Mindless Chatturday

I spent the day checking off and on for the lab mommy and her delivery. Fortunatley, the owner took her to the hospital and they delivered the remaining 5 puppies via c-section. All were deceased but momma is okay and that's what I was most worried about. I'm so happy that Daisy is home with her human family tonight.

Sounds like everyone had nice weather for a change! But gardening already? Oh I'm jealous! We still have snow on the ground

I agree, nothing like a new hike with a friend on a nice day. That is probably my fav thing to do is hike. A friend and I tried to do that yesterday but the snow was so sucky that we barely made it down the first bend of the trail. Even the dogs were annoyed because 3 paws would stay on top of the snow and 1 would sink. So, it was a short hike but we were all tired after

Today turned out pretty nice. My friend and I decided to give sunny her last ha-raa with the aussie gang so we went to the closed down golf course - turned unofficial dog park. Its bitter sweet. I will miss her sillyness and cuddles and she gives the most gentle little kisses. She is a little lover girl - which is amazing considering her lack of socialization.

I'm taking her down to her new family tomorrow for a 2 week trial adoption. Hopefully I won't cry too much. I mean I've had her for a year. Its hard not to be attached, you know?

The family is really excited though. I talked to the wife again today and offered some suggestions on what to have ready and how we should introduce sunny to their dog. I told them to be prepared and that it may be scary. They are taking me seriously so that is a really good sign! I also said that they should talk to their youngest kids friends because sunny is not used to kids and I don't want anyone getting bit if she gets scared. They agreed and said that they would and are prepared to manage it. I couldn't ask for a better family for her. If this works out, she is so lucky. They will work on her training and she will even get to go to work with the dad every day. I am going to be so worried for her for the next 2 weeks!

Anyway, I also went and saw valentines day with some friends. I wasn't really impressed. It was ok but just ok. There were a lot of hotties in it though.

Hey Moonlight, you're about an hour from Winston-Salem, right?  If so, I'd be happy to hike with you once I move up there! Smile

That's so sweet!  I just ran across this, but I'd love to meet up for a hike sometime.  Kya is a bit leash-reactive, so she'd need babysat, but the cresteds would love it.
