    MC on Moanday

just typed this up and then changed the page before posting - it is Moanday

Briefly we got terrible news about MIL and they think this will be her last week or so.  i was to go to NY this week to see my family and dying Aunt.  Lots of joy here - not.  DH is hanging in there.

Going to call the surgeon today for B's knee - just need to get on with it now

B's buddy Campbell jumped off their deck last night - more in spiritual circle - sigh

Giants game was embarrassing - from my point of view

    Go Yankees

    And welcome back mr Sunshine!

Karen, so sorry for the grave medical news on all fronts.

It's too beautiful to be inside working but I can't seem to fit my desk through the door by myself and no one seems willing to help me. lol  We got the yard looking pretty nice yesterday.  The dogs are so helpful with gardening chores.  Not. lol

So sorry about your MIL, Karen.  It always seems like everything happens at once.  Hang in there.

After a grey/rainy weekend, the sun is out full tilt.  Of course, because it's MOANDAY.

Karen, I am sorry to read about your MIL and Aunt.  I'll keep thoughts & prayers for you and DH.

Am sorry to read about Campbell's recent difficulties.  I hope he starts feeling better.  I'll keep a good thought for him and his owners.

I'm buried at work.  My son decided to call me at 3:00a in the middle of a fight with his roommate.  Both had been drinking.  I told him to sort it out when both parties are sober and that I didn't appreciate the wake-up for no real emergency.  I wish he could see what his part in all of his problems is.  Apparently the last crisis wasn't bottom enough.

Jackie, I like the new avatar pic!

There is a very handsome black Lab/Dane mix at our shelter and I am in love.  I wish I could take him, but it's likely not a good idea at this point.  Agnes is too frail and Moose the cat would flip out completely.  I don't think I could handle the stress right now.

I'd best get to the work thing.

    Ummmmm....what happened to my weekend???

Karen, wow....lots of hugs and prayers heading your way.

I did absolutely everything else this weekend, outside, at the station, but failed to clean my house.  I believe I may need a shovel.....guess what I'll be doing today!

    The Giants game was embarrassing!

It is not shaping up to be a good day.  We got word this morning that one of DH's friends committed suicide yesterday.  DH is devastated.

I should be working but I'm not really in the mood.

DH said that he had been "different" as of late, but nothing obvious to him.

Wow, it doesn't seem to be a good start to the week for so many.

I'm sorry about your MIL Karen and I also just read about Campbell. I truly hope he's okay.

Amanda - so sorry about your husband's friend. I can't imagine getting that kind of news.

Tina - Sorry about the middle of the night call from your son. I know that must be upsetting.

I almost called in sick today. I just felt like staying in bed but I didn't think it'd be a good idea since I start vacation next week. DH started his shift today with the beginning of a cold. I hope it's not a busy shift and he can get some rest.

It's cloudy and cool this morning but I drove in with a rainbow over me the whole way. Smile

Oh goody, my plot is working...you know, the one where hubby can't go to Maui and you take me, Cathy! Geeked

Amanda, I am sorry about your DH's friend.  Many years ago when I was still married a good friend of my then DH did the same. Friend's teenaged children found him in their living room.  It is so hard to understand, but not your DH's fault.  Very sad.

Tina, I think that you should call your son early tomorrow morning to wake him up & tell him what a stinker Moose is.  When he asks why you called to wake him up for that, tell him that your reasoning was the same as his when he called you drunk at 3am.  Smile

Good idea, Amanda.  And here I was thinking that shutting the ringer off was an adequate response.  You're brilliant!

    • Gold Top Dog

Amanda, I LIKE the way you think!

I'm really sorry about your hubs friend.  Wow.  Talk about a permanate solution to a temporary problem.  I guess folks don't think about those that they leave behind...the guilt, the pain......what a shame.

So, here I sit at the station and I've got work to do at home.........

Karen, I'm sorry to hear so much is happening to you right now.

Amanda, that's so sad about your husbands friend.  My nieces and nephews lost a very close friend to suicide last week.  He was 20, but the highschool was a mess about it.  He had been the star quarterback throughout his hs career.  He was the same age as my younger neice, but hung out with my nephew 90% of the time, and raced on the same team as my older niece's fiance for years.  The three boys built the bike ramps he hung himself on.  Sigh...

My girls are in daycare today, but today is a PA day at school so I don't have to work.  I'm gonna clean my bedroom I think....that is, if I can ever get off this computer.  Stick out tongue
