older girl from a pet store) still bites. Will have to pick up some gloves to work with her as I value my digits. If she continues to bite, we're contemplating a spay. Darned hormonal rodents.

    It's snowing...again, dagnabit.

If you have time Kord needs a bath...interested?

Going to be working on the quilt all day, need to get it done so I can start another! I know, im obsessed, or is that posessed?

    Thinking healing thoughts for Charlie.

GET YOU BUTT HOME vibes for Maeya(?) Move it girl.

Spring vibes for the rest of us.

Off soon to take Harry to the vet for his annual checkup.  Cross your fingers everyone that he behaves, lol.  He tends to get very nervous at the vet, but the folks there are great and very patient with him.

Afterwards we'll get to spend the afternoon moving stuff to our new office space.  Found out yesterday when I went to meet the gas guy there that our new nextdoor neighbors shoot commercials and music videos in their warehouse.  Not only was loud rap (ugh) music coming right through the walls, but they had so many people there almost all the parking spaces were taken.  We might have to have a little conversation about that with our new neighbors once we're in on Monday.  They can't take up all the danged spaces like that!! Angry

Harry, you behave nicely at the vet! *points finger*

The goals for this weekend are: laundry, sar training for neiko, card shop (so many cards to buy), taxes and fix snow blower. I'm not really feeling the last 2 items though. I did finally get stuck in my driveway last night. That wasn't fun. I'm just amazed at how much snow we have. Winter hit us really late this year.

Yay for feb being almost over! We have hit the home stretch folks! Feb is the hardest month imo. The 10 day forcast has us up to 40 degrees! Wohooo. Thatll be great. It will be so nice to do sar training in decent weather again.

We found a lump on Hailie last night and we are so worried, she is going to the Vet now.  It is a large lump on the inside top of her thigh!  It the size of a golfball and moves around but feels kind of solid.  I can't beleive its been there long because Hailie is a dog who is touched and rubed and scratched always we would have noticed I think.  Please good vibes for Hailie we are so scared!

Snowboarding for DS today and my MIL, SIL are coming to watch and then take us to dinner for our anniversay so we have a busy day.

The sun is shinning and starting to melt the 27" of snow - thank godness!

Good thoughts to Hailie! The lump could very well be a benign cyst or a fat deposit, which would not be serious, so don't panic!

    +1 Yes

Someone please remind me that I can't afford a two week long Belize/Mexico honeymoon.

My goals for the day are laundry and laundry and laundry.  I also have to clean the basement and possibly make some blueberry muffins.  I made these blueberry muffins from scratch last week and they were delicious.  I can't believe anyone makes muffins from those packages at the grocery store.  They are so easy to make from scratch!

....recipe?  Then I'll just have to try :)

Apparently I am one of the few that thinks putting a chair in a public street parking spot is ridiculous. I don't care if you shoveled it out two weeks ago, or if it's in front of your house.  You don't own the street, and you are being rude!  Sigh....  people take it to the extreme.  There was also a shooting over a "reserved" spot.

Nikon needs one too, we worked on a sebaceous cyst last night, nasty.

Kenya has a date in two hours...

Gosh, I seriously think Rupert has had one bath in the last two years. He's so low maintenance. He swims a lot in the summer, his hair is so short it really doesn't get dirty, and he naturally smells yummy!

Willa was up at five again today. I got her back down, then she was up a half hour later. Got her back down again, then up just before six. DH got up with her, then I got up at seven and he went back to bed. I was reading books to her before nap time, and she was falling asleep in my lap! That hasn't happened in a long time. She was up at six yesterday morning too, and only took a half hour nap. I'm thinking/hoping today she takes a good long nap. *crosses fingers*

Still no activity on the labor front...

Darn it! Come on Sonja, we want to welcome you into the real world. I can't say I blame you though. It's probably pretty comfy inside Jan's tummy.

Good thoughts for Hallie. I'm going with it being a benign cyst. I hope I'm right.

OMG - I was blown away by the new sectional when I got home yesterday. It's way better than I imagined and it actually makes the room look larger than it did with just a sofa in there. I don't understand how it worked out that way, but I'm so glad it did. This is in our formal living room/dining room and now DH likes the new furniture in there so much he's trying to devise a plan to put a big screen tv in there. Um....I don't think so.  We now finally have a place where can have more than 2 people over and they won't have to sit on the floor. Yay!!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's very lax in this department. Embarrassed Max is the same way ... short hair, low maintenance and he doesn't get the opportunity to roll in disgusting stuff. He does jump in and out of the hose water when the pool cleaners are here playing with him, so at least he gets wet once a week.  I've just been reading about the 8.8 earthquake in Chile on the comcast home page and how every nation bordering the Pacific Ocean is under a tsunami warning. My gosh! That's like a quarter of the planet.  The islands like Hawaii and Guam must really be gearing up.  It's just mind boggling how something that lasts for maybe a minute or less can wreak such havoc.  Apparently earlier this week two giant ice bergs, each about the size of Rhode Island, have broken off from somewhere and are floating around loose.  I'm sure that's going to be "not so good" for something. And here I sit, complaining about rain and a temp of 53. I think I have tortillas, shredded chicken and pepper jack cheese in the fridge.  I'm going to make myself a quesadilla and look for something really important whine about.

Yay!  That must make you happy.

We almost bought a sectional at costco the other day... ugh, just what I don't need to be buying on impulse!  But it was cute, good color, very comfy, and I trust Costco.  Our furniture just isn't that old and is perfectly fine, but I wanted to be able to have more seating in that room.  $700 wasn't a bad price either, I didn't think, for a sectional that could seat 6 or 7 people, probably.  Eventually....

They had some really nice, inexpensive chairs at IKEA I wanted for that room too, but we can't fit a sofa and chairs so that bummed me out too.  So for now, there still isn't much seating in those rooms!

Good thoughts for Hallie as well, I must have missed that one earlier.

Count me in too Big Smile Sadie will be five in April and she's only had probably, four baths in her lifetime.  They were all because she rolled in something disgusting.  Timmy is two and has had one bath.  That's part of the reason we decided on a beagle and rottweiler, aside from sheet adorableness.  I like low maintenance.   A lot.  They don't stink and they swim a ton in the summer, so it all seems to work out.
