Is your dog allowed on the furniture? Why/why not?

Indie slept with me in my bed during the winter, under the covers.  He'd spoon up against me and I have to admit, I loved it.  He was a great body pillow!  I just washed the sheets more often.  Maybe it's a temperature thing, he sleeps sprawled out on the floor now.  I tend to keep it cold at night in the winter and warmer during the summer, maybe that's it.

My cats go on the furniture but not the kitchen counters or eating surfaces.  I hate that.  My own thing.  Confused

How could anyone say No to this?????

Yep - Jamison is pretty much allowed anywhere he wants to be.  We both enjoy our cuddle times together.  Mr. W is even known to randomly shout out "Stop making out with that DOG, would ya ??????"  when we get a little too "carried  away".

When people let there dog just lick and lick their face on the mouth that bothers me waaaay more than dogs on the furniture.

Max knows he's allowed on the sofas and the bed and the only time I really have to tell him to get off is when I'm changing the sheets.  Then I get the "look" ... the one that says "Off???  Off???  Me???  What do you mean off??? Mooomm, why do I hafta get off???" He does get down though, but he keeps that pathetic look until I finish and pat the bed to tell  him he can get back up agan.

    GAH!!  especially on the mouth!

I can't stand licking in general, one lick here or there VERY RARELY is ok.  My friend's staffy mix would lick a hole through something if you let her!

my dogs are only allowed on the furniture if they're invited up.
