    Ahh the joy of mondays!

akyramoto82 - my Bf wants to bring his new pup to my house....he doesn't even know if he has all his shots! uggg.....Animal Control makes semi-regular visits to the neighborhood behind my house, I dont need them coming up to my house, Sam and Taz both have all shots, but we've lost Sam's records, and I'm not sure if they're registered or not.

I've met way too many people that kinda look at you like 'huh?' when you ask if their dog has had all of their shots. C'mon people!! LOL  ah, it's just gets to me.  I had a friend who wanted me to board his UN-altered, UN-vaccinated, UN-licensed pit bull. ummmm......Nooo......

I politely told him he could 'board' him else where.  That was one of those situations where that 'friend' would probably leave the dog at my place for who knows how long & not pay a dime in food/care. ugh...

VanMorrison - I like you idea about cutting out celebration food. Kinda makes sense why some people eat for comfort - because thats what our culture does 'yay something good!! - lets have cake!'

I like you scrapbook idea, I think it's great.  I've been on a magnet thing the last couple days - i just HAD t have some modge podge!! so i've been making everyone magnets, I'll have to post a few, they're actually really cool.  You could very easily make him one of the puppies for your anniversary. :) Really it's like 5 minute thing!! but you need the modge podge!! ( sorry, completely obsessed with new crafts)

I think that sounds like a lovely gift.

Well, I've reached a milestone today.  I had to change a tire.  I was leaving work for a drs appointment and I ended up being behind a roadwork vehicle that was picking up their signs.  All of a sudden I hear this "POP" sound and then something going "thunk...thunk....thunk..."  I knew it was the tire so I pulled off....couldn't see a thing.  Went a little farther and pulled over, still couldn't see anything.  Got back in and drove a little more and then pulled over....still nothing.  So I headed to the drs office and called my step-mom to see if my dad was home.  She said he was so I called him (I know that sounds weird, but trust me it's easier that way) and he met me after the drs appointment to check it out.  I looked again in the parking spot and couldn't see anything.  Dad got in and we drove to a secluded area so he could hear it and there would be room (no traffic) to take a look.  Well, of course, as soon as he got out to look the bolt was right on top.  I managed to stop and look 4 times and all for times put the blasted thing on the bottom.

So we had to change it.  I have never changed a tire before, although I did have a vague idea of how to do it.  I was very glad Dad was there to help out.  I think I could have done most of it (except for loosening the lugs, he even had a pretty hard time doing that) but having him there made me feel better.  I had to laugh though, b/c of course this would happen on a day I'm wearing new, light colored jeans....

I need an idea for a halloween costume.  I wasn't planning on dressing up this year, but this weekend I got invited to 2 different halloween get togethers where costumes are encouraged.  I'm not creative and I'm blanking.

I need work clothes.  Do you think if I wear all of my ratty easy to nurse in stuff to work, my dad will decide to spring for a few good work shirts for me?  LOL  he had mentioned getting me and my mom some shirts, and when he described them to me it sounded like he was thinking of scrubs, but when I asked he said, No No, nice clean professional shirts.  My mom however told me he wants to get us the kind of shirts that the nurses wear.  Ya, those are scrubs.  Nothing wrong with scrubs if you're a nurse, but I'd feel like a wannabe or something wearing one of them to work in a restaurant.  I just want a plain old button down, collared shirt and black pants.  Easy, no fuss.

Apparently I'm not allowed on the computer today...nobody will nap...sigh.

MOANday is right! I am sick, sick, sick.  I thought it was a cold, but I am quivckly leaning towards the flu. I ache everywhere.  I have been in a scalding hot bath twice and went to the acupuncturist (I had the appointment set up weeks ago) so I could get help with my knee and all of the aches from coughing all night long.

I TRIED to lay down for a nap.  TRIED is the operative word. The entire neighborhood seemed to show up about then, including a friend whom I haven't seen in a year.  I was happy to see her, but it's tough to must up any enthusiasm for ANYTHING when all you want to do is go back to bed.

I threw some frozen lasagna in the oven and dug out bag o' salad. Dinner was done.  Thank GOD it wasn't any harder.

I already know I am not going in to work tomorrow.  They KNOW I am sick because I NEVER take sick days. I have about 120 sick hours accrued, so I don't feel bad about taking them.
