    All Time Favorite TV Commercial

Okay, we got the thread going on the m ost obnoxious, the m ost disliked, etc TV ad.  Well, do you have an all time favorite?  I love all athebeer ones with the Clydesdales h orses----all of them.  And i love any with puppies, any breed.

My all time favorite was from years ago and only old timers are likely to rememeber it.  Football player Joe Greene (Mean joe Green) is walking down the tunnel, limping, and a little boy offer's him a coke.  He takes the coke and starts to walk off and then turns and thanks the kid and throws the little boy his jersey.

Hmm....for old skool, the California Raisins ones would get my vote...those were great and exposed kids to some real, GOOD music!

I also loved the one for something I forget...where Joe Montana gets shown pictures on cards and no matter what they are he says "Reggie White"...[:D]

I like NFL commercials in general, and ESPN has had some really...REALLY funny ones...like the one's where the famous athletes just kinda hang out at ESPN HQ....Grant Hill (?) playing piano in the lobby...Evander Holyfield in a cubicle...those. GREAT! the ones for College Gameday where Lee Corso is hearing kids singing "Skip To My Lou" while the other two guys are conentrating really hard to get ready for the show...omg...lmao....

OH.....and the LeBrons...LOVE THEM! They are awesome....I esp love the "Summertime" one with Business diving into the pool...and Wise talking about "he don't wanna get his hair wet..." that's brilliant commercial writing. I actually watch these on Youtube!

I really haven't seen a commercial outside of sports ones, that've made me laugh or that I actually have TIVO'd backwards to watch again.

I don't remember the company, but it's a travel commercial.  A woman is in someone else's bathroom, and she decides to snoop in the medicine cabinet.  She opens it and a bunch of stuff falls out, making tons of noise.  The woman who actually lives there yells out something like, "Is everything okay?"  And then it cuts to the end and a voice says, "Wanna get away?" and a it gives a website for special travel deals.  I've not seen it in a long time, so some of the details may be off.  It ALWAYS makes me crack up.  That's something I'd do ...

easy, i know this by heart and can play it on dh's acoustic, the goldfish cracker commercial with the song, heres the words ( my family hates when i start up with it [:D])

"heres our jingle for goldfish, baked and not fried goldfish, the snack that smiles back unitl you bite their heads off. don't ya know their made with real cheese, even though they look like fishies, the snack that smiles back goldfish."

Oh, that Mean Joe Green commercial is priceless.  I love the Budweiser Clydesdale commercials, too, but my all time favorite commercial was the Folgers Christmas one years ago.  The one where the older brother comes home for Christmas.  Some newer commercials that I like are the Geico one with the squirrels in the middle of the road, and  the NASCAR one with Michael Waltrip at the wrong track.  I also liked the UPS commercials with Dale Jarrett, especially the one with the little boy holding his breath until Dale "raced the truck".

The Polaroid commercial where the dog is always getting in trouble for getting into the trash, and he finally gets a pic of the cat actually doing it!  Totally busted! [sm=rofl.gif]

I like that camera ad too.  Poor dog gets blamed for everything!

I also like the one out now where the cat has to enlist the help of a Bloodhound to locate his litter box!  I guess that Fresh Step is just that good.......[;)]

I forgot about the camera one!

I think my favorite one has to be the snickers commercial from years ago.  There's teams ;playing football and this guy gets hurt.  Everyone hovers over him and starts asking him "Are you ok?"  "How many fingers am I holding up?"  "Where are you?"  "Who are you?"  The last one he answers "I'M BATMAN!!" [sm=lol.gif]and then starts running around like a goofball.  The part with him running around the sidelines with a cape on is the best!  [sm=rofl.gif]

Wow, I have so many.  The one I STILL quote is an old one from Wendy's.  It's a fashion show in what's assumed to be in the Soviet Union.   A woman in drab clothes walks down the runway & she's holding a flashlight.  You hear a voice that says "Evvenin veer, veeery nice"  I also love alot of the beer commercials.  One of my favorites is the one with the Clydsdales all waiting around while a Zebra looks @ the replay camera.

I think my Bud Clydesdale commercial is the one with the colt wantint to pull the wagon and he slips into the collar and starts straining and the wagon starts to move and then as he pulls it you see two grown ones ushing thier heads to push it.  I always think how encouraging that would be to the little guy (or a child).  yep, liked that "Russian Fashion show" ad also.

One of you mentioned the DJ UPS ads and the Micheal Waltrip ads--you muyst watch racing because that is the only place I see them.  I love the DJ ads, he is a natrual for them  I don't miss a race!Starts back up in just a very few weeks.

Another commercial hubby and I both loved from about 35 years ago was of alka seltzer.  Shows the family driving thru snow covered area and singing "over the river and thru the woods to Grandmother's house we go", then the big family around the table ladded with food and the Grandmother saids "George, bring the other turkey."  One guy mouths the words "The other turkey?" and a little boy says "I'm not hungry" and the Dad looks at him and says "You're hungry, you're hungry"

That would be me.  Yes, I watch the races.  I will admit to missing one now and then, but I tape them every week anyway.  I love DJ and the Roushkateers.  Won't be cheering for DJ anymore, tho- I love my Fords more!  Plus, I have a problem with Toyota running NASCAR- you know, the foreign car thing.  Is my redneck showing yet?  [:D]

yep- 29 days and counting!  You should see our house President's Day Weekend- all decorated for Daytona.  Check out what I did last year.  The fish tank still looks like that (my fish have NASCAR related names).

One year I hung my full sized (as in hang on a real flag pole) DJ flag on the closed drapes in the front window.  Not sure what I'm going to do this year- we redid the diningroom over the summer, and I really like the way it looks.  Maybe I'll just do it for Daytona (didn't take the race stuff down until we started work in there!).  This year I'm adding a checkered flag from Charollett and a desk set flag stand from Daytona to the top of the entertainment center.  They had been my great uncle's (his daughter was a NASCAR secretary back in the '70's).  My mom gave them to me after my aunt passed away.

I noted Mark Martin's flag.  I had truly hoped he would win last year.  I think he is the most respected of all the drivers.

I am a Jeff Gordon fan.  As I sit here, on the shelf above my key board is a boble head jeff, a mini jeff, a bear dressed in 24 jacket, a key cain with 24 car on it, a pciture a friend did when he won the Daytona couple of years ago, and a trivet from Deleware that my DIL gave me after visiting her Mom.  Is suppose to be a keep sake from Deleware, but i call it my jeff gordon trivet with some deleware stuff on it.  Have it on a stand.  In my closet i have JG flannel pants, a few tee shirts, a dress i made out of JG material, and a Jeff Gordon coat.  I also have a 3x5 JG flat that i hang in the middle bay window during raching and a JG rally towel that  hangs on my mirrow of my dresser druing season.  I have a bracelet with two each #24, the 24 car, and checkered flag.  Have JG sticker on my back window and licencse plate frame.

I got into rqacing by accident.  Our older son, while still at home, would start to watch the race on Sunday, but had to be at work at 3:00 and he would want me to tape the ending.  Being the stone age creature that i am, i had no idea how to tape one station and watch another, so i would put the TV on the race (he didn't have VCR in his room) and would work crosswork or sew and then there would be a wreck, or someone would come from 5-6 cars back and be in the lead and before long i was hooked.  He was a Gordon fan,m his best friend a  DE  sr. fan.  I picked Gordon because I thought he had the prettiest care out htere.  DJ was dribing the Qualilty Care car back then and I thought it the 2ed prettiest car.
