Ummm, no.  A cold Florida is NOT a better FL.  It's two against one!

I spent about 5 hours cleaning the mold and yuck off the house in the back.  And the front wall of the garage, and the deck and the secondary deck and the boardwalk......I JUST did the front of the house mid-December and it doesn't look like it's been touched.  December was an incredibly WET and gloomy month, so I'm sure hoping thats what that was all about and this isn't going to become a trend.

My laundry is done too.  Including going to the laundramat to DRY five loads.

Glenda where do you find the engery??  It is taken me all day to fold the 6 loads of laundry I washed yesterday and I did make a quick spin to the store and worked on DS book report, other than that I have no energy or desire..   Angry  What is your secret? Huh?

Bevo just figured out his Everlasting Fun Ball, which was the last interactive toy that he hasn't figured out.  Sadly, it took DH & I almost three minutes to get the oversized treat in the ball.  I handed it to Bev, & he promptly shoved his entire lower jaw into the ball, & pulled out the entire treat...WHOLE. Indifferent  I guess that I'm going to have to break down & buy a Nina Ottosson puzzle for him.

I got lots accomplished today.  I finished off the last 3 loads of laundry, bathed Angel, & Schatzi, & finished putting the last of my grandparents photos into the last 4 photo albums.  Dh handled changing sheets, vaccuming the floors, dinner, & bringing in more firewood for the fireplace.  I think that we are done for the day!

Is it too late to hire a maid to finish cleaning for me???

Bathroom is all scrubbed down. I have started on the dining room but my god, I have stuff piled in there since before xmas: papers, bags o stuff, tags, cards, xmas gifts, etc. The good news is that I can finally see the table underneath. Oy.

'my dog' just shredded DH's down vest - right in front of us - grabbed it and within an instant there were feathers, what a day  Crying

For the record this is the first item of clothing that he destroyed age 4 and about 4 mos - in fairness to him it is duck down in there and we do know how he likes his water fowl.

Dawn I might send it to you for repair...................

Well, it was scrub mold or write PSA's for the station and get the petty cash, payroll, etc, closed out for the year AND write up the Quarterly Report for 4th quarter and file the EEOC end of year hiring report.

What can I say?  The sun was at least shining outside!

However, I feel like I've been unplugged now.  I took all the RV dishes back OUT to the RV, post two hot water, pot scrubber, heated dry cycles in the dishwasher....mice had gotten in again.....cleaned and sterilized all the cupboards and drawers, put all the dishes and STUFF in plastic bags and sealed them up, put everything away, cleaned the counters of mice turds.....as long as I keep moving, I'm fine.  However, if I slow down, or heaven forbid, stop, that's all she wrote!

David and I both slept majorly late today -- we're both literally trying to get rested a bit this weekend.

So I've spent the rest of the day putting up meds for the 3 dogs and making a ton of dog food.

My squeal of the weekend -- I "found" a friend.  He was one of my first internet friends who was very good to me back during my divorce (it was actually thru Dwaine that I met David online).  We'd lost touch with him for a long long time.  I'm tickled -- he's like a son to me and it's wonderful to have located him.

On the "ugh" side -- I've got a ganglion cyst that has formed at the base of my index finger (yeah *sigh* RIGHT hand) -- so I'm going to have to have it removed.  I've already had surgery there once and this one is just as danged painful as the first one.  I get ganglions all the time and normally I can just rupture the darned things but in this particular spot if I tried that it would be painful beyond belief.  Just touching the darned thing brings me to my knees.

Owie!  Sending you good vibes for getting it off.  That's neat that you found your friend again.  :)

Callie - I had a ganglion cyst on my wrist many years ago and I can remember if I just bumped it on something, the pain was excruciating. I hope you can get yours removed without too much trouble.

We watched Paranormal Activity this afternoon. If you've not seen it, I recommend it. DH and I were both thinking "this is hokey" for the first 5-10 min's and then it just seemed to suck us in. I told DH I'd probably have nightmares tonight.

I cooked a huge ham yesterday and froze a bunch of it for pea soup, but there's still a ton left. I think we'll munch on it tonight and tomorrow night and then I'll freeze the rest. I don't mind leftovers but I can only handle eating the same thing for 3 days max.

I haven't quite caught up on what everyone's been doing all weekend yet.  I sure hope everyone had an awesome New Years!  I drank waaay too much Thursday night, and Friday felt like complete crap.  I didn't leave the couch all day.

Saturday I was much more productive.  Took down all the Christmas decorations, and now my house looks empty.

Today I've mostly been relaxing, but also doing a lot of laundry.  I really am not looking forward to going to work tomorrow, because I have to start working on year end, and I have no clue what I'm doing, lol.

And, ummm, when did Georgia turn into the frozen tundra?  It was 18 degrees today with the wind chill.  Surprise  I'm just really glad BF and I got the mulch put down around all our new plants last week, or else by now they'd certainly be popping out of the frozen ground!

A friend had one on his wrist, and they had to reconstruct the entire joint.  It was 3-4 weeks in a cast, and a few more weeks before he could really do much, or type, but seems to be getting much better now.  He'd had it for a while before it got too painful, but apparently they neglected to inform him of just how much down time was going to be required (although, I think he should have known when they said "joint reconstruction"!)  Hope you can get it taken care of without too many incidents.

I've been really, really lazy most of the past two weeks.  We travelled for the holidays, but still had 9-10 days here, and I think I got maybe 20%
of my to-do list done.  the easy 20%.  Sigh.  Back to work tomorrow, and classes... but maybe I'll be more motivated then to finish these last few things.

So, my uncle and nephew came in on New Year's Eve which was a nice suprise.  It kept me from getting alot of housework done, so I'll lament that later this week.  But, it was good to see them both.

I rented District 9 this week, and I liked it.

I also welcomed two small new caged additions, and I'll try to get photos and give them a proper introduction later this week.

Back to work this week, nooooo!  I, too, was off since Christmas, and it's been SO nice.  I don't wanna go back to work.

    OK, I'm feeling virtuous.

I got the Quarterly report done and wrote the danged PSA's.  Now I'm gonna take a glass of wine and go soak in a bubble bath!

Just found out that my grandpa had an incident on Wednesday.

Apparently, he was really cold Wednesday night, so he went to bed.  In the middle of the night, he got up and said "I need to use the bathroom.  Where is it?" so my grandmother took him to the bathroom and he kept saying "I have to take care of the children."  she kept telling him "the children are fine. Go to bed."  he went back to bed and got up 2 hours later saying "I have to go to the bathroom. Don't worry. I'll find it." and tried to go to the bathroom in the dresser.  She put him back to bed and went to sleep.  He kept going through periods of shivering and fever. The next morning grandma said everything was fine...at no time did she call 911 or the doctor....she said that he said he didn't need a doctor...but, he also tried to pee in the dresser.  When my mom asked her if he was going to see a doctor, my grandma said "no, he's ok.  He doesn't need to see a doctor."  My mom is making her call the doctor tomorrow morning, and is going to take off work and go up there if she doesn't, but, I'm so worried.  The same thing happened 2 months ago, and he has had 2 brothers die from a stroke....one was getting into his car to go to the store and died right there on his driveway.  Please send my grandpa heathy vibes.  He's my only grandpa left.
