What does your dog do to get you to pet him/her? (jewlieee)

Jessie will sit and wave to be petted. She also nudges our hand. When I'm on the PC she'll stick her head under my arm. When I'm sitting in a chair watching TV she leans against my legs and if I don't pet her she'll do it again, only harder. My son, who doesn't live with us anymore, doesn't care much for dogs but when he visits she'll sit sideways by his legs and roll her head back to look at him; works every time.

Hee hee too cute :) my dogs do the stare thing as well.  I hate the pawing for attention.

Well, if I'm not in the same room as Misty for what?  a minute!  When she see's me she comes running over, jumps on me, then I have to correct her, but you know its because she hasn't seen me in like a year, so then she settles, but her tails a waggin' and she leans in on you and well, then I pet her, scratch her, kiss all over her!  If I'm sitting on the couch, she'll just come over and rest her face between my legs or across my lap, and I pet her, scratch her, kiss all over her!  She's just too darn cute sometimes, I can't resist!  Can you say SUCKER!!!

Chyna & Schatzi both come over & sit in front of me & give me "sad eyes."

Bevo has perfected the "doberman lean" & leans into my legs to mooch a scratch over his nub.

Brinxx, sits in front of me & puts her head in my lap.

Shooter whines a very high pitched annoying whine, that I just can't say no to.

They all know exactly how to work it, so that they get petting.

I ignore them if they're sitting there staring at me, because it just annoys the crap out of me. So they have learned that if they do cute things it gets my attention pretty quick. Eevee will sit in front of me and bend her head up and look back at me upside-down LMFAO. Shippo walks up to me, drops to the floor with a big stretch and goes "arooooooo?" Or he'll wave at me. LMAO.

My dogs if a hand is available will pet themselves walking under your hand. Maxine will go belly up in the living room and wait for someone to come pet her fluffy belly. It ALWAYS works. Belle is getting the hang of that too. Teddi would walk around talking until someone started to pet her.

Mine really only demand attention in greeting behaviors. When Emma's happy to see someone, she slams herself at their feet, belly up. If she's *really* happy to see them, she can't make it all the way to their feet. Teenie boings, in greeting, til the greeted person bends over and pets her.

If I've really, really been ignoring them, both will do a tiny whine and stare. It normally doesn't come down to that, though. I call them over when they're being good dogs and smoosh them to deathWink
