Need some 'go home' vibes, please! (update, HE'S HOME!)

One of my foster parents called me tonight - one of her babies got out of the yard :(

He's just a 9 week old lab mix pup... poor guy must be so scared! She's covering the area with flyers, but we could use some strong 'go home' vibes for little Johnny, please! (yes, he IS chipped! thankfully I got to this litter last week!)

it's so hard with puppies. People like to keep what does not belong to them...grrr.

I hope someone does the right thing by him and returns him if he's with someone...or he better get his wee puppy buns back home if he's wandering!

Go home little Johnny....where it is safe and warm!

And that's what we're so worried about, Gina. He's adorable... I'm sure at a quick glance, someone would think he's a purebred chocolate lab pup..yippee, free puppy.

No word yet... I've hit up all the emergency clinics, all the other shelters (waiting on call backs from last night...Confused) And I did call the chip company to report him missing, so no one can try to change information or anything.

My phone rang earlier this morning... but it was just the SPCA saying they didn't pick anything up over night, and that the lost and found desk would call for my report later... Sad

She lives in a very quiet area (think - horses across the street) So she thinks either a neighbor grabbed him, or someone got lost in the area, saw him, and grabbed him. it's a dead end street....

Johnny, go home!  Poor little guy.

Keep an eye on CL. Common here at least to "sell" found dogs to other ASAP and that would not, be good. The chip is GREAT...then even if for some reason someone does keep the tyke...they may decide later...even months from now he is too much and turn him in and he will be a known quantity.

I wish people would take animals to shelters within a day or two, when found. Keeping a found dog in your yard for days and weeks, while maybe putting up FOUND flyer or two really does not do a whole lot, imo to help things along. Esp if you live a distance from where you find the dog...and pick it up to "rescue it" while driving around...
