wow.  I am sending good and safe vibes for all of you with friends/family at Fort Hood!

I saw the worst thing on my way home, as I was almost out of town, there were a bunch of cars stopped on the sides of the road, one car was visably hit, the driver's door was smashed in, I thought, oh dear, how did they manage to do this in daylight on dry roads?  Then I looked closer, a man ran from the other side of the road and kneeled down and was doing what looked like CPR......on a dog!  The dog wasn't moving, from what I could see quickly, it appeared to be a black and white medium sized dog with a sweater on lying on the road.  I feel so bad for it right now.

Good vibes coming for those of you with friends and family at Fort Hood.  Amanda, hope you get news on your brother soon.

I saw an accident the other day, looks like someone flew down an on ramp, not aware that there is a stop sign at the end, and caused a chain reaction of 4 cars, in daylight, dry roads.  Good thoughts for the dog involved, that either it was revived, or that at least it didn't suffer.

He's ok!!!!  Thanks so much for the good thoughts.

    Jackie, any word yet?

Stacy, fingers crossed that the dog is ok.

Oh, Stacey, that just made me well up instantly.... whenever I drive by accidents, I say a little prayer/put a good thought out there for anyone who might be injured.  I can't stand the thought of an innocent dog, out for a ride w/his owner, being injured.

Amanda, glad to know your brother is ok. Continuing to send thoughts of safety and well-being for anyone else who is worried for friends/family at Ft. Hood.

The guy at work said yes to the game on Monday.  (I channeled my inner Amanda, too, Meg....)

Just got home to all of this. Glad to know that everybody's family is reporting back safe and sound. This is heartbreaking.

Jezzy is doing great. I can tell she feels so much better. I've got to find some way to keep her teeth in better shape so I'm not having to put her under every year. She's just not a dog that will allow teeth brushing, and she isn't a chewer period. So, going to have to find something else.

Thank goodness Amanda.....waiting to hear about Jackie's family.

Poor dog Stacy, but thankful that the man stopped to do CPR on him/her.

I've cancelled my trip to Austin, because my daughter is laid up with a foot injury.  Tell me why please a 33 year old woman would attempt a handstand in the laundry room.  Why?  Sigh.

My DH asked...."How old is she again?"  Good grief.

    What a day.

I haven't been able to reach any of my cousins.  I've left messages so hopefully one of them will call me back soon.  Amanda, I'm so glad your family members are all safe.  I was up there last February visiting.  It's just surreal that this happened.

They're all ok and off base.  They managed to leave before the base was locked down.  What a huge relief, I was really starting to worry.

Jackie and Amanda - I'm so glad that you heard from family and everyone is okay. I can't imagine what the mood must be like there. Very sad situation.

Geesh, that seems like a long time and especially so if there is an infection.

Dr. S put her on antibiotics right away.  I can't remember which one.  His feeling was that if it was just a plain UTI it would cover it.  Once the culture results came in & she needed different antibiotics she wasn't worse, just needed a more specific antibiotic to handle her infection.  I hope that makes sense, I'm still digesting a HUGE mexican dinner.  :)  Anyway, I hope Sassy is feeling better soon.  Give her some rubbies from me.  I'm so sorry you came home to this mess.

I can think of a few reasons, Barbara.  I should probably keep them to myself though....Embarrassed

I'm glad all of our Texas friends are safe.

I was picking out ice cream at the grocery store and I REALLY wanted peppermint but I shot myself down, since it's only Nov...but they had it! I am celebrating finding peppermint ice cream in November by eating a lot of it, and watching Gray's Anatomy. Dr. Carev is going to take of his shirt...drooool. So seeeeeexy. Totally made all the gross surgery scenes worth it.
