Aaa!  You're one of those huh?  A Gordon fan?  Oh well, if I can forgive my cousin for that, I can forgive you, too.  LOL

I noted Mark Martin's flag.  I had truly hoped he would win last year.  I think he is the most respected of all the drivers...

Yeah, he's a class act, that's for sure.  Too bad he'll be driving a Chevy this year (when he drives)!

...I got into rqacing by accident...

Not me.  I've always loved racing.  Used to go to the dirt races when I was a teen.  Until 1997, tho, I could only watch Daytona.  Back then, that was the only race  on network TV, and we didn't have cable.  I was thrilled when we had to get cable when we moved.

...Being the stone age creature that i am, i had no idea how to tape one station and watch another...

LOL  You sound like my mother.  She doesn't know how to set the timer, either.  So she turns her tv & vcr on to tape her soap and leaves for work (she's in & out all day, so can turn them on just before her soap comes on).

...DJ was dribing the Qualilty Care car back then and I thought it the 2ed prettiest car...

That's what drew me to DJ.  Back then, I was making a check out every month the Ford Motor Credit, his other major sponsor.  We decided we'd better root for him since we owned some of his car!  But he really is a sweet guy.  I  met a couple of people at a dog show who met him.

I don`t know what the commercial this is promoting but its the one with the guy that has a new house in a great neighborhood, new car, pool, belongs to the golf club, mows his lawn with a power mower and says How can I afford this. I `m up to my eyeballs in debt please help me. This one is funny to me ever time that I see it.

My favorites are the Budweiser Clydesdales commercials, they're all really good. And I have seen the 'Mean Joe' commercial....though I don't remember where, they must have played it again recently. I also like the 'Wanna get away? Now you can' commercials....but I don't remember the airline! Some of those are pretty funny [:)] I thought the commercial with all the animals in the jungle was hilarious, for some reason --MDX, Be Nocturnal [;)]

The one I STILL quote is an old one from Wendy's.  It's a fashion show in what's assumed to be in the Soviet Union.   A woman in drab clothes walks down the runway & she's holding a flashlight.  You hear a voice that says "Evvenin veer, veeery nice"
OMG - I remember that commercial and the exact place I was the first time I saw it -- at my cousins' house in New Hampshire.  We were there for a week, and we must've acted out and recited that ad 1,000 times that week!  I think the woman was wearing the same drab grey dress in each sequence, only she'd hold a different accessory for the clothing style (I think she had a beach ball for "cruise wear," flashlight for "evening wear," etc.).  To this day, if I hear the phrase "evening wear," I repeat it with the Russian accent, followed by "very nice!"  I could not have told you what it was advertising, though, so even if I remembered it for 20+ years, it didn't do its job!
