zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Sleep zzzzzzzzzzzzzz  I'm still half asleep, despite the coffee Coffee

PS, my sister did *not* know about the heated steering wheel.  I'm a genius.

Note to my relatives....Do not ask for my opinion on something if you don't really care what my answer is.  And, don't tell me you're making a decision based on what you *think* is best for me, and then ignore me when I tell you otherwise.  If you want something done a certain way, just come out and say it and don't disguise it as if you really care what I think about it.

    That is all.

22 days without a coffee for me!!!  The first week was hell but now it's pretty good!  I think I'm feeling much more awake during the days and the concentration is up some as well.  I'm also finding my sleep is deeper.  I'm not sure if it's the lack of caffeine or the veggie diet I'm on.  Been drinking more tea now though.  Luvs me a good cup of tea.

I saw a commercial on TV for LOST!!!!!!!!  LOVE THAT SHOW!

OH.....did I say the sun is shining!!!  :)  Too bad I couldn't send some of our sun to those getting the rain.  Hope all is well there.

I go thru spurts.  Sometimes I'm fine without it for weeks on end, but yesterday I didn't have any and I FELT it.  I figured today if I consumed some I would wake up.  Getting there.

Meanwhile, I forgot to mention that I'm back to train riding today (sister is home)  So on the ride down there was something about the sunlight that lit the Rockies in such a pretty way, with powder blue skies behind - really nice to see.  On the other side of the rails, though, we passed a line of chainlink fencing where someone had stuffed giant stuffed teddy bear into the top part of a fence and pinned one arm into the barbed wire top, while the other was up and waving to all of us train passengers.  I laughed out loud.  I mean, who doesn't want to start their day with the unexpected friendly stuffed bear waving hello?!?

I am working right now on two projects. Ok, three, but these two are for the same thing. I need to make a decision about which one is going to be actual number one, and which one I will save for later. In large part this is going to depend on my data this weekend. I guess though I should finish the parts I can of both, because I will need to do that anyway. Then, if I have these both ready to go, all I have to do is put in the data and make my graphs Sunday night. Ok, going to work now.

It's raining again.  There was a little break this a.m. but it started again around 10 a.m. We're supposed to get a break over the weekend and then more next week.  The Terminix dude is coming  between 1 and 3 p.m. to do the yearly free termite inspection so I suppose I should clear out the hall closet so he can lift up the trap door in the floor and get down under the house. I think I'll snoop through the pantry and see if I can find a can of yummy soup to heat up for lunch.

Paige: I'd have LOL'd at the waving teddy bear!

I'm feeling kind of crappy today - slight nausea, tired.  No, not preggers.  Former b/f and I hadn't cooked in so long, there's no chance.  And I was completely faithful.

Anyway, I feel like I might be coming down with another cold.  Either that or Auntie Em is dropping by early.  Blech.

Must get back to this corporate Amex statement.  Have a nice weekend, everyone!

     Psych!

Walked Bugsy 1.5 miles this morning and just did another .5.

That was the longest single walk we have had post op and a total of 2 miles!!

    Incredible

    that's all

Way to go Bugsy...you are as strong as you look!

I'm making a Beef Stew in the crock pot....and the smell is devine!

I'm off the clock in 5 minutes!  Wheee

    Yay for Bugsy!!

Tina - I hope you're not getting sick, especially not with a weekend ahead of you.

Beef stew sounds yummy. I made split pea soup in the crockpot earlier this week but told DH I didn't want to eat it for dinner again tonight and so he's getting us pizza - yum!

We may need building plans for an ark here if the rain doesn't let up soon. I didn't even want to leave the office at lunch today but that always makes for a looonnngggg day. I did play with my new IPod though and this thing is very cool. You can even take videos with it. That means the next time I'm in the gym and see something crazy, I can shoot a video and show everyone. :)

Cathy -- sometme try making split pea soup with ground beef instead of ham.  Just saute it and add it to the soup and then cook a while longer.  It makes it really satisfying -- it's how MY mother did it when I was growing up and it is my favorite way of having it.  I like split pea soup most any way (except too thick *grin*) -- with buttered toast on the side is awesome too

I survived the week -- David says he's gotta work tomorrow too -- phew, whatta week HE has had, but that leaves me tomorrow to get caught up in the house a bit.  Laundry, here I come!

Hmmm, interesting and worth a try. I'm sure I've used the ham hock before, but this is the first time I've made it and found too much fat in the soup. I cut every visible bit of fat off the actual ham chunks before I put those in there but I didn't want to clean the bone so much that nothing was left on it. I may just omit the bone next time. I made Marie Callendar's cornbread and I thought it was delish. I could've made a meal on that alone.

DH works all weekend, so I too will be tackling the house chores and laundry. With the crummy weather that we're having, I'm a happy camper just to hang out at home anyway.

People must not be very mindless today. There's only 2 pages of chatter!

So life was feeling pretty good this morning but as the day went on I got more and more annoyed. I'm like pms-y or something. That in itself is annoying!

Abbie ate through my heating pad chord over night. While it was plugged in. Is there anything this dog won't eat?

Blargh!  I hate waiting on people.  I get to go out tonight, and that's good.  A friend of mine made a big deal about doing something after work today.  But she wants to go to her house, have a bonfire, and a few drinks.  The time and place were set by her.  That's fine.  They work for me.  However, she and I both get off at 5.  I made sure I had all my stuff ready to go before work so I could just come home, grab and go.  Thought it would be courteous.  However, now she is at her work shop, having a few beer with her coworkers, and is in no hurry, because she is "content" where she is.  She says maybe an hour or two?  Its already after 6.  Is it wrong of me to be annoyed?  I only get so many opportunities to go out.  And I hate waiting!  If she hadn't been so adament about going to her place, I could have just had everyone over here, but now everyone has to wait on her.  Grrrrr....
