Too HOT! need a pool already

It's 5pm and it is still 92 degrees in the shade.  Barney overheated last night and threw up all of his dinner.  Today he slept all day inside.  I'm already looking for the next dog pool.  Bleah.

Hey,I'll trade you. We're so sick and tired of the cold. It supposed to get to 60 this Wednesday.

It was 95 here yesterday -- we intended to go to a pet fair yesterday.  Had a seminar in the morning, came home and got the dogs and went for lunch (went to a Panera so we could sit outside with them).

And frankly by the time we got done with lunch (which was on a covered patio out of the sun) we were frankly TOO hot to go to the pet fair and we just plain went home.  Mid-April is too  early for such hot weather.  *sigh*  But we're closest to the sun during this month and you can get THE most hellacious burn ever being outside without sunscreen even in the breeze.

I was going to say "deal" but it's supposed to cool off to the 60s in a couple days so we'll be about even

LA county.   I refuse to turn the a/c on this early.  But Barney is a cooked pooch.  I've been online today looking at ToysRus for kiddie pools already.  I heard it was 102 in Anaheim.

We're in AZ and had to turn the air conditioner on today.  It was stuffy for us, which was annoying enough, but having a fluffy dog we make sure the air is on as soon as he seems to be getting warm.

It's been warmer than usual here too (mid 80s) but on the news tonight they said to expect a 20/25 degree cool down over the next few days. I'm looking forward to getting the yard furniture uncovered and my 1/2 whiskey barrels planted, but not to the high temps we'll probably be having by next month.

CoCo will trade ya for the weather!  I personally love the northeast weather... so i wouldnt trade ya!

She's a sun baby!  She LOVES it!  We had one really nice day last week, upper 70s and she was out on the deck all day sunbathing and sleeping in the sun.. when she gets too hot, she goes inside and sprawls out on the tile.... then when she feels the need for more sun, she's back outside! lol

     Lazy bum!

Doggie pools are a necessity in my neck of the woods.  We use a sand box that our grandkids don't use anymore.  Its great!  Sturdy and when not in use, its got a cover.  You might be able to find a used one on eBay.  Here's a couple of pics of Heidi enjoying hers when she was little.

The one thing I wish it had was a drain so I didn't have to lift it up to pour out the water.  Hmm...I should have DH look into putting one in.  I'll bet it can be done.

Well we had several days of pooring rain last week Storm and the temps dropped down to 25 last night.   I couldnt put a tarp over the whole yard so I cut most of the lilac blooms off and brought them in the house and covered my azaleas.  Looked pretty sad this morning, supposed to get that way again tonight.  Its sunny tho, not supposed to get more rain til Thursday and then some of your heat is supposed to be coming our way.  The people pets and plants are ready for a few warm dry days

I saw on the news this morning that we actually hit 91 yesterday but today the high will be 71. I liked the warmer temps but I'd kind of like it to be in the 80s for awhile before it jumps to the 90s...and then 100s.

Your pool is lovely.  I have NO idea how you get your dog to wipe her feet, however.  I have to empty mine several times a day.  Last year I opted for the small $8 version that I can flip easily.
