Julie; I hope your electricity is on again very soon. We had a bad ice storm here a few years ago and were without power for several days; it's definitely not fun; the house got pretty chilly inside and we were sleeping in our coats. I really hope you see your nieces; give them a hug for me too.
Our daughter came home from graduate school to spend Christmas with us and our son and his fiancee came from Florida. Yesterday we took them to Turkey Run State park; some of you may have heard of it, but it has beautiful canyons. The creek running through the canyons was frozen and my son and his fiancee had a lot of fun playing on it; they were like a couple of kids sliding on the ice. They were trying to cross the creek to get to a frozen waterfall; DH warned them that the ice was too thin and then joined them and broke through the ice several times.; the creek is shallow so he just got his boots wet but it was funny. The three of them were climbing some of the hilly areas along the sides of the canyons and having a blast; it created some great memories.
I wish all of you happiness and peace; a very Merry Christmas!!!!
