Well, it is raning and this is suppoe to continue thru all day tomorrow, but we did not get the high winds they thought we would. Only got up to about 35 mph. Every once in a while i hear a good gust, but not the 50 mph they thought.

The last direct hiton Corpus was back in '70 and every year they say "We are due, this will be the year". We have lived on the coast since '88 and had mandatory evac 3 times---for Gilbert back in '88, which was the most powerful storm on record. But it turned into Mexico 300 miles from us--still we had flooding here. Then in '99 we were told to leave for Vrett and it urnedand went n sothofCorpus is im tws s smal cae, avey mall one, and came into about the most unpopulated area of Texas. Corpusdid ge sm flooding and few downed trees. And then for Rita, only she didn't turn into us, but went on past us and hit the uppe Texas coast.

But of course this year is not ove and we are not even to peak 'cane season. We just never know.

Glad you made it through. Some of the lesser clouds from the outer arm of Dolly made it as far as the Red River but no rain. However, it did knock the daytime high from 102 down to about 95.
