Mindless chat sun

I fianlly got out of bed today.. felt good to sleep all morning and now I have to tackle all my laundry that has been piled up.  My neck feels better today Yay!

Went to see Avatar last night AWESOME MOVIE!!  go see it everyone you won't be disappointed! 

It is blustery cold and windy today - I will not be going out for anything!  burr....  Maybe I will defrost the roast beast and cook it up, its one of those days.   Cody goes back to school tomorrow finally after a week and a half of vacation to Jamacia and another for Xmas vacation I think he is ready and so am I but first we have to finish his book report on sea creatures.

Ugh..I've put off my to do list left by my loving fiance for long enough...today, I shall clean the rat cage, bathe said urine marinated rats, clean the bathroom, sweep the floors, and mop the floors, then, tomorrow, laundry...eesh..why is it so hard to get started?

Guess it's my turn for aches and pains!!  The neck is killing and sending a nice bunch of pain up to the head.  Blech.

Mostly cloudy here today....the sun comes and goes, and our high is only in the 40's today.  Tonights low is 22.  Yes, I know that sounds wonderful to lots of folks, however, I didn't think when I moved to FL that it was going to be so blasted COLD here.  I cooked all summer, now I'm being frozen to death!

I need to put the christmas decorations away too. Kind of sad though. I'm loving the lights in my living room this year.

I am still sleepy.  Bevo, Brutus, & DH had a minor incident last night.  I went to  bed before DH got home.  Unfortunately, without thinking, I closed the bedroom door.  Bevo has always been leary of people walking into the bedroom after the lights are off.  You could say that he doesn't allow them inside if the lights are off & door is closed.  Poor DH got home last night, made it into the house with no issues, & then was stopped by dogs as he tried to enter the bedroom.  The barking, & growling from the boys, & the yelling of DH woke me.  When I flipped the lamp on, I found DH standing about 3 steps inside the bedroom with Brutus blocking him from getting back to the door, & Bevo blocking his forward progress.  When they saw who was standing there, Bru went into nub wags, snorts, & a kidney bean dance.  Bev just snorted at him & came back to bed.  I have got to get better about leaving the door open.

The kids come home today from a week at their grandma's.  I can't wait to get them back!

 I'm there.  I am totally ready to start the housework.  Or I was until I got sucked into the tractor beam emitted by my almight computer. 

Apparently there were two deaths in town yesterday, both people hung themselves.  What a way to ring in the new year.  Neither was a friend of mine, but we had mutual friends.  I feel bad for them.

Fly Lady friends?  Where are you?  Are we starting yet?  Fly Zone is Entrance, Front Porch and Dining room.  I'm not cleaning my porch till spring though.  To do so would be absurdly cold.  

Yes, I'm sure some folks would be wearing a t shirt and probably shorts in this weather!  Me, I'm in thermal stuff.

I took all the Christmas stuff down...most of it.  I left my rosemary.  It's bigger, shaped like a Christmas tree, and I put red balls and bows on it, then some almost transluscent gold ribbon strips with gold bows on top.  I love the way it looks on the front porch and think I'll just let it stay for a couple more weeks.

I got up, fed and watered the fur ball posse, let the dog out, started a load of clothes, folded the towels in the dryer, cleaned the bathroom, washed down all the appliances and cleaned off the kitchen table, did the 3 dishes in the sink, swept my kitchen floor, vacuumed the bedroom and living room floors, made the bed, cleaned off the back porch, cleaned out the rabbit cage, moved the rabbit from under the window to further inside away from drafts (he is  the back porch early warning system) and ate breakfast and then pressed builds 3 and 4 for the quilt.

Oh and Glenda, it is currently 10 degree's and the wind chill makes it 0. This keeps up and I am going to have to make Kord a coat for outside, I wonder how he feels about blue flowers?

What is WITH this weather??  Good gosh, we are in the SOUTH!!

I've been VERY lazy this morning.  Didn't get up until almost 8 and have absolutely just been slacking all morning.  Haven't even gotten dressed yet.  My thermal pants are much warmer than the jeans will be, and I've got stuff to do that I'd rather NOT do today.  So I'm avoiding!

 Its -43 with the windchill hree.  Which translates roughly the same in F from C, so there, gotcha all beat!  I'd be in a tshirt in FL too, at 43...

Dawn, bring your quilt work and your energy and come visit me!  We aren't nearly as cold and I need a boost of motivation. I do feel like a complete slacker compared to your work ethic today. DH went to the grocery store for me.  I'm hoping he looks at the list. lol  Belle is currently barking at me.  I am currently ignoring her.  I have a few more loads of laundry to finish.  I need to vaccum and clean the bathrooms but have no energy.  This infection has really zapped my energy level to near zero.

Last day of shop shutdown, now I have to git-r-done. At least I have a little time to post.

A friend dropped off deer parts he didn't want to deal with so now I have some butchering to do too. Have to pick up some pork fat and make some sausage... and the pups will have some nice fresh bones. DH is off to pick up some goodies for the game this afternoon.

I may have just broke my dslr camera - pray the piece that came off is from the lens.  I went to the mill near my house and tried out the tripod, let's just say that I underestimated the biting winds and ***CRASH***

I thought I would puke.  The expensive filter on it is smashed onto the lens and then when i took the lens off a piece came out.  I really don't have the cash for this...................
