Karen, I'm sorry to hear that Bugsy is having issues.  Fingers crossed that it isn't something major.

Candace, I think that Kim has a brother in California, so maybe she's there visiting him?  Can you send me some french toast?  Please?

Amy, I've been thinking....we could split the cost of flying Glenda down to cook for us.  That might work well for both of us...

I took the dogs to PetSmart this morning.  All of them.  It was an interesting experience, to say the least.  Both Bev & Bru keyed in on a man that they didn't like.  Bru does that from time to time, but it rarely happens with Bev, so they took a little more of my focus than I had expected.  Everything went really well, except for one minor incident.  I was stopped looking at something, & everyone was sitting around me.  Cher had hung back a little & was, apparently, trying to make friends with a guy standing next to us.  I'm assuming that he didn't give her the attention that she thought that she deserved because she nose punched him in the crotch in order to get his attention.  As he crumpled to the ground, Shooter, Angel, & Brinxx tried to go check on him.  I apologized profusely.  It was really kind of embarrassing.

I found a lump on Bevo's chest this morning.  It wasn't there during his bath on Wednesday, so I'm worried about it.  I'll have it checked tomorrow.  I'm hoping that it's some kind of sting or bite even though it doesn't really look like one.

That definitely sounds like a plan, but I think we ought to let it warm up some first. A happy cook is a productive cook! Stick out tongue

I find this hilariously funny though! Love the visual. ROFL Hope Bevo's lump is nothing. Who knows, maybe Cher nose punched him?

Hope Bugsy's just sore and nothing else. Good vibes for you both!

The elf's appetite returned at about midnight last night. Yay! She happily ate a good sized portion of the canned venison Blue I'd picked up for her to try.  And she's much perkier today and even did her 'feed the poor, starving Elf I have never eaten, woe' begging routine.

I need to buy dog food..they're out of dry. I fed them canned last night, but I do not want to deal with the colon outbreak Aesop would have if I continued to do so.

I got a neeew laptop so I'm pretty happy about that, just trying to get used to the keys.

All house cleaning/laundry was done yesterday so today is relaxing, and then cooking dinner.

We are having spaghetti and meatballs for dinner, just with ragu sauce, but then \i add in garlic, onion and yellow and orange peppers into it, \derek loooooooves it!

Amanda, I hope the lump is nothing.  Good vibes for Bevo.  Poor petsmart man, he's learned a little dobespeak. lol

    New laptop, how cool!

Candace, I'm don't know who could fill you in on Kim and the dogs, maybe Kim will update.  I hope Zeeva is ok.  I know Susan has been very worried since she was going to adopt Zeeva.

    • Gold Top Dog

Amanda, I'll send you anything you want...just make sure you take care of that boy...lumps scare me.

Well, I hope everything is ok with Kim and the pups.  I'm sure she wouldn't hold out on us like this without a very good reason, Susan especially.  *fingers crossed*

I'm trying to do my timer thing today, but the house is beyond repair I fear.  Time to move...

Oh!  How's this for gross?  I cleaned out my fridge and when I pulled out the fruit drawer to wash some stuff out of it, there was dog hair underneath...Oi!  How Embarrassing!

Ha! Welcome to the land of German Shedders..er, I mean German Shepherds. Though I have found no hair clumps under fruit drawers I did find a seasoning meat bone under my pillow once. I helped it along my sleeping on it all night.

    Just want to say:

If you know that the building you live in is dog friendly, and you know a 64 pounder lives on your floor, DO NOT SCREAM WHEN THE ELEVATOR DOOR OPENS TO MY DOG POLITELY SITTING!!  These people drive me bonkers!

    Carry on...

Maggiesmom, be glad you have an innocent Golden.

I should be writing a paper right now and I am simply not interested in doing it. Ugh.  How does one find the motivation to complete 8 years of school?  Cita??  How do you do it?

    • Gold Top Dog

Bwahaha, ask me again in 4 years Stick out tongue

Good luck, Paige :) I find sometimes that procrastination and the resulting utter panic can be good motivators! Wink

Hope everyone is doing well, including the poor guy who got Cher-ed in the gonads!

Paige, set a timer for 15 minutes and vow to put the paper away in 15 minutes.  Then set it for another hour.  At the end of the hour, give yourself another 15 minutes to work on it.  But when the timer goes off, PUT IT AWAY.  You can do anything for 15 minutes...at least that's what flylady says....

You could up the time if you want.  But breaking it into manageable sized chunks of time is the idea.

Maybe you just need a change in location.  I used to find this extremely helpfull when I'd get bored or stuck with a paper or report.  Head for the library or studyhall maybe?  A different room in the house?  Computer labs?

Yup...if not you'll get burned out too fast....just try not to stop in the middle of something.  Especially if you have a good train of thought going.

    Just finished my arabic homework!

I think you could find hair in just about every nook and cranny of this house and I clean often. There's just no avoiding it when you have 2 hairy dogs or if there is, I haven't figured it out.

I took a shower and managed to gouge my shin when I was shaving my legs. I've nicked myself many times over the years but this one was bad and hurt like heck. When I finished my shower, it was a real challenge to keep the blood from getting everywhere until I could get a couple of bandaids on the cut. I went to the store and bought new, different razors this afternoon.

    LOL, Cher you are hilarious!

I got some errands done today.  They took MUCH longer than they should have though.  Ah well.

Of course, while doing errands, I picked up another toy for the dogs (to add to their hundreds).  It's a ball that talks when the dogs roll it.  So far River is the only one brave enough to mess with it.  :-D
