This morning, Cher was out playing while everyone else was having breakfast

Is Cher the new dog that Karen was talking about? I must've missed the thread about that but congratulations!

Check out the thread in General Chat... it could break your heart, though, so be forewarned...

I watched a new episode of Hoarders AND a new Intervention last night.  Good lord, what a mess!!  The Intervention lady was completely jacked up - as in, certain colors would "make her joints dislocate".... hence why her family had to wear aluminum one Christmas...  ConfusedZip it! When I tuned in, she was in the intervention room, grasping the shirt of some man whom she dragged to the floor and kept screaming to leave the door open.  Then she ran out said door, screaming down the hallway of the hotel, outside into the parking lot with family members, doctors, and camera crew running after her.  She jumps into her car, but her brother blocks the door as people scream "don't let her lock the doors!"  She then climbs out of the sun roof, down the hood of the car, and they end up doing the intervention on the grass outside the hotel - after they send the mother away for making jokes about the situation, and offering her co-dependency treatment.  Yeah - THAT was a banner episode of Intervention.

No wonder I had totally whacked out dreams last night!  Geez!

OMG - no kidding. Aluminum? Really? Shows like that sure do make me appreciate the wacky relatives and friends that I've got.

So, I just caught up on Amanda's new puppy. Hard to feel happy and sad at the same time, but I did when I read thru the whole thread and saw the pictures. That little girl has a good chance at a great life now but it's sad that such a young, sweet dog has had such a crummy start at life.

Then I read about Cherokee and that brought the tears. I know how much Chelsea loved that dog and I can feel her heartbreak. We all know that the pain eases up with time but those first days and weeks can be brutal. I couldn't help but read the post and wonder if maybe I shouldn't get those x-rays of Sassy after all.

Arggh, my granddaughter's 3rd birthday party is this weekend, and Publix didn't have the Cinderella cake she wanted.  Hope she doesn't have a hissy fit at having princesses instead...

Do you have a Winn Dixie?  They have a nice selection......

OK, doors and windows are tightly shut.  Raining cats and dogs here and I surely don't want any more to get in!  This is NOT the worst of it.  Dang near had to swim home from the station and we're supposed to get really NASTY weather in the overnight.  Up to 40 mph winds.  Yikes.

All TX got was a little snow and we're getting THIS as a result???

    • Gold Top Dog

Glenda, if it makes you feel any better, it has been raining here most of the day, & it's COLD!!!  Not exactly the greatest weather to work on housetraining a dobe princess, who thinks that she's too good to get wet. Huh?

Compared to this morning, there is now a very pretty layer of white on the ground! Nothing too drastic, but enough to call it real snow! Yayyy!

We got all our decorating done this evening, everything is feeling Christmasy. And...now I know which areas can still use some more decorations...muahaha. The puppers are being really cute tonight for some reason...must be the season change. They aren't being under foot or busy. Even got some cute photos of them on the photo board...they are acting, though, don't give in to their cute faces.

Cita, the ribs are coming along slowly. Mostly hurting first thing in the morning and in the evenings...not so bad during the afternoon and at least it no longer hurts when I breathe in deeply. Sneezing is still a no-go though. Hopefully by the end of this week it'll be even milder. Keeping fingers crossed anyway!!

Well, actually, no, Amanda.  I hate for anyone else to suffer miserable weather just cuz I am.....

Corky is an absolute riot.  I took here out for a swim, self sacraficing woman that I am (yeah right) and she got in her pool, stretched her neck all the way out and laid her head on her tail feathers with her mouth open!!!  Ahhhhhhhh!  She was thrilled to be swimming in a downpour!  What a goof.  She wasn't sure about wandering around for her hunt and peck session since the ground is already saturated....not supposed to be WET on the grass!

Tonight she let me know that enough was enough and she wanted to come back in the house.  I put her on the grass again since she likes to shake off, flap her wings, etc, and when I wrapped her up in her towel she did a MEGA snuggle.  She loves to be held and is a major snuggler anyway, but this evening she surpassed herself.

I, on the other hand, don't really enjoy being cold and wet.  My rain hat is soaked through.  Sounds like a good night for a bubble bath and a hot toddy.......

Awesome!!  My mom, grandmother, brother, and future SIL saw them last year.  My brother was super-psyched about it, and they all said it was freaking awesome!  My grandmother said "I'm 90 years old and got to go to my first rock concert." LOL!!!!!   I love their music; it's on my ipod. Smile

I'd love to see them, but have chosen to make BF take me to see Cavalia instead.  I thought we'd missed our chance, but they've extended their Atlanta shows through the end of December!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  WOOT!!!  So I told BF that this weekend, we're looking at the schedule, deciding on a day, and buying the tickets.  You wanna talk about outrageous ticket prices...the cheapest ones are $45 I think, and that's for the partially obstructed view!  We'll prolly do the $65 tix.

Yucky weather here too.  Cold, rainy and miserable outside. Muddy dogs when I got home.  DH let them out and they all decided to see who could get the dirtiest in the shortest amount of time. lol   Barb, if you're reading, I posted pic's of the dogs with their goodies! Big Smile

Let me just say... I do not want to be in a wedding, let alone multiple. Apparently, my dad claims, my sister is going to marry her boyfriend... of about 3 weeks. He just moved in to her place. I think, if that is indeed true, that it's not a great idea. The other day, she was going to break up with him if he didn't go back to school. She stayed with one guy over a year, but mostly, she breaks up with people in a few months. She doesn't want anyone who she doesn't think has at least the same earning potential as her, and she is critical of very minor flaws. Not to say I'm not, but there is a reason I don't get into relationships.

So yeah, I don't even know if she'd be doing a big deal, she knows I am in another wedding in July also. But can you say no on principal of you disagree with the marraige? To your sister?

Sure you can, but only as long as you actually oppose the marriage, and not that she decided to have it in the same year as another wedding you're in...hehe.  But I get you.  OTOH, if she is the way you say she is, you likely don't have much to worry about.  Just cause you say you're gonna get married, doesn't mean you actually will.  I was supposed to marry Tyler...and I didn't thank doG!

I just got a call from Old Navy today at work.  They had to call because the address I gave them is not the same as the one my credit card company has...well, duh!  You don't ship to Canada Stupid!  LOL, but I suppose its for the best that they call.  She had me confirm my address so she could confirm it with the CC company and then she asked for yours...lol.  I kinda stopped and there was this big long akward pause.  I was like,"Uh....I'm not sure, I have it written down at home..."  She kinda laughed at me and asked if I could remember the street name and the city.  I at least remembered that much...doh!  So it should be on its way to your house soon!  Can ya let me know when it gets there?  I'm so excited...

Sad I've felt sad all day. I've gone thru exactly what Chelsea's been thru with the cancer and the fast downturn. It's so hard to deal with. I wish I were close enough to give her a hug.
