Mindless Chatter - Wedsenday

Hello all!

Today I'm catching up on school work(still) and brainstorming ways to get Sam a playmatre his size.

Not getting my hopes up or anything, but with the Rents flipping out everytime Sam gets a little rough(true to Lab form), I think he deserves a friend his size that can handle rougher play. But with Sam still outside and unneutered, I'm opting to wait about a year. That way *I* have a job and can pay for dog food for 2 med. sized dogs, vet bills, and the works. But it never hurt to look, and possibley try my luck with asking.....hehehe. Stick out tongue

Called to my old school today, trying to re-enroll. I have to wait until Dec. to even be able to look at a schedule. And I have to wait until Jan. to see if that schedule will actually be my schedule. Geeze this is crazy.....I'd like my education(and I'd really love to learn how to spell better!)

Ok, thats the end of my boring-ness. How's everyone else?

edit - fixed my extra N . . . no, I can really spell, I was just making sure you guys could too! LOL! righhttttt....... Stick out tongue

It's Wednesday? Golly this week is going slow....

I have 3 back to back meetings this morning (one is on the phone right now....hee hee multitasking) and one this afternoon.

I play in a handbell choir and had to play 3 different sets last night, including my usual 18 pounders (picture a brass bucket). It was really fun and I totally enjoy it, especially with the Christmas music starting. It also helped me to start working out this darn crick in my neck...

DH says he will be done with his portion of the "biography" part of our adoption paperwork today - Hah! It took me 4 days to write it and I can write much better than he can.

Yeah - spelling is a good thing. (Wednesday - only one n)

Best of luck with school adn the playmate. I've been trying to figure out how to get Rascal one, too. There's a dog in our building that's about his size who gets along with him well, but I'm trying to figure out how to initiate a playdate invitation, and where to hold it, without looking like a sketchy young woman trying to hit on the middle-aged male owner. But our dogs really like each other! Hrm.

In other news I'm having a crappy morning. Miscommunications at work leading to mini-crises, the managers of the rental property I own are really leaning on me to shell out a lot of cash for some renovations (yes, they're needed, but I also feel pretty pressured into it so my first response is "no way";), work today is just generally stressful... argh!

Ha! See? And that was WITH the help of the net. I'm a horrible at spelling, but I'm fairly good with grammer. I credit that to my Mom pounding into my head that I was **not** going to be a redneck-hick like all the other kids in my school that use 'ya'll'(which I use) and 'aint' or 'I be there' as actual words/sentences....again with the unknown spelling....LOL

Cita - I'm sorry your morning is going crappy.....I understand the playmate situation thou. All my neighbors are upper- to middle-aged men, I really don't want, or need for that matter, to look like I'm hitting on older, married men just to find my dog a buddy.

Heh - I chuckled a little too - no offense! Just a little ironic.

It was 48* F here this morning! I'm going to freeze. I have leggings AND jeans on, and on top a cami, long sleeve shirt, and then my work t-shirt. When I walked the dog I put on a sweatshirt, a scarf, and gloves. Of COURSE the morning I have gloves on Pirate finds some variety of animal poop and picks it up, which means I had to...well...'manually extract' it from his mouth AND GET POOP ON MY GLOVES. Naughty, naughty dog.

I can't wait for next semester to start either - I can take a full 12 hours again and my classes will be over by my old doggie day care job ;) so I might go back. I really miss my old friends there. It's about a 45 minute drive but I think my happiness is well worth 45 minutes!

Today's chore of the day is vacuuming, boo!

Hi everyone!!! I have been more of a lurker lately, busy busy busy. I have a short week this week (Fri off) and a short week next week (Mon off). Trying to stay ahead so I don't get too far behind.

We decided to get another crate, one more size down from the two we have. We are going to get a 36L x 26H x 23W. Teddi should fit fine in that, and we can leave Belle ginormous crate home unless we take Max and she needs to be crated. Max only crates with another dog, two fit fine in Belle monstrosity.

My boss really pissed me off last week. I think my office is transforming into a hostile environment and if I were my co worker I would talk about harrassment. She belittles her, doesn't trust her to do her job, it is awful. She is not a bad co worker, she is slow, and can not multi task (neither can my boss). However she always gets her stuff done on time. But the more she is pushed the slower and more mistakes she makes. It is DRIVING ME CRAZY. Last week the boss was not in, called co worker to do something, co worker hung up with boss and placed the call the boss asked her to do. Then my phone rings it is the boss asking what is the co worker doing. I was so pissed being put in the middle. On Wed I told my boss I was not happy with that, then she lied to me twice to my face! I knew they were lies because I informed her during a conversation on Wed. She said she told us. I am sick of it.

