That dobe is beautiful! I hope she wins.

The Britany is my second fav

Ive watched the whole show so far and I keep noticing that a lot of the dogs seem to freak out when being examined. The Am Staff looked terrified when the lady was behind her. Same with a few of the smaller terriers.
Maybe its just me cause Im not in the "show dog world" but it seemed like many of the handlers kept jerking the leash and kept it really tight the whole time. I mean, I know theyre trying to keep the dogs head up but most of them had slip collars on and the poor dogs looked like they were being strangled.

part of the way that the leads are handled is to keep the lines on the dog as smooth as possible. Lead positioning can make a world of difference in a dog's appearence.

Damn, I am not liking scotties tonight :(

That was a beautiful Scottie, though. Did y'all SEE the way she moved??? *drool*

Damn, was hoping for the Dobe to win. That scotty was cute though. In choice of who I was hoping to win was the Dobe, Britanny, Puli and French.

I missed who won the Terrier group but as soon as I saw the Scottie come in the BIS ring I knew she would win. I havent seen a show on TV where she hasnt won.

My favorite was the Dobie and Whippet.

i dunno, i was watching the Neo Mastiff best in breed part online and noticed several of the handlers snatching the leashes. i'm sure it was to keep the dogs in the proper line (some looked like they wanted to walk into the middle of the ring) but i had to laugh at one part. the guy's dog was trotting just fine but he snatched the leash anyway... and the look that dog gave him would have scared the pants off anyone with even a tiny bit of common sense lol but the handler didnt see it. just as well i suppose Big Smile

That really was a beautiful scottie.

I always root for the breeds I own and the breeds I would like to own, and when it comes down to the end I root for whoever I like. I was rooting for CJ.

Hey, did anybody see PETA crash Westminster?? I missed it, but they just played it on the news. I guess they held up signs that said "Mutts Rule" and "Breeders kill shelter dogs chances".

You didn't get to see much on TV--I saw a sign for a split second (couldn't read it) and you could hear that something was going on in the audience--the audience noise definitely changed. You could also hear a producer (or the judge? ring steward?) saying "ignore that" in the background...I wondered what is was--guessed it was PETA.

I thought I heard screaming of some sort during the Working Group.  I think it was then.  I thought it was either human or some sort of insane dog disagreement.  PeTA.... GAH!

CJ is a stunning girl.  She definitely took my breath away.
