I have lived with Mutts,Dodermans,Huskies, and Golden Reteivers..

Asking me to pick a breed is to me asking me which of my kids i like best...lol

I know it's very hard.  All dog breeds are intelligent, beautiful, and important in many different ways.

Siberian Huskies, as if anyone should doubt.

Most definately JRT's and Iggy's(Italian Greyhounds).
I love my JRT's, they are totally awesome. Since I have rescued my Iggy I have now fallen madly in love with the breed. They are so gentle and loving, got to get me another 1 or 2 or 10.

Collies, of course.  I think the close second is the Bull Terrier.

I'm a mutt person. There's just something about a totally unique dog that doesn't look like many others...

My favorite breed though is the golden retriever. They're just sooo gorgeous and all around fabulous. If I ever get a purebred, I imagine it'll be a golden.

Oh! And Aussies. I looooooove them too.

Mutt person here, too. [:)][:)] The only problem is that everything that comes with a picture of a dog on it is very breed specific.  I'll never be able to find a coffee mug or key chain or t-shirt that has a pic that looks like Max on it. [:(]

    I love mutts, too.

My favorite breed has to be the beautiful Pomeranian, though.

I go to pet stores and such, and there are hardly any Cairn Terrier things.  Yes, there are some, and yes, there are more Cairn Terrier things than there are Catahoula Leopard Dog things. But it irritates me (and I can only imagine what it does to you) how Goldens and Border Collies are beautiful and much more popular, thus more breed specific items for them.

I live with the Great Dane breed.  I wanted companionship, temperment, and security and boy did I get a whole lot more.  I have fallen deep for these gals so much so that I had the crazy idea of bringing in fosters into my home to strengthen my emotional response for when its time for us to part.  Talk about a total failure.  The fosters make me appreciate and love the Danes even more.

My favorite would have to the Austrailian Shepherd, with so much energy and so much life to them.  They've been my favorite since I was about 6.  One day I'll have one though, just not now.
    • Puppy
I always had mutts as a child and love them to this day. But when I became a dog groomer many years ago the most popular breed was the poodle. I fell in love with the breed and have never gotten over Poodle love. I  now have my 5th poodle. I have had all three sizes and like them equally, but because I am not a spring chicken anymore my next one will be a  toy. I have an oversized mini now he is 17 inches and I keep him in a show clip. I have also just fell in love with another breed, the chinese crested, I prefer the powderpuff, that is what I have. They are very comical dogs and loads of fun,Both of my dogs are registered therapy dogs and that is fun too. I know that what ever other dog I have,I will always have a poodle, they are so special.

My all time favorite is the working Australian Shepherd.  Smart (brilliant, in fact), versatile (bred to herd ducks, sheep and cattle), loveable (with people they know), guardians (don't try to steal my silverware), and beautiful (wash 'n' wear).  I wanted one since my Sioux came to me (a 1/2 Aussie mutt - I love them, too), and now I have one!  Little Sequoyah-bean-the-speckled-monstah-little-red-
