I wonder what will be next. always something when you own a house it seems.
Boy, ain't that the truth, Vivian! That is something I find myself saying a lot. And even when things aren't old or broken and need replacing, there's plenty of regular, ol' maintenance all the time: yardwork, cleaning gutters, washing windows, etc. Either we spend our valuable time (and aching backs) doing these things ourselves, or we spend our money hiring someone else to do them. Either way, it's not pleasant!
Doug, so glad Sky has found himself a favorite drinking establishment. Just be sure he doesn't invite his neighborhood buddies to join him around the "bar!"
Kate, your story of the old drill reminded me of an ancient adding machine I have. It was my grandfather's when he first opened his practice -- it weighs a ton, and when my aunt shipped it to me, a section of its base broke off, but it's really cool.
Jackie, enjoy the new range hood. We wish we had a bigger one - the standard ones really don't work very well at eliminating cooking odors.
Glenda, you need to take some pics of your critters - they sound so tame, I bet they'd be happy to pose very nicely for you!!
Fabulous weather the past couple days -- cool nights, crisp mornings with brilliant blue skies, warm afternoons, but not so hot we need the A/C. You can feel fall in the air. The best kind of weather!
