There are way too many freaky things going on here with people and dogs.  I suggest we all start drinking heavily until we all get our good karma going again.

Has anyone noticed that since I made this suggestion, we started getting good news left and right?

    I'm just saying is all  . . . . . . . . . .

    Ditto!

I am on a sort of vacation for the next two weeks - my boss has gone to Cuba!

Tonight is our friend's birthday, I have to figure out something to do. I think I might get fiance to recruit a couple guys from their work to take him to the strip club. hehehe.

But some thoughts for her strength would be appreciated.

You got it from us.... I will always be grateful for the care that Seacoast Hospice gave my grandfather in the last months of his life, so I hold hospice in high esteem.  I hope your foster mom's dad is supported in love and kindness while in their care.

My only experience with hospice was when my son's dad was terminally ill.  We were no longer married, but I was still somewhat involved with his life because of our son.  Hospice was only there for a week before ex-h died, but I was truly amazed at the scope of the care, even for the family that remained.  I didn't know what to expect, and I was really impressed.  I donate to them in his memory whenever I can.

Years ago my neighbor got a second cat and the cat she had already (who didn't like other cats) decided to move in with me.  And I am so not a cat person. Anyway, I just refused to have anything to do with a litter box.  I didn't know what she was used to, nor did I care.  I shoved her in and out through the doggy door for about a week until she finally figured out that she'd have to come and go the same way as the *gasp* dog.  I don't think she ever had an accident in the house. They've been talking for days about this *big storm* that's on the way, but every day when I look outside I see a blue sky and sunshine. Not that I don't like sun, but we really really do need some rain.

Just saying what...that you already started drinking heavily today? Stick out tongue

I'm waiting impatiently for FedEx to arrive.  They're supposed to be delivering the Keurig I ordered for our office (woot!!), AND the leather cleaner I ordered because some a-hole at a bar decided to spill beer on my camel-colored leather Coach purse.  He came *this close* to getting punched in the face by a girl.  But this cleaner is supposed to work, so...c'mon FedEx!!  Plus, I need more coffee.

    Deb, right you are! LOL

I got permission from the mayor of the little town where our office is located to let my dogs play in the baseball fields during off season.  These are huge and fully fenced.  This park is not used much but there is often someone with unleashed dogs so I don't go there often.  Today I took Twister for a walk during my lunch hour and once again we had to leave because two dogs were running loose and wanted to see if Twister squeaked. lol   I can't wait to bring Rex and Belle for some off leash running and tennis ball play.  The school where we sometimes take them often has people running track or playing soccer so we don't use it much.  This is only fifteen minutes from our house and did I tell you how happy I am? lol

I've got laundry to do, homework to do, classes to sign up for, more cleaning, *sigh*. little to no motivation to do any of it.....

Wow Jackie, you've got quite the pull apparently. Yay for you though. I'm jealous enough that you get to bring your dogs to work and now you get to take them over to a nice place to play at lunch. I'm green with envy.

LOL, not really.  It's not like Deb and all her big wheel buddies. lol This mayor runs the local auto repair shop and hates being mayor because it interferes with his business and his fishing. lol I've known him for years and he is the type who would give you the shirt off his back.  BTW, the only dog who comes to work regularly is Twister.  Rex and Belle stay home mostly.  They get to come to work now and then but not on a regular basis.  They do love to come to work because they get to play with Ruger, the Weim.  It can get a bit wild here with too many dogs!  The dogs at work are the only thing some days that keep me sane. Therapy dogs, yep.

I'm hoping to be able to enjoy that when my boss retires. I have the perfect office for it and the guy who will take over would be fine with it. It's mostly just me in the office anyway. I think Sassy would do really well and I'd certainly enjoy the job more.

Fiance is sick today, so, I have to wait on him hand and foot, as per our verbal "you can quit your job and go back to school full time" contract. On an up note, I scheduled my hair and makeup girl for the reception (better known as "big after wedding party for Nasir's family" as my family is full of haters who are boycotting the event...but, I'm not bitter...naw..not at all)

Heather I'm STILL waiting for my Fedex full of stuff for my dogs and my swap dogs - I am on the edge of my seat - hope yours has arrived.  I don't do patience lol.  Have you noticed that fedex seems to take longer than UPS and sometimes the USPS?  It took them a whole **week** (assuming it arrives today) to get my package from OR to SC!!

FedEx showed up at my house on Sat in a UHaul truck!  The holidays must be upon us already!

    • Gold Top Dog

     really? wow...

I always use UPS....they get my medical orders for work the NEXT DAY. wonderful man, that UPS man is =] he'll even call us when we're closed to let us know we've got a package!
