Candace, brrrrr! I had those temps in college in MA one winter... NOT fun. My definition of "very cold" is when your nose hairs turn into "nosesicles" from the moisture from your breath freezing... I've found anything below 10* F tends to do that... and with windchill.... ughhhh. Stay inside!!!

I ordered Rascal snow boots because they salt so heavily here in our parking lot, and I'm annoyed because they apparently arrived at the town 20 mins from us on Jan. 30, and left that town on Jan. 31, but I have yet to see them. WTF, guys? You driving around in circles or what?

 Well, we've been up and fed and general straightening up since early this morning. The girls all got a good brushing. We dropped Jessica off at her adoption event and went shopping for t-shirt and coat for Tina. DH was using the excuse that it was too cold outside to walk Tina for very long. Well, now she has a nice coat AND a lighter jacket. There's no excuse.

Candace.. I thought we weren't starting flylady till tomorrow???

I just got a call, the adoption event is ending early today. *sigh* Another week she's not being adopted... I keep trying to get a copy of her medical records so she can come hang out during the girls training classes. Why do these things have to be so difficult??

I played good wife this morning, & made DH breakfast in bed.  He was surprised, & so cute when I showed up with food.

I suppose that I shouldn't complain about our cold 47 degreees today.  I can't imagine -43.

It's noon & I haven't changed out of my pjs yet.  I'm not sure that it's worth the effort to change today.

 UGH I will have to wait until tomorrow to take it to the shop - DH wants to go out for a while and I do not want him to know just yet about my little accident.  I put my other lens on it and had a quick look - the other lens doesn't have this piece - oh dear doG let this be something that fell off the lens................. or easy and cheap to fix

Me neither ... it's 1PM here and I just got out of bed... I've got a mean little cold going on :(

I spent all yesterday driving all over three states dropping off broken dogsleds to be fixed in a huge snowstorm, I'm tired! We got nearly two feet of snow! It is so pretty and even the kitten loves it ... he snuck out and frolicked under supervision this morning.

ETA: -43 is too cold to do anything.  I'm staying in.  Got the heat cranked.  Kale's got a friend over and they're keeping the girls entertained.  I might do some baking...except I have no yeast left.  What else can I bake besides bread?

Karen - I truly hope that the camera issue will be easy and inexpensive to take care of. I completely understand how panicked you feel though.

Add me to the ranks of those suffering with an owie neck. I woke up feeling fine and then felt it starting to cramp up while I was blow drying my hair. I took a couple motrin and went to the gym and it felt a little better. I have a thermacare wrap on it now though and that feels great.

I'm very bummed about having to go back to work tomorrow. It's been a really nice break and it's going to be so busy this week. I already checked the calendar for the next holiday and it's Jan 17th :)

I would just like to take this opportunity to remind you that, in cold weather such as this, a nice warm snickerdoodle goes wonderfully with  cappucino.

We went out for breakfast this morning. DH has been off since before Christmas for vacation. I had cataract surgery a week ago tomorrow so he took me to appts. which was a help.  I am getting worried now because my eye is so blurry and I still can not see out of it, should not be like this I don't think.  I go back to eye Dr. on Wed. then will see what is going on.  I'm concerned also because I'm supposed to have the other one done on the llth and know it can not be done with the way the other one is right now. I'd not be able to see much of anything then.  Thanks for letting me vent on that. *S*  DH goes back to work tomorrow and I'll go back to the health club, I can do most everything but swim.  I'll finally get something done here in the house when he goes back to work, don't know what I'll do when he retires and that will be very soon.  Guess I'll just have to re arrange all my schedules. *S*  Way to cold to take poor Bonnie out for any walks today, too cold for her and for me too, the wind was wicked.  it was l4 degrees this morning have no idea what the wind chill was but I wasn't about to walk in it.  She seems to be doing fine anyway, we just play instead.  Guess I'll go take a shower. bye all.
