Mindless Chatter - Wedsenday

I was supposed to get dishes done but I got some info back on registering for my continuing ed for my state electrical license. I always get it with the IAEI Texas Chapter. IAEI = International Association of Electrical Inspectors. They have sponsors and hold it at a hotel with a catered lunch, coffee and rolls, etc. And I like learning what the inspectors think, as they decide on our jobs whether something passes inspection, or not. Plus it's a good network. I know about a quarter of the inspectors there from dealing with them on the job. For example, one of the nicest guys you'll meat is the chief inspector of Carrollton. Another one from Irving is a really good guy. And a really smart guy works for the City of McKinney.

So, anyway, I call up an old workmate who always goes to this with me so that I can get his info and send it in. It has to be in before Nov 10. They put on a good presentation and give away door prizes. I won a GPS and a coffee mug last year. Gave the GPS to my BIL and now the nephew has squirreled it away somewhere. Probably have to get another GPS to find it.

It's been a rough week for some co-workers. One lost his dog to malpractice at the vet. Another guy had a dog that was kicked by his mule and the dog died from internal injuries. And John's Sharpei, Gus, was attacked a few weeks ago by a loose dog. Another guy, who owns an Italian Greyhound, found him to have a black eye and they suspect the maintenance man may have caused it.

Interesting sighting today. I'm rounding the curve in a John Deere Gator ( an overgrown go-cart for carrying things around) and in one of the grass islands I see a loose Great Pyrenees eating a bit of food cast off by some worker.

I slowed and said "Hi, girl" and went on to deliver what I was bringing. I looked back and she was gone. Probably lives on one of the nearby palatial spreads.

Amanda, thats GREAT news!! So what if Bevo doesn't have the perfect gait, at least he's walking. Smile Wishing you the best of luck in the coming weeks!

Today I went back to Gibsons and did some more job hunting..  Finally bit the bullet and applied at Wendy's.. Really didn't want to but I'm willing to work in fast food (2 years at McD's...*shudder* ) if it means I can support my pup and Maze on my own. Big Smile So I have to call the Manager tomorrow morning before I take Maze to class.

Tonight I'm making jerky and more cookies since Maze is going through them so fast. But we had our first ever loose leash walk today with no tools, just us, a collar and a leash! I was soo proud!!

I'm still trying to think up names for the little girl and Alex wants a video footage of her when I go to meet her soon. Lol. Says he wants to see the little monster in action. Smile Meaning he can't wait to have a puppy in the house!
