Is it my TV or are the labrador retrievers getting really chunky?

I was thinking it too. But then Labs always look fat to me.

I love the English Setter and the Flat Coated Retriever so far. And yes Im an Irish Setter lover. Dont like the white on the IS though.

I love the English springer and the Welch springer, too. (I'm an English springer fan--esp. black and whites!)

ETA: I love that the Welch had its full tail.

 I did notice that and eee I hope the English Setter wins. <3

Pilgrim, Fynn's breeder's special is chunky. I mentioned it once and she got so offended! But I guess the judges dont notice because that dog has won every BOB I've been to with them.

 I had to make Bean FAT to show her. I'd rather see a lean, healthy dog, which is why my next show dog will probably be coated.

Pffft I couldnt make Lillie fat for the life of me. Reason number one why she couldnt show! And I have done what show people have suggested but it never worked.

 Bean got fat enough on frozen Biljac. Of course, as soon as she did,  I had her spayed and put her on a diet, LOL. I'm not very good at the dog show game. She needed to be spayed, anyway. She was having issues, and she is pet quality, by a long shot.

The show/english/bench Labs have been too heavy for a long time. Give me a lean, muscular Lab anyday :)

Me either. I love the dog show part but not the handling myself.

Same went for Lillie. But I was still hanging on to that dream even though I had Fynn! I tried Biljac but it didnt do anything for her. She loved it though. Same as those Satin Balls. 

 bah.... i cant watch it except for online... and i hate watching tv on my computer..

i stopped looking at AKC labs when i started seeing them advertised as "block heads" and every lab i've seen in the books for the last ..... i guess 14 years now.... have all looked like solid black rotties..... 

one of my old landlords had a field lab that was absolutely beee-yootiful.... and rock solid temperament. though to be honest, every lab i've seen in this forum looks great.

I can't find it anywhere online to watch :( (aside from the individual breed competitions)

 I'm hoping the dobe will win best in show!
