Callie, I'm so sorry I haven't seen this until now!  ((((HUGE hugs)))) to you, David, and the kiddos.

I'm so sad to hear about Miss Kee, but I am glad it was a peaceful crossing.

I can just imagine her sweet face right now as she's so happy at the Bridge playing with her buddies.

    Run free, sweet girl.

    Broken Heart

Oddly enough, there were several small hawks overhead at various times of the day, today (don't ask, but suffice to say that "messengers" about covers it).  I think that someone was trying to send me a sign that she had arrived and they had done as I asked to make Miss Kee comfy and help her find her friends - and I am absolutely sure that an almost Sheltie was extremely glad to know that promises are kept.

I'm so sorry, Callie!  I wish I had seen this sooner.

I can't help but smile a little thinking she's met up with Foxy and the others and is feeling good again.

She couldn't have asked for anything more with you and David and your gang, Callie.

Truly - my little musings were very comforting today -- Seeing the MOstlie Sheltie walking along with Ms Kee along the River of Life ... pointing out friends (Mike and Dancer there, but Mike's a smart man and I was just imagining him completely enjoying this little reunion of Foxy and Kee ... cos I'll bet Mike knows 'em all well enough by now to see the "change" from Foxy the Anxious with the pacing liddle feets into Foxy the Escort!!

For the longest time I thot it was such a shame that they only had 3 months together here -- but I realized today that it was simply the Alpha of all Alphas organizing things so that Kee got here **in time** to meet Foxy before HE had to cross The Bridge.  Then Kee had 3 years to get mentally happy and balanced so that when they reunited they could spend their forever in sweet communion.  How could you ask for better than that.  And Mike knows what that's like.

But it was just one more touch today to make me feel better and know how sweet that little reunion must have been ... and the stories she'd tell Foxy about all the kids *she* got to know (with Muffin the Intrepid hanging on every word there!) at GKTW.

I nearly swamped myself tonight -- came in and tried to "normalize" the kitchen (tossing lactated Ringer's, putting away dog bath supplies, etc.) but just being thankful again that it was a peaceful path for her and now they're both enjoying their days together waiting for us.  Just isn't a nicer mental image I could have found.

Just isn't a nicer mental image I could have found.

I know just what you mean.  Now, instead of the lactated Ringer's, I have the mental image of Miss Dancer in the prime of life following her handsome dad around on Mother Earth the way she should look.  Now Miss Kee and Foxy share in the beauty of that landscape in the spirit land, and I know that we will be welcomed with the most loving caresses and doggy smooches when we arrive, too.  Thank you for all the mental images you have given us over the years - we do know your dogs from those images, and will thus have a wider family in the next world.  <<>>

I am so sorry for your loss, I know how hard it is for you.  Miss Kee will be a lovely little companion at the bridge for my little April I know though.  I'm sure April will be so glad to see her, they are about the same size *S*  God bless you and your hubby, and hugs for both of you.  My tears are falling too.

Run free, Kee Shu... If Cherokee's not as...defensive over there, go find her... she'll think it's pretty cool to hear someone else has Kee in their name....she got a lot of 'KeeKee' in her younger days.

Callie, I pray for comfort and strength for you, your husband, and your canine family.  I am thankful that Kee's passing was peaceful. How wonderful that Kee was loved and so greatly cared for in your home!  Each furbaby has a claim to part of our heart.  Memories are cherished and bring tears, smiles, and laughter.  Life just wouldn't be complete without them.

Oh dear, HOW did I miss this?  I have tears in  my eyes, but am glad Miss Kee is now pain free and will have a perpetually full bowl.

Kee, look for a big, gruff man with a 3rd grade education and his big Lab, Jay.  A tiny lady will be with them.  They are my "aunt" Hazel and "uncle" Jim. They are relatives by love, not by blood and they are good peoples. They will help you find your way along the path and Hazel can help you get introduced to the others.

Kee, I know you miss Mom and Dad and your other family, but you will now have an even BIGGER family with kids you have met before.  They will recognize you and say, "It's Miss Kee! I KNEW she'd find me here!"

    RIP, sweet baby. Sniffle...

It's one of the things that keeps us going to Give Kids the World -- when Kee finds out there are ***BABIES*** up there trust me -- she's gonna volunteer to be in the nursery!!  But I often think as many of our dogs have been at GKTW how often they are ones who get "called to the Bridge" when one of those kids or elderly folks comes over.

It honestly helps so much to envision this -- and to know she's happy and all is well.
