I was just browsing the online pet stores (puppy shopping!) and noticed you can get these cool beds, now. You freeze these little cold packs and put them into the specially made compartment. Non-toxic crystals and they supposedly stay frozen all day. I've been thinking of getting something like that for my rabbit. She's truly dreadful at coping with heat, and unlike her predecessor, is yet to accept the ugliness that is a frozen water bottle in her home upsetting her feng shui.
Penny wouldn't be able to comfortably jump into a wading pool even if she wasn't concerned about the depth of the water! It's hard being very short sometimes. We're moving close to a very large river close to the ocean, though, so she can cope with swimming excursions. Preferably not in our pool.
Hooray for autumn! I feel your pain, though. Adelaide had 10 days above 40 degrees celsius in a row last month. It was a new record. I'm not sure what that is in farenheit. Above 100, I think. Thankfully I don't live in Adelaide.
