Help with finding a dog

Not biased or anything here, but what about a Corgi? Smile

Extremely people friendly (to a fault), dog friendly as long as their not in your face, obnoxious. I only walk her once a day, sometimes 2 miles and somedays around the apt complex.Shes totally fine with this too. Major couch potato, 19 lbs and requires only a good brushing everyday. SHEDDING fool is an understatement. I also have two cats that shes been raised with and loves. She talks, a lot. Not barks, but talks.

Luke is probably the barkiest cavalier ever, but he only does it when excited or there is something to bark about. The health is definitely an issue. I love my dog, I will have another, but if someone wanted a long lasting dog, they are a poor choice.

I loved the thread, I only have big dogs but have been owned by a Pug when I was a teen and as far as small dogs go I have had a Basset and a Terrier mix.  I have never been much for small dogs but have been tempted to consider a Corgi should I ever decide on a small dog again.  They kinda remind me of a big dog in a small body :)

Speaking of talking....My Hot Shot, a boy dog, a large boy dog, a large not hound boy dog talks more than any dog I have ever been around and...has gotten Rocky talking too.  Almost like Rocky cant get a word in edgewise.  Of course this is all my hubbys fault, he started it and continues to encourage the talking.  Feed me...pet me...let me out...mom's home...there is a fly on the wall...lol!

Excellent choice, Gin! You're absolutely correct in that they have no clue about their being little. Tootsie could probably run circles around another dog!

ETA: I think Corgis get labeled as "barky" dogs. Tootsie only barks when someone knocks, shes stuck or other "normal" things dogs bark at.
