TGIF!

    Dragging myself to the forum.......

This has been the week from Hades!  I haven't had time to spit all darned week.  Not that I make a habit of spitting, but still......if I wanted to I couldn't have.  I'm home "early" today.  Walked in the door at 4:30.  All week I've been going to pick DH up when I finshed work at 6:30 or 7.

Great weather it looks like this weekend, and I'm spending it playing in the dirt!  I need the fresh air and exercise and to NOT think about work for 48 hours.

Congrats to Mr. W...and prayers for Deb.

I'm sure I missed something since I just scanned, but hoping everyone has a great weekend.

My goal for today was to weed and much my front flower bed and it's done. Wohoo. The flower bed is not that big but I neglected it all last year so it was quite over grown. I also weededhalf of the flower bed that wraps around the whole front of my house. My wheel barrel has a flat tire though. How the heck do you fix that? Sometimes wish I had those man genes that made it so you automatically know how to fix stuff.

I also met up with a friend and her dogs for a hike. She has a leash reactive dog too so we went in knowing things might not go well. we did the best we could Introducing them but there was just too much energy and abbie and the other dog got into a fight. . After it was over they became best buds hunting around the woods together. dogs. They seem to get over stuff so quickly. I wish I was that forgiving.

Gorgeous here!  The wind is gone and the temps are headed for the high 80s - warm, but not what we'd consider too hot.

Lisa, I was just scanning through the last couple of days to see what I missed.  Keep your eye on that sulindac.  It can cause kidney damage, which I found out the hard way when they gave it to me for an arthritic knee and never monitored it or told me to come in every 6 mo. or so for blood work. Hmm If I hadn't applied for mortgage insurance and failed the physical because of it, I'd probably be on the transplant waiting list right now.

    Have a great weekend, everyone!

Cograts to Mr. W retiring but I will pray for you Deb. Just hope he doesn't drink too many of those great drinks you are always posting.

Karen I like that " A retired husband is a full time job."

Julie, happy to hear you didn't have any messes waiting for you.

Callie that was great that you got the doctor's office to call your Mom. I don't think many of them will do that anymore.

Glenda, glad to hear from you. Sorry about your week from Hades.

Joyce, you actually had to have a physical to get Mortgage Insurance? I got it several years ago and didn't have to do anything like that.

Had an almost catastrophe tonight. Our dog Corey got a hold of one of our cats, Carmella, and I was sure I was going to have to take her to the vets. He had her on the ground between his front legs and had grabbed her and I think he was getting ready to shake her...think that's the jack russel in him. Not sure he has jack russel but a lot of things point in that direction. I was afraid to grab him, as I thought that would just make him wilder. Hubby came in and threw something at him or whacked him. I'm not sure which and Corey is his little buddy too. I finally got Carmella out from under the bed and checked her all over and was very surprised to not even find one bite wound. I'm sure she's bruised and will probably be sore for the next few days. He never chases the cats. it's just if a cat gets in his space that he gets crazy. It is a constant managing thing that we have to do. I really wish there was some way we could close off different rooms, to make things safer, but our house just isn't designed that way. We are usually very vigilant about it all but I just wasn't paying attention. I'm not sure if she fell off the counter right near Corey or what happened. My fault, as I was fixing food and knew better. I don't know why I did it differently tonight. I usually fix the cats food first and then the dogs. It's so routine when I do it that way, that I'm constantly aware of where everyone is. Tonight I fixed the dogs first and then Corey was right back in the kitchen, while I fixed the cats. Just thankfully everyone is okay. Carmella is the sweetest kitty too. I feel so bad for her and so very mad at myself for letting my guard down.
