Karen, I am so sorry you are having to deal with so much heavy stuff right now. I hope that you can find peace in all of it soon. And Amanda had a good idea, leave your work and go take a walk. It will still be there when you return, and I am sure your client's would understand given the circumstances. I remember being in your shoes with my FIL when they had only given him a few days. It will be hard to accomplish much of anything.
Amanda, sorry to hear about your DH's friend. Suicide is such a difficult thing. My cousin killed himself a few years ago and then my husband's cousin did the same a few years later. It really is difficult to understand. The hardest part for me to understand is how someone could be so desperate and hurt so much that they could do what they did to themselves.
My mother got a call from the Dr today that confirmed that her cancer has been caught early and has not spread. She still has a long road ahead of her and will have chemo/radiation, but she shouldn't need any radical surgery. I am so relieved. I plan to go to the Dr with her this week as an extra set of ears to hear what they treatment plan will be. I still don't want my mom to be going through this, but I do feel a little more hopeful.
On Friday I went and got my hair cut short, and they were doing the national breastcancer awareness month. I made a donation and got a pink strip of hair that they bonded to mine. I LOVE it!
Anyone who needs some cheering up, DON'T click THIS link to a video of Devin playing with Harley. :) It might make you smile when you hear all of the squealing. I can't believe how big she is getting!