Stay warm and don't come north!! LOL.

This AM is was about 30 when Luna decided she didn't want to come in for breakfast. So I was in the yard, with flip flops and PJs on running around trying to get her to chase me. Finally it occured to me that I hadn't called her to come, and low and behold her recall held! She came flying at me did a circle around me, then sat in front. We had a small party and then I picked her up and took her inside, so I could de-ice my feet. Stick out tongue

Anyone have a good tip for relaxing muscles without drugs that will put me to sleep? The past two nights I must have slept in strange positions because I keep waking up with my traps killing me and no range of motion in my head. Heat doesn't seem to be helping and I need to work...

Good luck finding a playmate for Sam - we've been looking for so long for regular playmates for Ari that can keep up with her rough play style (seems like the only dogs we come in contact with are muuuch older than her and have no interest in play with her). We do have our first puppy social Saturday so we're really excited.

I'm still looking for work. I've had to grit my teeth all week to keep the words "I quit, I'm outta here" from escaping. It's already agreed (b/t my SO and I) that shortly I will give my notice with or without employment lined up. I'll take crappy part time jobs to squeek by if need be.

I found a medical secretary/receptionist position at a "localish" hospital - but there's a problem I am worried about. My current employer and boss knows many people there - and while the chances are semi-slim that the particular department hiring will know him or the company I work for, I am worried about that possibility of talk going around. I'm trying to keep very quiet that I'm quitting - for fear of being let go. Plus, moral in my current place is poor - and I do not want to add to it by everyone knowing I want out of here. I do my best to maintain a positive attitude, even if inside I'm ready to scream and run for the hills.

That said - my toes keep going numb on me b/c of these darn heeled shoes. Such a weird feeling...

Yikes, I bit the side of my tongue last night while eating (what a pig!) and now it is swollen and I keep biting it and it really hurts! I can't talk right because I keep trying to keep my tongue from touching my teeth. Well, I guess I will look on the bright side and see if this causes me to eat less and thus lose a few pounds.

Max's Mom I hate drama like that at work.

Cold this morning, 41 degrees.

Miss T, a good speller is a true treasure in my opinion. Heck, I almost won a spelling bee when I was a kid, second place because I spelled God, "god". This IS the Bible belt but as you can see I still have a little resentment after all these many years. LOL at myself.

Yea, but Wednesday is how it's spelled....

All in good fun...I'll be honest, I didn't really even notice until it became a topic of conversation and I went back to look. Proof-reading was never my strong suit. I tend to read how it *should* be rather than what it *is*

You know, that is just so inappropriate for a boss to do that. If she wants to supervise her employees, she needs to be AT WORK. No matter what reason she had for being out. There's no excuse for calling you and asking you to spy. Do you have an HR department? It sounds like this boss is gunning to get your coworker fired. I hate it when bosses have agendas like that.

I fixed Wednesday in the Subject line. Nobody laughing. All of us make typing mistakes. :)

Cita, I'm sorry you're getting pushed into doing something. I am the same - even if it's something good for me, if someone starts pressuring me to do it, I dig in my heels and resist. As a small note to maybe make you smile, I always look at your siggie and totally admire Rascal's pics. Every time I just want to stare and wish I could reach through the computer and touch his silky ears. The last pic of him in the flowers makes me the happiest. Hopefully he can cheer you up.

Hi all. This cold is getting worse by the day. I got no sleep last night. All I want is a soak in my hot tub and to snuggle in bed with my dogs. I miss them so much! I haven't seen them since Sunday.

I had to leave the conference early to get back to the office and finish something up. No calling in sick for me.

Macy's returned my cc payment for some reason and of course slapped me with a $39 late fee. (It was not late darnit!) This is the 2nd time this has happened in the past few months.

Hey now, no one is laughing at anyone.... just enjoying the irony since it was mentioned in Meg's post.

I am always accused of misspelling things at work since I was taught how to spell by Brits in Canada. LOL

My brother was repeatedly corrected by his K teacher for colouring the garbage can blue. The idea was to colour the object with the colour of the same first letter so garbage can = green but.... in my brother's opinion the bin=blue!
