    (((hugs))) for Amanda & Karen.

Been really mad with my lawn service.  They've been supposed to be coming out to re-do the overseeding in my backyard for over two weeks now (original seed washed away downhill due to two days of heavy rain right after they came out the first time).  They kept telling me they'd check the schedule and get back with me.  Well, Friday I called and raised holy heck on them.  I reminded them that they promised they would come back out if it wasn't done to my satisfaction, and also reminded them that I would not be paying the bill until they re-did it.  So, finally, they told me they'd be doing it today.

So, just because I'm mean and wanted to be evil, I *accidentally forgot* this morning to pick up the week's worth of doggy piles from the back yard.  Devil

Oh, and I am now officially addicted to Farmville.  Which reminds me...FBers....I need more neighbors, please! Smile

DH started his shift today with the beginning of a cold. I hope it's not a busy shift and he can get some rest.

Oh goody, my plot is working...you know, the one where hubby can't go to Maui and you take me, Cathy! Geeked

LOL - You're good. I'd say "keep a bag packed" but heck, just bring yourself and we can buy what we need when we get there. Big Smile

I am NOT getting into Farmville.  Farmtown and Yoville are bad enough...and Bejeweled Blitz...*cries*

LOL!  Must be some subliminal messaging in these games that gets you completely hooked on them.

Amanda, I'm so sorry about your husband's friend.  I had a cousin who killed herself at age 20.  It leaves everyone wondering what they could have done to prevent such a senseless loss.

Cathy, I think having a rainbow over you as you drive in must be a sign of impending happiness.  Like a trip to Maui!

    Candace, go clean your room.

Heather, I have refused all offers to join farmville but I am tired of farmtown.  I don't think I'm cut out for the fb game network.  My cookies burn up in Yoville and my flowers all turn brown and ugly because I forget to visit my farm.  Maybe I should stick to the real world.  Like Wii.  LOL

Twister goes in for his vacc's today.  I have a new Vet.  Yes, after almost twenty years with my former Vet, I was forced to find a new one.  Long story that I can't share in a public forum.  I've been to this new Vet several times and I like her a LOT.  She gets down on the floor with the big dogs and cuddles them up and feeds them cheesewhiz off her finger. lol  I've been in this clinic several times with stray dogs I've picked up to have them scanned.  I always liked the front desk people because that's often a good indicator of how the practice is run.  Time will tell but so far I am loving the change.  My coworker that owns Ruger, Twister's office buddy,  has also started using her too.  His dog has an ongoing lung infection and he really didn't want to change Vets but he's been super happy with her too.

*hugs* for Karen and Amanda too.

I am done with Farmville and Farmtown...they just take up too much time! Of course I am still keeping them around in case I come down with some giant cold and have to stay in bed for a week or something silly like that. :)

I know it's only Monday but I am looking forward to the weekend. FH has to go to the city for some ski judging seminar/training thing and I am tagging along so I can see one of my best friends/maid of honor. He just moved to a new apartment and broke up with his (apparently) psycho boyfriend, so I will bring wine :) If anyone can keep up with Deb - it's me and Brian LOL.

The weather is SOOO nice today. I wish it could stay like this all year long!

I was the new Michael Moore movie last night... pretty interesting... and humorous.

I took Casey and his gf Bella to the park last night with some friends - they all had a blast! Nice weather makes for very crazy dogs... running all over the place! They are building a new park with a bunch of agility equipment close by - I'm pretty excited for that!

Guess I should finish being productive before work... cleaning, laundry... sigh.

If I have to sign my name one more time today, I'm cutting my hand off.  That is all.

You can drink with both hands, right?  If not, you might want to rethink that....

Coming back from lunch today, I was at the main intersection of the downtown area where I work.  Riding towards me on a bike with two Dachshunds running loose ahead of her was a woman on a cell phone.  Granted, our downtown is not huge, but all it takes is one car.  Believe me, I've nearly been hit myself in the crosswalk by people in a hurry.  I don't know what ticked me off more, the fact she was allowing her dogs to remain loose and only had half of one eye on them or the fact that they were obviously a "breeding pair" and the momma was on the downside of a weaned litter, and if I had to bet my last dollar, the owner is another glorious BYB.  How long before I see mini weenies at the shelter??

I'm home, but I'm still not cleaning.  I DID do poop patrol.  And talked on the phone with my oldest DS for over an hour.  He's in MI right now, and making his second trip up to see Grandma  Since I'm in his "my circle" or whatever, he likes to chat while he drives...hands free of course since he lives in NY.

I REALLY need some motivation to start cleaning, but heavens, I sure don't know where it's going to come from........

Karen, I'm so sorry about your MIL and Aunt.  Your families will be in our thoughts and prayers.  I hope your MIL has a peaceful passing.

Amanda, that's terrible news about your DHs friend.  I hope he has found peace from whatever demons were torturing him, and that those same demons don't torture his loved ones who are picking up the pieces, wondering what went wrong.

I've had a dumb morning.  My sister is out of town and let me use her brand new Pathfinder.  I went to get something out of the truck and the door wouldn't open w/the remote.  Sucker's battery was dead.  I think something was still on inside when I parked it Saturday night.  I got it jump started today, but I'm slightly paranoid to tell my sister about it, because I'm anticipating one of those "what the hello did you do to my brand new car" converations.  I have to tell her, though, because all her preset radio stations are gone.  Argh.  I swear, my Catholic upbringing has created guilt monsters for the dumbest stuff!  I guess I should wait until she flies back here Weds, rather than bothering her about it now.
