Do you let your dog lick your spoon or fork? I do and people think its disgusting, go figure. Smile

Not anymore. Emma is allergic to dander, and saliva has a very high dander.... whatever. She's allergic to spit, so no. Beans, though? Absolutely. I share foods with her, on a regular basis, and take her out without Emma, just so I can.

I let my shepherds lick the spoon / fork / plate when I'm done with whatever I'm eating and there is some food left... I call it my pre wash... I just can't see throwing away food if the dogs would like to eat it...

Yep, my dogs pre-rinse all our dishes before they go in the washer!

Agree! It's a prewash before they go into the dishwasher. It means I don't have to scrub, muahaha! (I NEVER tell my guests, how bad am I?)

Yep, in fact, I sometimes share my food with them and eat off the fork after them. Normally their mouth doesn't touch the fork, they just take the food. And, whenever I cook eggs for them in the morning I have to feed Layla off a fork or she won't eat it..... I don't share with her though! wink

I do!! I know my dog's mouth is clean--i brush her teeth more often than some people brush their own! She loves sharing ice cream cones with me. lol

Casey licks the plates after we eat - but I couldn't eat after he's licked a fork or something... I love my dog... but not that much!

I don't think that Bevo has ever eaten from anything but my hand or his food bowl. It is very likely, if you were to offer him something from your bowl, or off your spoon, that he would give you his best "have you lost your mind" look. I get that look often.... Huh?

He is a licker, if given the chance, so he'd be thrilled to give you kisses!

Oh yes.... Drumsticks are our favorite!!! If I knew how to do it, I would post pics here of us sharing, they're great!!
